The turtles were on Oprah? What for, Michelangelo's drug addiction?
No. It was about April's affair with Mikey though, IIRC.

You're thinking of their appearance on Maury. They were on Oprah because Vernon was a sex addict. Or was that an episode of Jerry Springer?

All that's available are the last 10 minutes of the show with rather poor sound quality. I wish I could see the whole show someday from the Harpo vault, since reportadly Shredder also made an appearance.

Those are some sweet sneakers those Turtles are wearing. On their tiny, tiny feet.

i remember this actually and man shredder looked like a damn joke, it looked like literally a guy in a crappy made costume, i think he came out [shredder] and was actually in total character to the point where before he left raised his hand and screamed i'll get u next time! type of deal lmao i mean even oprah played a part of this and gasped when shredder came out, the entire crowd i think was filled with moms and kids actually, not the usual depressed unemployed women that oprah usually brainwashes..

All I remember was the famous Barbara Walters interview where the Donatello costume began to malfunction and he started crying uncontrollably. That was hilarious.

Don't tell me you've never heard of the infamous singing tour!

Those are the Coming out of their Shells Tour costumes.
When was this, 1994?
1990. I remember the Coming Out Of Their Shells promo at Pizza Hut happening shortly after the first movie was released.
No. It was about April's affair with Mikey though, IIRC.
Just to let you guys know I wasn't making it up...
The black dude behind Oprah was looking pretty uncomfortable when Mike was talking about how April being a Turtle would work out great sexually and Raph saying he'd been trying to talk her into an inter-species relationship, holy crap! XD

It's too bad they didn't go right back into their shells. Apparently within every ninja warrior is a sparkly rock-star waiting to dance...
I willfully repressed this chapter in the Turtle legacy. Looking at it now it's even worse than I remembered.

i remember the Turtles being on either Today or Good Morning America back in the day.
In that other thread I quoted, Guitar Raph said the music Turtles were also on Larry King and Roseangelo said she thinks she has a Regis & Kathie Lee segment on VHS.

I vaguely remember seeing the Turtles on Oprah, and everyone booing Shredder when he made an appearance.
I forgot it was the Coming out of Their Shells tour versions. April looks very 80's with the giant hair. :)
