In any of the episodes did any one of the turtles ever use one of the other turtles weapons?
coolmike1586
05-09-2002, 07:53 PM
yes! in TMNT 3 Mike used swords! remember this quote
"wait wait im really a beautiful princess in disquise!....OH SWORDS!....break the spell, gimmie a kiss HA HA HA"!
azure turtle

Hmm...I think they have basic knowledge to use each others weapons, but they've decided to specialize in their own weapons. I don't know if this was ever addressed in the comics or any of the other universes...
I really can't remember if they ever traded weapons in the cartoon.

Well,
~Yeah, i know, i said i was gonna be gone...~
in the eps "The shredder gets Splintered' Raph uses mike's grappling hook to get into the technodrome.
The reason i know that is because i watched it about ten times last night...

What's so good about "Shredder is Splintered"? Ah, well, I see... That's one of the few eps where we see Shredder unmasked!
Deskjet Shredder
05-10-2002, 04:36 AM
BTW, Shredder took off his mask in "Turtles Tracks", "Shredder is Splintered", "Cowabunga ShredHead", "Invasion of the Punk Frogs"... And every time his face was different :!:

Maybe Shredder is addicted to plastic surgery!
azure turtle
05-11-2002, 12:22 AM
He'd definitely need it after Splinter scratched his face up...wait a minute, that happened in the movie. Nevermind. It's too late in the evening for me. *sigh*
Deskjet Shredder
05-11-2002, 10:02 AM
Plastic surgery is a good idea  but if he used it why didn't he make his face more handsome? As I remember, he looked less and less attractive every episode.
azure turtle

LOL! Goodness, Deskjet, I thought you were a Shredder fan?
Deskjet Shredder
05-12-2002, 05:11 AM
Yes, I am. IMHO, Shredder is the only human in the cartoon who is worth being liked (please note that I didn't say "loved"). Or maybe you think that Vernon Fanwick or Burn Thompson are better?
azure turtle
05-12-2002, 11:26 AM
Hey now, you gotta admit that Vernon brought some comedy relief into the show.
Deskjet Shredder
05-12-2002, 12:09 PM
Yes he did. As well as Irma - what was her last name?
Deskjet Shredder
05-12-2002, 12:11 PM
But would you fall in love (or just simply like) such a funny character?
azure turtle
05-12-2002, 12:47 PM
I don't remember Irma's last name...
As for Vernon, I like his character because he was funny. I've always liked funny characters because they help to lighten up the mood a bit. I think that's why I liked the 'toon Raph a lot, too.

I don't care what Shredder's face looked like, I thought he was sexy! Guess I have a thing for men in masks and capes...

Deskjet Shredder
05-14-2002, 12:39 PM
That's it, SC! Positive characters are.. how to say... too positive  I always sympathize with the negative ones. Unfortunately in movies they are usually killed. But in the cartoons they will constantly do the dirty on good guys! I like it!

Of course, in the cartoons they're always getting their plans foiled...but still...they get to destroy stuff and have lots of cool "toys"!
BTW, just for the record, I do NOT think Rocksteady and Bebop are sexy...so don't anyone even start. Its just certain villains.

You're such a gentleman, Azure. You're kyoot! So do you ever trade weapons, or are you still pre-weapon?
azure turtle
05-14-2002, 07:43 PM
Why thank you! :goofygri: My weapons? Hmm...d'you mean in my fanfic? If that's what you mean, then it'll be a little while before I get any weapons. And when I do, I think you'll be slightly surprised with my weapon(s) of choice. Or maybe not. :anime:
Skeletoncrew
05-14-2002, 08:13 PM
Hmmm...Azure's weapon of choice...A wet noodle? A whoopee cushion? No wait, a rubber chicken!
Just kidding, I have no idea. I'm not terribly familiar with eastern weaponry.

HorseTechie

Oh yeah.. did I ever eat! The good thing, since Korean food is so healthy, I hardly gained any weight. Lots of rice and veggies, and kimchees, and noodle soups, and BBQed meats and raw fish, for example.
As far as pics go. I'm still working on them. I haven't counted them all yet, but I guess I have 80 so far. My hubby still has the digital camera with a third memory card in it yet to go.

05-16-2002, 09:18 AM
Heh... I guess it's the annoying goofiness of Jar-Jar that did it for many fans. They liked thinking of Star Wars as being ominous and dark. Then Phantom Menace cameout, and it felt more like a kid's show or something. *shrug*
See have yet to see the new movie. *sai*
You haven't seen the new movie yet, HT! For shame! J/K I can't talk, I've never even seen the original trilogy.

*gasp* You haven't seen the original trilogy! Girl, we're gonna have to invite you over for a big Star Wars marathon. ;p
LOL! Funny thing is, the guys in my family, my dad and brothers, recently had a marathon like that. We have all three movies on tape. It just doesn't appeal to me, I could never get into it.

Aww... I heard some guy on TV mention how more women should like Star Wars, Kali. It's basically like a sci-fi soap opera!
*hehee* Yep, I may be a big fan of Star Wars, LotR, and TMNT... but I never waited in line for a movie like that. Seems kind of silly, especially when you can buy the tickets online too. :goof:
Speaking of which, you guys have to see this weeks FoxTrot strips too.
http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/cx/uc/ft
Eh, I'm not a huge fan of soap operas to begin with.
Yep, I've been reading those strips all week.

LOL! Ah, Foxtrot...a classic comic strip. That was funny! TMNT soap operas? Eh, no thanks...I don't like soap operas very much...they drive me crazy.
I like adding soap opera-ish drama into a story or RP every now and then, but Machias usually starts it, and drags us along. Not that it's not fun. :embarass:

the only real weapon switches I know of is in Enter: The Shredder Leonardo practices with Michelangelo with a weapon kinda like Donatello's bo and also in Season 4 and up Michelangelo drops his nunchukas all together and starts using the grappling hook instead.

I was gonna say about the weapons trading thing, I remember in the episode "Splinter Vanishes" Leo cut down the other 3 turtles with sais I think. They looked wooden too, cuz they were colored brown *shrugs* I also remember somewhere seeing Leo use ninja stars too, in the cartoon.

Lisardo
05-22-2002, 06:47 PM
Yeah I forgot about Dark Don, yeah he definately used different weapons. *wonders if they were ripping off of Batman: The Animated Series since that episode came out in like 1993 when B:TAS had already started*
LOL HT! But yeah I havta agree with you, I didn't notice a small waist. I did however notice bigger or more accentuated muscles, along with ummm.......something else that looked bigger or more accentuated. *hides*

No.. that's a Limp Biskit joke my radio station has. They noticed whenever the lead singer of Limp Biskit, Fred Durst, would get piffed about something, he also would cancel a concert scheduled somewhere. So then the DJs would joke about that whenever someone else in the entertainment business would get POed.
The weird thing is.. I think I heard one of Vanilla Ice's new songs on the radio yesterday. It was *weird* sounding...

GRRRR! Down with Vanella Ice!!
Wait, hold on here. Why can't we all just get along here? Because Vanella Ice is evil and was plain old annoying in TMNT 2. For that he must pay! *evil laugh*
*blinks* Why? Where's the love?
