Getting mutated? Or do you like them better as human threats?

I'm looking forward to seeing them as mutants.:tsmile:

Yes & no. I don't much care for Xever, his attitude makes him unlikable. I think a mutation would help that out. I do like Bradford as is, though. Plus, his armor & stuff is badass.

I'm sorry, but this series has way too many mutants running around unaccounted for. The last thing it needs is two more.

Yes....yes....all 7 of those unaccounted for mutants. That's far too many.

I can't wait for them to mutate! I want to see how they get mutated (where the fish and dog come into play) and I want to see how much more of a threat they will be to the turtles.

Chris Bradford a world renown martial artist who leads a double life sounding like Lex Luthor and looking like Chuck Norris being mutated into a dog-man? I don't like that. He had a strong build up and could serve better purposes as a link to the real world Shredder may not have. He has a cool outfit and is a threat not to mention is genuinely likeable as a character desipte being a baddie(hey, they are much cooler more often).

As for Xever(last name?) has an odd name and limited potential. A street smart thug who has connections, not threatening to me. I never got into Hun and thought street punks as a thirty second fight in a superhero show so Xever did not impress me and turning into a tuna called Fishface does not help matters. I don't care either way with Xever, but Chris Bradford int oa dog-man,sorry but its a major step ack after a srong build up. I take him seriously unlike Xever. Well, that is my prsonal take on the two of them.

Make that for for the "Does Chris Bradford REALLY have to become Dogpound?"

I hope Playmates makes a human Bradford at some point. That will be an awesome figure....well...maybe. This is Playmates after all.

I would love that. Ya,know it might not be too much out of the question. The Mutations theme lin has ran three times before, original line,'03 inspired, and 4th movie inspired so why not in a year or so make Mutations version 4 with the TMNT, Hamato Yoshi,Bradford, and Xever?

This might sound crazy, but perhaps Bradford and Xever could control their mutations and change back to human form at will?

In Bradford's case especially there seems to be far too much work put into his human design and armor for it not to ever be used again after he mutates.

Jester
11-13-2012, 08:29 PM
To be fair, the armor is part of his mutant self, but I see what you mean. It's also such and awesome design, I hate to see it never show up again.

While I like them both, I find Xever to be a more interesting villain than Bradford. The fact that he seems to be completely remorseless, a little sadistic, and out for himself makes him genuinely dangerous and scary. I'm looking forward to seeing them mutate but I'll definitely miss their human forms.

Xever's design is more generic than Bradford's. You could tell they gave him the accent and the knives in a way to spice his character up a bit more.

You know... I wouldn't mind if this series gets packed with mutants. It'd be a change of direction from the traditional material, and so far I like every unique twist on this show.

Granted there should be equally as many human/mechanical villains, but what if say, The Kraang accidentally turn half the city into raging mutants one day? That'd be a cool twist IMO.

I am almost sad they are going to get "turned" in the near future. I really like seeing threatening ordinary human enemies for a change. Especially Xever. I love his design. He is one of my favourite characters in the show.
1. Leo
2. Raph
3. Splinter
4. Xever
5. Donatello

I don't find either character that intriging as they are now. Maybe if I was a fan of old kung fu movies, I'd dig Chris Bradford a little more but he just comes off a generic villian just like Xever, though Bradford happens to be a celebrity in that world. I'd kinda like to see the Turtles reveal the truth behind Bradford at some point before he gets mutated into Dog Pound.

I'm ready at any time now for their mutation, since Bebo/Rocksteady mutated in the second episode, plus there of course could be a plot or two like with R&B where they temporarily mutate back into their old selves. It will be a good time to compare their mutations to R&B in terms of their development. I just don't want them to bump into each other immediately on their first fight as mutants implying that their imbeciles. I'd also like to see the vocal changes (Sniffs for Dogpound, flaps for Fishface) in addition.

i actually like that they're humans. it's nice to see human villains every once in a while, besides shredder. i welcome more mutants to this show... colorful villains work well with the kiddies. but i''d hate to see the show overwhelmingly populated with mutants. i say keep bradford and xever as humans... but bring in dogpound and fishface anyway. they represent the danger that humanity can be to the Turtles.

It's too late to turn back time and change things though. Everyone who'se seen the description on the action figures know Bradford and Xever's fate. Besides, I have a strong feeling they're going to be mutated in tomorrow's episode.

