View Full Version : What Mutant Forms Would You Perfer Chris And Xever Become?

Some of us would rather Chris Bradford or Xever not mutate because they were great the way they are. Lets say that YOU are the script writer and have to decide what they will respectively mutate into but they must become mutants. Is there a mutant form that would be more fitting to Chris Bradford's character? What about a mutant form that would do Xever's character justice? Or fine the way suggested to you as a dog and piraniah? This is just for fun to see if anyone can think of something that might be more fitting for thier respective characterization while they were human that would make sense or better sense than what is.

I'm fine with what they mutated into.

The fish form is fine... just let him have legs. I mean, Snakeweed still had legs. And he DID have arms.... Or don't make Xever such a kick-ass fighting with his legs if his mutation is gonna take em away.

Almost every other major animal is already taken by an established character. Meanwhile there aren't any real dog mutants besides Hot Spot (who was only a toy and a dalmation at that), or a pirahna mutant.

Seriously, you know how angry people would be if he mutated into an animal that was already a different established character?

I wish they became evil mutant turtles. They'd be Slash and Tokka of the series.

Like that one guy here who flipped his lid when we heard about a cat mutant named Old Hob and not Scratch....wait.

^ At least Old Hob turned out to be very different. Imagine if Chris Bradford became a mutant frog or fly? We've be wondering why they did away with Napoleon or Baxter.

I wish they became evil mutant turtles. They'd be Slash and Tokka of the series.

What's the point of that? Slash being a human would seem wrong.

I'm fine with the forms as is but like I've said previously I just wish they had given Xever legs. It just feels so unfair plus, there doesn't seem to be a point other then the design for the figure looks cool, which it does. But who knows, maybe this could be a characteristic of Xever and he could become a tragic character, you never know....

Bradford would have been a good Wolverine or Honey Badger.

I'd just rather Xever and Bradford have been near-human mutants that could still use martial arts. I liked that the turtles fought that kind of enemy on a regular basis, aside from throwaway Foot ninjas that are just cool move fodder.

Which animal they mutate into isn't really the issue for me. It's the fact that they aren't humanoid, they're monsters, like pretty much all post-turtles mutants...

EDIT_________
To think of it, Snakeweed, Spiderbytes, Bradford, Xever... The monstrous mutants are the ones who've been exposed to the mutagen directly from the Kraang. Maybe it's coincidence, or maybe the Kraang are making more powerful (or at least different) mutagen.

Xever should have just mutated into Old Hob making a simple Dog & Cat combo which would still give him legs, plus Old Hob has that dark skin tone which suggests that it could be fitting for him. It would have created a key difference from IDW, being that Old Hob was a cat turned mutant, while Nick could have done the human turned mutant method that seems to be the theme of this series. Well there's always the crazy possibility of a re-mutation.

Maybe something that could make bradford more flexible as he is the ninja of the two and maybe a racoon for xever because it has the bandit eyes as Xever is a street punk.

bradford should have mutated into a wiry south american and xever shoulda mutated into a big white guy.

That is probably the case on Bizarro World its just the fact Nick will never show us that famed square planet of opposites.

Old Hob=Xever and a male version of Apolex for Chris Bradford. IDW meets Nick and would perhaps fit there expertises as human criminals.

A warthog and rhino would have been cool... they could have named them Bebop and Rocksteady. :P

If that was to be done I would have used the punks as we see in Turtle Tracks to become who we know them as. Having someone else become a character hurts the character that is being imitated and prevents the character from becoming his/her own. Take Rat King for an example. Agent Bishop's imperfect clone was wrapped in bandages and became the Rat King imitator not Rat King that we know. Chr'ell was his own character if allowed to be but instead was a twist of a previously established character and hurt the appreciation for what could have been a character in his own right. By taking an eztablished character and making another character an imitator of a preestablished it hurts potentially two. Make them original or bing back the previous not the other.

nice opinion. respect. but thats not how i, and probably others, see it. the 4kids show is its own entity. sure, it has a lot of references to older stuff, but you can't say that it is ONLY imitation. chr'ell IS the shredder in 2k3. agent bishop's clone IS the rat king in 2k3. as turtles forever, which is obviously canon, shows-the universes are separate. the only way you can call these pale imitations is if you believe that ONLY THE THINGS YOU LIKE is canonical.

also, concluding that a revamp of a character is only hurting it, is also your opinion. i think the idea of utrom shredder is pretty dang cool. no, he's not ot shredder, but he's not an imitation and i don't think the 2k3 version of him hurts the original version at all.

in this vein, do you think the nick shredder is just an imitation also?

xever/fishface and bradford/dogpound are cool. they obviously have different personalities than bebop and rocksteady, so why retread? anyway, b and r already cameo'd in the comic.

in conclusion, xever and bradford should have mutated into tokka and razhar.

I like Bradford's mutation, but Xever's doesn't thrill me all that much. I kinda wish they had gone with something like a racoon like someone posted earlier.

A raccoon would have been interesting, Jephael. I like that. I've always been partial to a beaver or porcupine mutant too. I don't mind Xever being turned into a fish, just give legs.

If Bebop and Rocksteady appear at all Nick will probably use their OT character designs like IDW is using.

Xever and Bradford became their own mutants to give this series a fresh take.

We may get all these and more as "mutants of the week."

I like Bradford and Xever as they are, although I kind of think Dogpound is too gigantic.

I didnt like them at first.. but they're growing on me.. I'm still not a fan of the Dogpound toy.. but my son likes it so I guess that is more important.

I think Dogpound looks badass honestly the last episode made him look pretty BAMF he did kick the Turtles shells... I like how they look wouldn't change them for anything

That brief shot of Xever in the fishpond made me think maybe his new form allows him to locate the turtles' lair.
