Okay, a friend of mine asked me if I could host a "ninja themed" birthday part for 5-year-olds next weekend. They want me to play "sensei" for the kids since I did Aikido about a decade ago.
Any ideas on how to make this fun for the kids?

You can probably find ideas online and of course a lot depends of the age of the kids, but for example you could play things like shuriken throw with some balloons or cans as target, show them ninja moves, help them make their own bandannas, ninja hide and seek, play with foam katanas etc...

I like the idea of paper throwing stars. Now I just need to learn how to fold them up. I found some online directions but they totally lost me around step 9 or something like that!

Decorate with turtle items and serve pizza and any green drinks.
play pin the mask on the turtle (pin the tail on the donkey)
musical pizza box, instead of chairs, get empty pizza boxes and have them sit down on the boxes. Play one of the Theme songs for the game.
The shredder/Turtle Pinata and have Donatellos Bo staff to hit it with.
Have them make or just play with Ooze. There's plenty of recipes to make it online and supply containers so each kid can bring theirs home.
Make or have Turtle masks for each kid.
Get personal pan pizza boxes for a loot bag to take home treats at the end.
Look online, there's plenty more ideas for games and activities.

is it "ninja turtle" or just "ninja"?
a pinata would be cool. you could make the stick look like a katana and say the blindfold is to help practice their ninja reflexes without being able to see.
you could have a design your own clan logo thing goin on. arts and crafts style.
dunno how you'd feel bout the hygenic aspect, but bobbing for dragon eggs or somethin...you know, instead of apples.
maybe a round of musical chairs to kung-fu fighting.
sounds like it'll be fun for the kids. :D good luck!

Generic "ninja," not "ninja turtles."
Thanks for the advice thus far, folks!