I kinda feel sorry for Xever though.... Bradford basically becomes an even bigger powerhouse than he already was... but Xever becomes a fish... that has to rely on an air-breathing machine and robot legs. Sorry, but all the Turtles have to do is mess up his cyberlegs and he's basically a helpless fish flapping all over the ground. Whoever thought up his mutant design musta really had it in for the poor guy. Or he musta tosses alot of blind old guys off of buildings and this is karma biting him in the ass.

I personally like the idea of having more human villians.

Bradford is SO well known in the martial arts circles, to be able to have some sort of voice out in the public... there'd Have to be some sort of way for him to use that to his advantage. Xever's more important in the lower levels of society, in the gangs and prisons. He could have a major network of bad guys to collaborate with, if he had the reputation to be a leader.

I think the most dangerous villain is one that has the power to influence public opinion. Anyone remember Dregg from the OT? Or Shredder from 2K3? It's all about the people you know...

We'll just have to see what the writers have in mind for these two...

I hear ya, dude..I like xever quite a bit!

..I wanted to point out here that he becomes a piranha mutant, thats no tuna, you fool!and bradford seems to become a husky...I think Im gonna less and less frequent these threads, theres too much crying over every small detail that we all dont have a clue about yet for my tastes...so so long compadres, see you in the episode discussions from time to time!

on topic, I enjoy them as humans right now and to me there lies the drama and greatness at the same time, that we care for them in some way already and then they are being horrificly transformed... thats the beauty!I like their mutant design very much!

I agree. It seems like Xever is more ****ed by his mutation than Bradford. but it kind of makes Xever's mutation more interesting if nothing else, just going by the toys, I thought Fish Face was more interesting of a design because they really had to be creative to make the character threatening or to just live. but Xevers seriously screwed more than just about any mutant.

I'm in the air about the transformations. I wasn't really excited about them. but i'll make my judgement as time goes on.

I guess Shredder makes his robotic legs for him.

I still wonder why he would bother. And also, the Foot hasn't been shown to have that kind of technology yet.

Bradford and Xever were forced into a draw with the TMNT so Bradford wanted to kill them and maintain honor which meant bursting the containerof mutagen demutating the turtles and mutating the two of them. I have a feeling he did not know what it was and though all six would die but the TMNT were agile enough to miss the blast and he and his unlikely partner got the full blast. It turns out they allow the TMNT to escape Shredder by surprising him by emerging from the accident.I thought Shredder would mutate them as a punishment for failure. Its a shame Bradford could not keep up the excellent build up as a dog man of all things. Not sure about Xever but people will be looking for Chris Bradofrd after awhile. I wonder how that will play out but like it was said above they can control their mutations its just if Xever is a fish with no legs he would have to be refitted with the mechanical legs and breathing device everytime by Bradford, a foot solider, or whoever else is around.

yea i know what you mean. but i meant... i prefer their human counterparts. they seemed more of a threat. i've seen the description before and since their debut... i was dreading their mutation. seems like a waste of characters. well... this discussion seemed to have cropped up at the right timing too.

I was surprised by their mutation, and it'll be interesting to see what happens next. I like them in their human forms as they posed quite a threat to the Turtles, but now they'll pose even more of a threat to them. Can't wait to see what they do next.

And I'm another who really likes Xever.

I'm curious and excited to see their role as new mutants. I think Xever got a raw deal though. I'm sorry, as cool as the design of the figure is, he should have had legs. As much as I like the development that this might give Xever as he tries to adjust, it will make him fairly easy to defeat unless he's in a water environment.

I'm a sucker for mutation/origin stories so I loved when they got mutated, especially when Xever cried "Help us!" but I hated the execution of their mutations. I would have rather saw Bradford and Xever follow them to The Kraang only to get captured and experimented on which would have been a nice twist as they went out on their own to prove themselves to the Shredder. Also, it would have allowed Shredder to hook up with the Kraang because he would obviously be curious to how his two henchmen were mutated like Yoshi and the Turtles.

But can't wait to see where Bradford and Xever go from here.....

I would like it if they, for multitude of reasons, turned back and forth between human and mutant. I certainly wouldn't like them to stay mutants, but I guess it can't be helped. Maybe I'll change my mind when I'll actually see them in mutant action.

Also, was Xever given a last name?
