That's not to say I dislike the lower episodes. Metalhead did drive me nuts though... Donnie suddenly can't use his bo to hurt Kraangdroids? Even though he was doing it with ease in earlier episodes. Leo can't find a weak spot on Metalhead even though the little alien blob controlling him is perched right on his head, literally inches away from their strikes. Gah!

Your list is pretty close to what I'd do. I agree 'turtle temper' is my least fav, not to say it is bad or anything. Spider Bytez is my least favorite character introduced so far.

in my order I'd put 'new girl in town' as #1 but 'it came from the depths' and your other top 3 are good choices.

And LOL I agree about the metalhead reruns :P :P

Forgot to mention that, it was annoying to see Donny's Bo staff being labeled "useless" I always thought he had a really cool weapon, that was so simple but effective.

Yeah, no offense to the writing team but "Metalhead" honestly felt like they just took the first draft and ran with it.

Very fun episode though, and I loved seeing their take on one of my favorite semi-obscure characters.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't like mousers attack.

Well.. thus far there hasn't been one single downright bad episode.

It'll probably come, all good series has at least one bad episode, that just happens when you are a lot of people working on a weekly show. But thus far.. none of these episodes are bad!

So it would be really hard for me to make a full list, how-ever. My top four probably would be.. and the order of episodes are just randomn here.

The Gauntlet
Panick in the sewers
Leatherhead
and I'monster

I am a geek, so I want to take a closer look at why these... which is sort of ironic as these are some of the newest episode and came out almost in a row. Or maybe that makes perfect sense since it's actually not that many episodes that has come out, and the turtles and the show has just recently truly found their footing, thus make more solid episodes. any-ways.

"The Gauntlet."
Was really an episode that deeply impressed me, it really dug into me and involved me.
It used a very clever structure this episode.. it spend the entire episode to build up a sense of falls security, for one reason and one reason only. To have the Shredder come and tear all of that down in less than a minute.
Wauw.. just.. one thing is merely introducing him. Another is taken the time to build that security that the Shredder just shatters right there. Brilliant build-up, and it managed making even me, a grown woman, feeling scared. And that's just brilliant!

"Panick in the Sewers."
Brilliant build further on the ending of the gauntlet, that vast empty feeling of defeat and being powerless against their enemies.
The episode took the feeling all-ready introduced, and explored it, which was a brilliant strike. It was the feeling in this episode that really sold it, the turtles did feel powerless and scared and then over-came their own fear in a spectacular brilliant fight-scene.
Also a nice touch that this episodes lesson was directed towards Splinter not the turtles.

"Leatherhead."
Mikey... oh Mikey, this is your most adorable incarnation to date. You are just so damn sincere in this show!
Just that picture of giant leatherhead sitting with tiny Mikey in front of him.. daww.
But really, it was the interactions between Mikey and Leatherhead that elevated this episode so much. Their bonding seemed really sincere and the dynamic between the two, just pitch perfect, it was damn memorable and I just can't wait for leatherhead to show up agin.

"I'Monster."
Splinter fighting the turtles.. and it looked awesome!
Also, one of the biggest. "Oh snap." moments of the entire show. "He has being going easy on us for all of these years!" .. oh snap.
But again, what elevated this episode were that the emotions and stakes felt real, the thought of the turtles facing Splinter were a genuine scary thought and the episode delivered on it.
I actually really like it when this Splinter gets some focus, he is an interesting character to me, and even though I knew the show is called. "Teenage turtles." I often find myself saying "Daww, but I want to learn more about Splinter!" which is not a bad thing really, and when it finally does happen, like it did in this episode, it feels worthwhile. :)

I dislike The Gauntlet because the 75% of the episode I dislike and the shredder battle is the only part I enjoyed. I hate rise of the turtles just because I have watched it so many times its boring to watch it ever again.

There hasn't been a bad episode since.:tsmile: I like all of them. Yes, sometimes they can get boring if you see them too many times. It's the same thing that happens to me when certain episodes or movies I like play constantly. For example, there are cable stations that kept playing Van Helsing. I like that movie, but I have to be in the mood to enjoy it. There are just days when I'm not in the mood or that I'm bored by it. Still, it doesn't mean they're becoming part of my worst list. I may get bored with Star Wars, but it's still fun.

Back on topic. I'd like to name my Top 5, but it changes constantly. Still, I haven't found an episode where I've said, "Absolute piece of crap!" We've gotten nothing but good episodes straight. Now and then, I don't like Mousers Attack or Metalhead because I feel they could have been written better, but they are some good episodes - especially entertaining.:twink:

It's an awful follow up to The Gauntlet.

We go from Shredder nearly killing the turtles and Splinter basically saying they aren't ****ing around with The Foot to a silly plot of blowing up the sewers, with April delivering walkie talkie pizzas and, to quote Shredder, go karts and water balloons.

I still like it, it was a fun episode. But definitely one of the weakest.

He doesn't **** around...

He send Xever and Bradford after the turtles, intending to kill them. Not capture them or any-thing. Just kill them.

He went after the turtles personally, because he wanted to kill them.

He was ready to blow up the entire new-york underground, just to kill one man.

Why did he send Karai out there? cause he wanted her to kill them, nothing else. Also why he got so pissed when she didn't do it.

Only thing I kind of need to see now is his hench-men suffering genuine consequences for failing, I mean.. yeah sure the Shredder threatens them a lot, and in the beginning, you do believe him, but he needs to follow up his threats with consequences at some point so it wont seems as pretentious.

Just.. please don't start di-composing Stockman limb for limb, the dude suffered enough the last time around.

I hate it so much when people write like that!..incredible...the episode turtle temper is NOT weak...you only feel that way about it, that doesnt hold any truth or fact to your statement!...

I recently rewatched turtle temper and I would absolutelly hold it very high in my list..why?it just felt comfortable and offered exciting dynamic action in the opening rooftop fight, the music was again awesome and presented a key from the first turtles movie even(someone on the drome mentioned that back when it aired, I wouldnt have caught that myself on the first few tries(if ever) even so I know the musc of the first movie by heart...)
the message in the episode is a pretty useful one and not seldomely vital one to many of us in real life!I mean dont tell me you have never had to deal with somebody in your life that just drove you nuts...but the way to get the day over with a smile was to learn to concentrate on the important thing and cut away anything too funky for you to cope with?
splinters story was not at all the same than in the second episode!it dealt around the same people but it highlighted a whole different point and his phrase 'it was I who turned his words into weapons!' still echoes in my head and brings a smile onto my face for my show comes up with such simple yet true wisdom, its such a joy!
we finally saw spike participate in a scene a little longer;)...and splinters 'proof of your existence..in high definition..'line were all hillarious moments in the show so far...
I dont get this hating on episode 3....

I do like what the producers are doing with Shredder - they said the plan is to do something big with him every 8-9 episodes. That way they don't overuse him too fast.

I liked Panic in the Sewers for restoring the Turtles confidence and taking back Splinter a couple of diles.

But I did kinda zone out during the huge driving sequence. It went on a bit too long for my tastes, they probably only did it to see Playmates buggy toys.

So let's see, "The Gauntlet" was episode #9, and this week we'll be seeing episode #15, so, if that statement is true, we'll be seeing Shredder in action again in either 2 or 3 weeks (that is, if we keep getting a new episode every week).

IMO, from best to worst. Not a single lemon in the bunch IMO. This was way harder than I expected and I don't feel sure at all. Some really great episodes and some really amazing ones. Couple of good ones. And these are the worst. The good eps!
