The "Krang we know and love" was voiced by Pat Fraley and starred in almost every episode of the original series. Wanna see him? It's on DVD.

This is a new show with new takes on old characters. It's sad that you loons need this spelled out for you.

She was in Disney's Home on the Range. The supposed 'last' handrawn film Disney would do at the time it was released.

All joking aside I actually really liked her show Roseanne as a kid.. They always had really cool Halloween episodes..

She wouldn't have been the first person I thought of for a hive brain master kraang but at this point I have learned to be open minded until I see it in action.

yup.. She only really has one character.. Seems to me that character is just her.. Its going to be interesting to see if she does something different for kraang.. Its also going to be interesting to see how different her character is compared to the "drone" and "warrior" kraang we have already seen..

Not sure if I am the only one however, I think this is a bad a idea for casting her.. still bitter about what she did during the singing of the national anthem...Very disrespectful moment.. Still going to watch the show just hope she is a one and done character

As I recall, she actually sung it with effort behind it. She wasn't making fun of the National Anthem... she just happened to really suck at singing.

I don't know that Kraang's gender was ever confirmed one way or the other in the old cartoon, and given that he was a member of an alien race, he wouldn't necessarily need to be male OR female. I remember Pat Fraley saying in an interview that he modeled the voice for Krang after now late actress Katherine Hepburn. I'm sure using Roseanne Barr will be expensive, but hey, it isn't my money they're spending :tlol:

Uh, yes it was. Krang was referred to as, "he" or "him" many times in the original toon.

There never should have been a doubt in anyones mind that Krang was male.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this "Kraang Prime" character is handled. It'll be interesting to see how they choose to make this "queen bee" look unique compared to the hive-minded Kraang.

Also, while it's Roseanne voicing the character, and while it's most likely that this Kraang Prime character is female, I wouldn't assume so just yet. Wouldn't be the first time that a female voice actress voiced a male character. We'll just have to wait and see. Either way, I'm sure this is supposed to be this show's Krang.

I'm actually really pumped for this episode. I grew up with Roseanne (and I too remember those awesome Halloween themed episodes). I have a lot faith in her, and know she will do awesome job.

Someone asked what voice over work she did. While she doesn't have an extensive voice over resume, she voiced herself in animated special (more of a knock off of Who Framed Roger Rabbit really with guest appearances of The Care Bears, Beetlejuice, Tom and Jerry and Archie's Betty and Veronica) along side her then husband Tom Arnold in The Rosey & Buddy Show (not to be confused with the show Little Rosey which was an animated series portraying her as a child voiced by Kathleen Laskey), she also was on Futurama as a hologram of herself in the episode Three Hundred Big Boys and did the voice of Maggie in the 2004 Disney film Home on the Range.

I like Roseanne Barr so I support this full heartedly.

I don't know if anyone else is picking this up, aside from the horror theme... I really love the 80's theme going on with the new show, as far as guest stars are concerned...

I wasn't sure. When Rob Paulsen had Ciro Nieli on Talkin Toons, Nieli mentioned that Cassandra Peterson was going to be on the show, and I could have sworn he said she was going to voice a female Kraang. But I probably heard it wrong. It's confirmed now that she will be playing a scientist obsessed with April.

My theory: There's male Kraang's (the dummies voiced by Nolan North) who do most of the grunt work, Kraang Prime, the leader (Roseanne), and also female Kraang's who are more intelligent than their counterparts, and the scientist at the WWGP (Peterson), is going to turn out to be one of them.

Not all that surprised to see Roseanne involved, her and Cipes seem to be very close.

I'm excited to hear what she can do, I've been a fan of hers for a while now. Here's to hoping her involvement is insurance against sexist female trappings appearing on the character she's playing. I can't imagine Roseanne abiding by that crap.

I've also got my fingers crossed that her addition to the cast will help get the show a passing mark on Bechdel Test.

maybe when roseanne became available, they did some switching up of roles. roseanne has more "star power" than cassandra petersen, and honestly, better fits the role vocally. then, maybe they gave ms. petersen another role to keep her on the show.

While we haven't seen a picture of what Kraang Prime looks like nor a female Kraang, I had an image in my head of what a female Kraang looks like. I finally was able to locate a picture that is some what faithfully to my idea. Grant it they look like assassins (minus the sunglasses and swords) but this is my general idea of what they would like. It's from a video game I know, but I can't think of the name of the game).

For some reason, I doubt Kraang Prime will have a human disguise. My guess is she will be somewhere on her base in Dimension X and the Kraang report their progress to her. Maybe they found another way to contact their dimension, unless they say she was on Earth the whole time.
