Well on a WWW yes, but in IRC there are a lot of comic book channels. Might be illegal to tough, but If I ever miss an issue of Ultimate Spider-man for example, I will download the scan and delete it after I get a back issue.

You could probably Zip them in to files, and e-Mail them to people when they want them though... Maybe people could PM you if they want one?

Thats how they are shared in IRC. Zipped JPG images.

heyh, that's a good idea.
i need to get a scanner first as my one is busted.
Do you want me to put up a list of what comics I have?

Well this board isn't really the place to talk about this, since it might be illegal.

Yeah just kind of leave it to people PMIng you if they want, that's the best way to do it. (Like how I asked Karpo to PM me about the other comics, it's the best way to do it, so Krang and Shredder don't get in to trouble)

I like the short answer, becuase there are ways to make it legal.
Like getting permission, or degrading the quality of the images and removing people's ability to print/save the images.

He's not the same Mondo you're thinking of. The other Mondo has the AIM screen name Mondo Gecko Esquire and his avatar is an image I scanned from #18 of the Archie TMNT series.

If it is ok, how come there is some online at the official TMNT site? You mean like you cant put up comics you didnt make? I know a few other sites that have comic scans online, but i dont wanna give them out or they could get closed down :(

Hrmm.. well the ones at the offical Mirage site are their comics, that's why it's cool. However, since the Archie comics, or the Dream Wave comics are not owned by Mirage, they can't post those scans.
As far as the other sites go... 'that one Tranformer site' had been through some hot water, but some things were cleared I guess and they proceeded. Anyone else out there... they are just damn lucky at keeping it hidden.
But overall, it's highly discouraged to post unauthorized comic scans in its entirety on the internet. One can get into a great amount of hot water if you do.

Hmmm, I didn't know it was illegal. At milehighcomics they always have the cover scan and then like the first 3 or so pages.

Well that's a different story, they are advetrising the book to sell it, not to give it away on the internet for free. Plus they probably have permission to do that
Edit:
HT, I remember that Transformers site you are talking about, whatever happened with that?

Who would sit down, and read a comic book online? That's......just.......disturbing.......
SavantiRomero

Why do you find it disturbing?
There are ONLINE text books, Online Novels, Online Comics, Online libraries, Online comic strips, etc etc etc.
What should be more disturbing is the average time spent online by most people with an internet connection.

I have to agree with Tokka. I will never stand to read an e-book or anything just mentioned on a computer. Give me old fashioned paper any day.

I didn't dig deep to read up on what happened (I think they have it buried in the forums somewhere there)... but most of the hotwater was from them selling bootlegs of episodes. And then not giving the customers their purchased goods.
I guess it simmered down before the irate customers urged Hasbro to get all over everything. Whatever happened, Siebertron still stands, and the comic scans and images are still there.
But.. I will agree, I have a hard time sitting downt o rtead those comic scans. Tos a bother wating for the download of each page too.
The only comics online I really like are the Flashed out, hi-res, multimedia formats that Marvel has on their site. Usually it's not the whole comic they have up either. Just the first part to pose as a teaser to make you wanna go out and get the comic. 8)

I just can't imagine the graphics and art being good on computer resolution. I also don't do that because it hurts my eyes staring at screens for long periods of time when there is no movement, my vision gets blurred after a while. To tell you the truth it isn't really that healthy physically, although on the other hand you are saving trees...hmmm

If it's hurting your eyes, your Refresh rate is too low, your resolution is too high, and your monitor is probably old.
You may also be too close to the monitor. Don't forget to blink :) You'd be surprised how many people stare at their monitors.
Turning on a nearby light source helps also, dark rooms = bad eyes.
You'd definetly be surprised with what can be put online with excellant quality :)
Might also check to see the DPI of your monitor also :)
