so i've been reading through a few threads with some comments that allude to cam clarke being told something about voicing or not voicing characters in the nick show. i've tried looking up articles that might have more details or maybe some interviews, but no go.
can some o'yall enlighten me as to what he was told that wasn't cool?

I recall hearing from someone on here that Rob Paulsen, after being contacted to do a character for the show, told Cam Clarke not to even bother "out of respect" because Nick wanted to go another way. I thought it was Jester who dropped that bit of insight for us, but he had n idea when asked about it. All I can specifically remember is that it was someone's facebook or email reply from Cam, not an interview.

Wires so crossed, gobo. Rob wanted to know if BARRY was involved, because he saw Donatello as BARRY's character. Rob didn't want to step on BARRY out of respect for BARRY. I've heard the whole "They told Cam not to bother" stuff, but I'm not sure who said it...or where...or how true it even is.

What I'd heard was that Nick themselves told Cam that they weren't even interested in him auditioning when he heard about it, but like others, I can't remember where I heard it or how valid it seemed.
It does seem like Cam would have known early on about auditions though. Doesn't he work on Nick shows fairly often?

o i c.
the rob not wanting to step on barry's toes thing doesn't seem too odd. i wonder if they'd all be able to do guest voices.
also, did any OT voices appear in the 2k3 series...and on that note, i wonder if any 2k3 voice actors might ever appear in the nick show.

I really like Cam, it would be nice to see him take part in the new show.

He'll probably end up in a show one way or the other. It is Cam Clarke

No. Union issues. It's why the Fred Wolf Turtles weren't voiced by the original cast in Turtles Forever. As for the 4Kids Turtles showing up in this...*shrugs* Michael Sinterniklaas seems to have done work for Nick before...so maybe.
According to Mr. Berger it didn't have to do with Union issues. It had to do with the fact that it would have cost to much to fly them out to record.

Maybe Cam and Gordon can reprise Rocksteady and Bebop.

I can't believe I'm saying this but that's gotta be the coolest idea CyberCubed has ever come up with!

Yeah let's keep living in the past! Wahoo!

And the problem with someone being happy at a role's reprisal by the original actor would be...what...exactly?
Not that I'm saying it has to be them, if Rocksteady and Bebop come in at all. New set of Turtle voices, it'd fit if these two had new voices too.

Have a link or do we just have to take your word for it? Paulsen has said in his podcast that it was a non-union production...and as such he and the other cast members couldn't do it. Also, why do they have to be in New York to record? This is the modern era. They could record in studios in LA and have it e-mailed to 4Kids in NYC.
