Not currently any Doc's other then the one being made by Canadian Turtle which isnt done yet. I will mention there is a VHS tape called Behind the Shells about the making of Secret of the Ooze and its kind of a Documentary you can find it on Ebay or Amazon. :-)

I can't wait to see that when it's finished. There's that and a fan documentary for Ghostbusters that I've been dying to see for a few years now.

Behind the Shells is the only documentary that's available for the movies. It's only like 30 minutes, and is more or less just a promotional featurette for Secret of the Ooze, but it does have some interesting behind the scenes footage, showing the work done by the Jim Henson Creature Shop.

Yeah I've seen behind the shells before I had a feeling somebody might answer that, I would really like to see a professional documentary about the legend and history and rise of the TMNT and all there fame and success to this day I think it would be amazing if done right. :tcry: I doubt it will ever be made though.

There's also a VHS for the Behind the Shells tour (even has the origin of the term "Cowabunga Corner" in it as well!)

Well... I hope I can make your wish come true right this moment! What you just described is EXACTLY what we are doing. The documentary is pretty much exclusively the history of the rise and success of the TMNT. Comics, toys, cartoon(s), movies, behind the scenes, of all, success and outcome of each, where it almost didn't happen around every corner, and the fans that love it. It is SO huge that it will likely have special editions with hours and hours of cut sections, scenes, and bonus materials. And when you say "you doubt it will ever be made"... well it is already made, the film is shot, the editing is almost done, the support is behind it, and it will likely be available later this year or very early next.

THANKS! I HOPE THIS IS EXCITING NEWS!

Thanks guys! As I don't generally post about the doc outside the dedicated thread in the General section I'll take this moment to pass on the FB link where if you hit like, you can get all the updates as they come out.

If we're talking about the guy in the preview image...that is Jim Henson's son Brian.
The British guy is director Steve Barron.

It's always amazing to find out how any things Jim Henson's creature shop actually worked on some things you would never think of.

Ya, on these raw footage podcasts we don't have the titles laid in to tell who the people are yet. We also polish the colour and look for the final film, as well as add in a lot more b-roll cuts of behind the scenes footage and pictures showing what the people are talking about. That is why it is key to read the descriptions if you are ever not recognizing someone in thevideo. Brian was also the second unit director for the first film.
