So we've been told. I'm pretty sure that was reported from the "Mutation in Progress" thing was back in 2011. Things definitely could have changed.

*FYI, That's the correct way to spell his name. In the episode with Wingnut and Screwloose, his name is in the title and it's clearly spelled with an H instead of a K.

I can't wait to see it. I hope when they do introduce Casey that they don't mess with the character. I think they've been doing a good job with the changes they've made so far, but it's a little scary when you've been a fan for so long and there's a reboot. You wanna see it done well.
The monkey in Monkey Brains episode freaked me out a little, the way his eyes kept popping out of his head, lol

Would make a lot of sense for them to be connected. I considered it.

We already know chong goes through multiple 'stages' he starts off as a roach pet/spy of some kind for donatello and then mutates and then mutates AGAIN (this was shown at comic con 2012)

We also saw this with stockman who had 3 stages of armor.

Not saying newt will have 3 stages but he could very well have 2.

Because why else would a Newt mutant suddenly carry heavy humanoid weaponry and outfits if he were an animal prior?

The similar name is probably so kids can recognize the character both pre- and post-mutation.

If it is him, its just kinda disappointing that almost every human we meet keeps getting turned into a mutant. Its what makes me hope Baxter stays human for at least until Season 2.

He's a bit more extreme example of a fanboy than previously speculated. Love his little OT-style belt buckle. :P

I wonder if he will become the Newtrailizer...judging by his appearance and the Newtrailizer figure's appearance I'm going to say no, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm mostly excited for the shellraiser and the power cell (hopefully we'll see Leatherhead) and the fight with Fishface. I wonder if he'll fight just with his robotic legs or with a big sword like the figure comes with.

That's what's flanderizing their characters for me. The beginning of the show hyped the Kraang up to be both a threat and seriously creepy.

But all recent episodes have treated them like little more than punching bags. The Turtles take them down so easily now.

I also don't understand why there are so few Foot Soldier fights in this show. Its like because they're human they prefer to have the Turtles facing the Kraang instead so they can cut them up.

Look at it this way, if for some reason he ends up being Newtrailizer, he could have a vendetta against the Turtles for rejecting him. Like Syndrome in The Incredibles had the grunge against Mr. Incredible.

In fact, we need at least one bad guy in every single episode. I don't know what it is with kid shows and always having at least one bad guy present, it's almost like our main characters have a need to always be antagonised in order for us to be entertained... wait.
