View Full Version : Dimension X possibilities

On one of the older Kraang bio's they confirmed they're from Dimension X, as well as at comic con, although this hasn't been mentioned in the show yet.

What do you think Dimension X will be like in this show? So far there's no mention of Neutrinos, Fugitoid, Triceratons or any of those alien characters, so we're likely not seeing them in Season 1 at least.

There's also the case of General Traag who is supposed to be in this season sometime, but since he's been reimagined as a 17 foot tall character who spits out lava....they're obviously not facing something like that in the middle of NYC.

Do you think they'll have their first adventure in space by the end of the season? Will we be seeing Neutrinos? Or Fugitoid or Triceratons? Or more of the Rock Soldiers?

General Traag might be Kraang Prime's bodyguard, and they might fight him at the Kraang base, not neccesarily on the streets of New York. Even if they did... those streets are pretty damn empty anyways lol.

Before we got confirmation that there was going to be a Kraang Prime, I was speculating that General Traag was going to be like the leader of the Kraang this time around, like sort of a role reversal. As far as the Neutrinos are concerned, I can take em or leave em. They don't have to show up, but if they do that's great!

I originally had no interest in seeing the Neutrinos again, but after IDW revamped them I'd love to see Nick's take on them again. Also the neutrinos primarily exist to show who Krang and the Rock Soldiers were fighting, so if there is a stone warrior army they'd probably be shown fighting someone in Dimension x.

Wouldn't it be funny if Ciro and his team basically did the same thing with Fugitoid that IDW is doing?

Anyone think we could see S1 ending in a similar fashion to S1 of the 2003 series where the Turtles are transported away....this time to Dimension X.

It's quite possible. I can see Season 2 starting with a "Turtles in space" type of arc.

Triceratrons

Utroms

Neutrinos

Fugitoid

Wingnut and Screwloose

The Triceratons were confirmed they had a little video that was a dtoyboard we saw way back.

I can definitely see them ending with a cliffhanger and starting S2 with the Turtles in space.....unless they really want to introduce Casey Jones in the season premiere.

I wouldn't mind a trip to Dimension X if it were quick. Like the first trip in Mirage, in - all kinds of craziness ensues - then out. Maybe a two-parter that brings them right back.

Yeah, I don't want them to spend a lot of time in space. I wasn't fond of that arc in the 2K3 series. Maybe a two-parter if they want, but nothing more than that. Still, if they did go to Dimension X, that would be interesting.

Mirage and 4kids "in space" stories definitely went on a little too long, but I'd love to see this show's take on Dimension X. I think it'd look really cool in this style of CGI.

Kinda don't wanna see that. Why does everyone want to see the exact same story re-told over and over again? If you like the story, then go watch/read that version.

So far we seen an episode about Raph and his temper WITHOUT it being about Raph running into Casey again

We saw the Turtles face the Shredder, but we had The Kraang and Chris and Xever in the same episode.

We saw completely different interpretations of Metalhead and the Rat King.

We obviously know they're not gonna go with the 'City at War' story when they introduce Karai.

So why the hell do you guys want it end exactly the same way the first season of 2K3 did? Let's keep everything fresh and new. Let's NOT see the same stuff we've seen before in some other version.

They're going to go into space eventually, so it's not something out of the question. What they'll do there is anyone's guess.

The TMNT visit Dimension X several times during season 4 in the 1987 show (usually just the Technodrome). It's not a big deal. The same with Archie.

They could always have the Technodrome and/or the Dimensional Portal. Would love to see it in CGI after NTV1978's Youtube video. But in addition to the characters as mentioned above, I'd love to see Antrax, Cherubae, Skaarg, Dementor, and Slash. The Stump Asteroid could be a good location for the Technodrome if used (Season 4 of the OT reference) and they could have Stump and Sling. There are just so many Dimension X characters/locations from Archie that could use an animated version. But have no more than three episodes away from earth, as five from 4kids was too much.

Coola Yagami
01-27-2013, 05:02 PM
Or they could stick to the format they used so far and make their little space adventure just one episode. The show so far hasn't had any 2-parters, and even in the 80's cartoon they would go to Dimension X and come back the same episode. if they do it that way, it's ok... but I don't want a 2-3 parter in space.

