Looks like this should be a rather enjoyable episode. I wonder who they'll have voicing Leatherhead, and what kind of voice his VA will be using. I'd absolutely love it if they had him use a similar accent to the OT Leatherhead. Especially if they threw in the occasional "I guar-own-tee" into his lines.

Considering how little of the episode this video shows, he could very well defend himself vocally in the episode for all we know. The promo only showing clips of him being silent doesn't mean he won't speak. Can't guarantee that he will, but there's absolutely no point in getting all worked up. Let's just wait and see what happens with the actual episode...

I've loved every ep of the Nick show thus far, except maybe, "Turtle Temper," but its generally recognized as being the weakest episode of the series thus far.

Just like the turtles, Leatherhead was created by an accident but in his case he had no one to raise him as the turtles had splinter so he grew up just as an animal in the sewer... he is capable of intelligence, but he just never had the teacher... basically he is the mirror of the turtles of what they could of turned out to be like if they didn't have Splinter to guide them.

I'm actually amazed they had Leatherhead in the promo and not.... April having trouble with her exams or whatever.

No seriously, the last couple of promos had things like... jokes with the pigeon, Mikey tossing water balloons and brother VS brother... with no mention of the actual plot like Shredder, Dogpound and the Mouser. Although I do admit the brother VS brother thing was a better promo, but still... lack of Mousers. So again... I'm surprised they actually had Leatherhead in the promo and not some random joke subplot.

I honestly don't understand how some people can already be jumping to the conclusion that Leatherhead may not be very intelligent this go around. Half the time he was either roaring/fighting, or conked out. How does that equal stupid? Is it from that 1 second shot of him giving a cheesy smile? Because if a smile is all some people need to jump ahead to 'dense' then just...wow.

Anyway, I'm just happy that so far it doesn't seem like he'll be a villain. Not only do I personally love Leatherhead as an on the Turtle team, but it also seems like these guys are being totally layered on with bad guys at this point, it'd be nice for them to catch a break.

Mirage and 4kids Leatherhead became way too one-note: It was either about him constantly losing his temper/mind and attacking the Turtles, or him desperately working on a transmat to reunite with the Utroms.

Tales of the TMNT had some excellent Leatherhead stories under Tristan Jones, but the other Mirage staff didn't seem to know what to do with him.

The same happened to Archie Leatherhead too, who basically just became a generic Mutanimal as the series progressed and thus losing his personality.

Alright before I start WW III... it's not true.

When I first heard that Nickelodeon was going to be developing a new CGI series of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I'll admit I was a bit skeptical. However, I like to keep an open mind and once I saw Rise of The Turtles, I fell in love with the new incarnation immateriality.

If I complained and whined every five minutes about how Nickelodeon and Ciro Nieli is sodomizing my childhood, how this show IS NOTHING compared to the 1987 - 1996 series, or hell the 2003 series, if I kept making unnecessary threads about what if... what if Chris Bradford didn't mutate into a dog, why is a April a kid ? Why she sooooo abusive too Donnie and treat him like allege the turtles use to eat ? Why is Bebop and Rocksteady not on the show ? When is Krang going to come on ? Who would you want Baxter's therapist to be ? Will Spike end up being Slash... or Venus ? Will Sean Schemmel voice Fugitoid ? Will Casey blink every time he farts ?

If I nitpicked every little fart about this show, I wouldn't enjoy it. I understand this is the section that talks about the show and I understand that fans want to speculate, assume and question, but I have to agree with most of the majority...

this is a new show, a news incarnation of the The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If Nick and Ciro or whomever wanted to reboot the 1987 series they would have done that, but why ? Why not start fresh and give a new generation of fans to experience the Turtles and why not have old school fans enjoy it to ? Make references and homages up the wazoo, but lets do something original. Why not change the characters around ? Sure Leathehead is an alligator, but you really care if he talks in sophisticated tone or not ? So Michangelo doesn't sound like surfer or constipated stoner, does that mean we have stop watching the show and pelt Greg Cipes with hateful comments ? So Donnie has a crush on April... let's roll with the beastality jokes. The Turtles have no toes... that's it... I'm writing a very angry letter to the cast and crew and denounce myself as a fan...

Yep... the show's a rip off of Teen Titans and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Mae Whitman's April is Katara with red hair...

I'm not targeting or trolling on anyone in particular, but change is not always a bad thing. While I love how the turtle's origins are always kept the same, I least want something new in their adventures or least give the characters a new personality trait that I can fondly remember.

There's nothing you can do. Sure you can voice your opinion, hey, I'm all down for freedom of speech, but seriously, no offensive a lot of you people need step out of 1987 and welcome yourself to 2012.

I'm sick and tired of the bashing of this show when no one can give a solid reason as to why they hate something and the nitpicking is really retarded.

I welcome myself to every new episode and personally I think this incarnation is beautifully well done, the writing is fantastic, the character's design is very good, the voicing acting is phenomenal, because each and everyone gives the characters actual personalities and brings them to life, adding emotions etc.

As for the ratings, who cares ? Season two is being worked on as we speak, with season three I'm sure just around the corner, the toys are selling faster then hot cakes, parents, mothers, toy collectors are gnawing at those pegs filled with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys like a grizzly bear gnawing at a guy's balls covered in honey.


Just roll with the punches. Go with the flow, watch the show, take it for what it's worth and accept it. If you don't like it because a character is not going to talk and haven't even watched the episode or because you want to abuse the creator's nods and Easter Eggs by not watching it, then seriously I feel sorry for you and you really don't know what good show really is.

Quite frankly I think it would be cool if they mutated April's father (Kirby) and no one had any idea it was him.

We're 11 episodes in and I think it's pretty safe to say that the writers know what they are doing since this show has yet to air an actual bad episode. Seems like they're going with the, "misunderstood good guy" routine with Leatherhead.

Eh, I wish we could get a villain Leatherhead again. We haven't seen him as a villain since the original cartoon.

I'm surprised that this particular Leatherhead, appears to have his heart in the right place. And I see that I'm not alone! Nonetheless, this is not the Leatherhead I know at all (the OT one), so it's all fair to me. Bring it on, I say. I do like that his origins appear to be tied to Krang (well, the Kraang) again. Good stuff.

Leatherhead has potential in this show. Can't imagine the controversy next week as Rat King has been redesigned to look like an undead priest.

To be honest, I'm not too keen on the design myself, but can be won over with decent writing and voice acting.
