For me I like the new Nick version the best. I just wish we could see what their bedrooms look like.

It seems almost a given that the Ninja Turtles are forced to move so its nice to see the consistancy of the '87 catoon lair and its carrying over into Archie. That was my perferred lair until only a few months ago when the turtles moved into the fallout shelter under the abadon church. I really want to know more of the blueprints of the lair, but as a history scholar I love the concept of it! Genius idea! Hope its near the Worlds Fair grounds.:twink:

I had to vote the classic toon lair. It's like such a big part of the franchise's history!

The one from the first movie.

Turtle Farm in Northampton Massachusetts where Casey Jones grandmother lived. Sure most of the cool action needs to take place in New York City, but I like the rural environment. New England looks so cool with forests, lakes and mountains. It's so more realistic to have them hang out their, meditating, pracitcing and relax, than hangout out in the stinky sewers all time. I wish every TMNT universe had the Turtle Farm.
If I'm right, they don't live much in sewers at all in Mirage, just the first issues?

Besides 2K3, I also liked Nexr Mutation's setup.

Even the abandoned subway station from the second and third movies make more sense than a smelly sewer.

I've always had a bit of an affinity for the abandoned subway lair of TMNT Parts 2 & 3 and NT:TNM.
Barring that, probably the mausoleum lair in Westwood Cemetery in Volume 3 of the comics.

Also, it seems that in the 1987 show, the TMNT change lair between season 1 and 2 (probably since Baxter Stockman's mouser's thrashed it).

I have the same problem with the Nick lair as I do with the 4Kids lairs and the fourth movie lair -- wayyy too overdesigned.

I liked the original cartoon lair because it was so nice and cozy that it didn't even seem like they were living in a sewer, but a below-ground penthouse or something.
Since its the only lair that wasn't destroyed like all the others, they were there for a long time and the layout was consistent throughout Seasons 3-10.

I'm very fond of the first TMNT live action film lair too. The subway station in the second movie was alright I guess. it seems to be a big inspiration on the Nick Lair's design.

While we haven't seen much, I really like Kevin's layout for the new IDW lair, and the idea of the turtles living under an abandoned church.
I also second the mausoleum lair in the Image comics as my next favorite.
I personally like the set-up of the 2003 lair. Mostly because of being able to view at points - each turtles' rooms and Master Splinter's. It would be nice though that one day we'll be able to see more of the 2012 lair in more detail. I wouldn't mind seeing if they guys have their own rooms.

The 1987 Lair was quite advanced for its time in terms of design, even having its own blueprint created for the show. It may not be quite as expansive as the 2k3 and Nick Lairs (seems to big to be realistic), but it was very secure and remains the first Lair that comes to mind when I think of the franchise. But I also like the first two movies for being realistic.`

You mean in a sewer below the church? Or in the church basement.
You know, I don't think I can pick a favorite. I love them all, the OT has the classic feel but the new Nick cartoon has more space and gadgets. The second movie was fun too!

For me, it's a toss up between the 2003 Lair and the Nick Lair. I really hope we see more of the Nick Lair than just the living area, the kitchen, and the dojo. I really want to see the Turtles' rooms.

I really liked the lair in the 2nd movie..the subway station had charme. I think we got a good thing coming with the new IDW lair. I hope we get to see more details. I really like Kevin's idea on this one.

2k3 for me, I just liked the whole idea of the ancient tech/crystals being a part of it and giving the lair a tale of it's own. I grant you that it's probably overdone but I always thought the large pool was a nice touch. The OT lair will always be what I think of first but it's not my favourite in terms of design.

Had to say the 2003 even though I grew up on the original.

I really like the new lair with the huge tree, arcade and what not...I know it's probably not as believable as the others but I like for them to have a cool place to live.

I have to say the IDW lair, so awesome living under an abanden church in a nuclear fall out shelter. What really does if for me is the underground access to the sewers.
Unlike most people I dont like the abanden subway station in the movies.
I like the the OT lair and the 2k3 lair, but I love the new IDW lair.

I voted the '87 lair, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite. The '87 lair is classic though, I like the design and the fact that it's somewhat hidden (despite having it raided by enemies every now and then). The '03 lair is way too overdesigned and hi-tech, it doesn't mirror the turtles ninja "lifestyle" and feels just unrealistic. The Nick lair is okay, but nothing special. To me its feels the producers havn't given it much thought.
I'd actually like to give a shout for the '07 movie lair. I like the design of it, it feels a bit like a crossover between all the other lairs. Dark and sewery yet modern and homelike, not too unrealistic and seems well hidden as well. I also like the subway station from TMNT2, it feels like the perfect home for the turtles. The lair from the first movie is great as well.

I cant not understand why some people think a sewer would be "a cool place to live" lol
What about the smell? and well the you know what.
LOL anyway....
I actually like the new Nick version best, but I did like the table cloth from the 80s show.:tlol:

OT lair for the nostalgia. I dunno, I really like how home-y it is and not "super hero base".

That's nice. The same with the Turtle Farm, and the former subway station.
However, I would rather live on an abandoned farm or former subway station than a sewer!

The Turtles have never lived in a waste sewer... the live in a drainage sewer. No poop or pee.

I still have to watch more of the Nick cartoon to get a better look at that lair. I like the penthouse they stayed at in Fast Forward better than any lair but other than that, I like the 1987 lair the best.

'87 lair.
One that was always amusing to me is that Shredder isn't supposed to know where the lair is, and yet he has sent his minions down there, he travels there several times and even has cameras installed where he can view the lair from the Technodrome (in the first episode). I know Shredder is supposed to be sort of an idiot though, so we can ignore this. :)

I'm pretty sure the turtles moved into another lair after season 1 (since it doesn't look that way from season 2).
Finding the subway lair was perhaps my favourite bit of the whole second movie. So that one.
And tied for second the first movie lair and the very first lair of 2k3 as they seem a little more realistic.
If I had to choose between a pool and a tree in the middle of the joint, I think the pool would win.

For me it's a tie between the '87 cartoons lair and the IDW lair. I just love the designs on those so much.