CyberCubed
01-27-2013, 05:22 PM
Depends if they do what IDW is doing. They combined the Mirage version of the story with the OT's Krang/Neutrino story.

It really surprises me that we have a comic following both the mirage and OT so closely while Nick is doing everything different. As much as I like IDW it really is just a remixed version of old stories.=

Unless you're watching a different show than I am, there are already a number of OT aspects in this series.

And there's no reason why we shouldn't see more old characters return, just like they're taking characters from Mirage they can take characters from anywhere.

PL is gone, just because he brainwashed people all throughout the 4kids era that the OT characters were "silly" doesn't mean we have to listen to him.

Well... yeah... no 2-parter besides Rise of the Turtles... I forgot about that one. But I don't know. Having a 2-parter end the season would be cool since they used a 2-parter to start it, but Alien Agenda already sounds like a normal episode.

I kinda hope they keep things different and don't re-do stuff we already seen. It kinda seems everyone suddenly jumped on Cybercubed's bandwagon on this one and wants to see another 'Turtles in space' plot which we already seen in Mirage, 2K3 and IDW. I say naw. Keep it going like how they're doing it now and keep it fresh and new.

Not really. Nick has done awesome and completely off the wall different and surprising things lately. If anyone can somehow bring in the Fugitoid or the Triceratons into the cartoon without repeating the 'turtles in space' arc, it's Nick.

Honestly, who's to say Fugitoid can't be some Earth scientist stuck in a robot body running from the Foot cause he knows something the Shredder wants? Who's to say the Triceraton is a hired space thug working for The Kraang? Hell the playmates figure made it sounds like it was just one guy, not an entire race (I didn't know about Mirage at the time).

I don't know. It's all in the air. I never expected Leo to be a fan of Star Trek, April to be a teenager, Karai to be a teenager, Rat King to be a mad scientist being burned alive, Splinter having a daughter, Raph's anger episode to be about some fat guy that took a pic of them with his iphone instead of him running into Casey, and a long list of etcs.

It's all in the air the way Nick is doing things and so far they haven't disappointed.

I also expect them to time travel as well, its just things from TMNT lore you expect to see.

True. The Leatherhead episode opened the door. Sooner or later the TMNT are gonna have to go to Dimension X and put the kabosh on the whole Kraang thing. However, I still expect to be totally surprised with a whole new way to do this without cut-and-pasting what was already done in Mirage, 2K3 and IDW.

Are you confusing the Stump Asteroid (Archie) with the Volcanic Asteroid (season 4)? Or do you want the Stump Arena on one side of the Stump Asteroid, and the Technodrome on the other? (which would sound cool).

After watching "I, Monster", I'm still impressed by the 2012 show, and what makes TMNT so great nowadays is how they bring elements from different TMNT universes to create a new one. There was a time, when the 2003 show came out, when almost everything related to the 1987/Archie/second and third movie/Next Mutation was cool to bash and consider bad, just because it was those versions and not hyper violent.

Would love to see more Archie locations, they were pretty good at exploring Dimension X (Eden Worlds, Hirobyl, Morbus and the Stump's Asteroid).

Well now that the new episode aired, "Dimension X" was name dropped for the first time. Since Traag and Leatherhead got sent back I get the feeling the Turtles will want to go and rescue Leatherhead at some point and get zapped over there and lost.

I kind of wish the turtles had been sent to dimension X after they hooked the power cell to LH's traincart at the end of the 'It came from the depths' ep. mabey dx is a planet that is aeons old and it's lava through a complex radiation process turned to mutagen. which the kraang want as a war weapon. But have taken to much and the dimenson x is about to implode on it's self with no core. the kraang then attacked the neutrinos for the teleporter device and stole it from Fugtiod when he was human. Then they started moving to earth because it's a new more stable planet, and the Kraang that we see a gentically modified Kraang charged with the task of making earth habitable for the Kraang. Oh, and they drilled a whole in they earth to make the lava able to be tampered with till it became muatagen. Ok that summed up the Kraang invasion.
