Any chance Peter Laird could release his movie drafts from his computer?

In a post on his blog he mentioned that he had drafts of the movies on his computer, along with other files. I don't think it would be all that much trouble to share some of these electronic files, especially since the fans have been wanting to see some of the early movie drafts for a long time.

What do you think?

Maybe someone could contact him on his next blog post, as that seems to be the only way to reach him...

What's to stop me? Simple. I don't have his email. And on his blog it seems you have to wait until he posts an "Ask Peter" update. Otherwise it seems he isn't open to receiving messages. I figure someone else here might be in better contact with him. He seems like a nice enough guy though. I doubt he'd be too opposed...

I'm curious how this works. Kevin Eastman auctioned off similar scrips recently. Maybe it's only OK to sell to a private person? Not distribute freely? Maybe Peter could "sell" them?

As for the other people, please read my previous post about how it's not exactly easy to get in contact with Peter. If it was, I would have done so already.

You yourself acknowledge posting on his blog is a known means of contact yet you refuse to do it. I have to assume you didn't try looking him up on Facebook, he's got one.

Please let me clarify. It seems on his blog that he only responds when he does an "Ask Peter" post, and those are far and few between. I haven't had the luck to catch one of those when he seemed to be answering. I'm not interested in posting old, off topic messages to him. I'm not sure where this "do it yourself" negativity is coming from. I've never "refused" to post on his blog. I simply explained the obstacles involved here. Once again, it only seems that he responds in NEW "ask Peter" posts. Posting off-topic messages in old posts seems like a bad idea to me. I thought other fans were interested in this movie material and might like to help brainstorm some ideas for how to best reach Peter. The facebook idea isn't bad, and I might consider it. But from my experience most famous people hate random facebook messages. FYI, I've tried to reach David Wise several times over facebook but no response about his scripts.

I remember a few years back I did an interview with David Wise via Facebook for my site, and he was more than happy to oblige. Although maybe since then he's decided not to talk much about his involvement with the classic toon.

Yes. Part of what I was getting at before was that maybe Peter or David Wise would be more receptive to answering a message from a fan here that they are familiar with. Your example is a good one. You had a site, he could see who you were, he was happy to oblige. Myself on the other hand am an unknown, so I don't think I would fare as well. If anyone else is interested in reading these scripts which we know he has, then we should work together, not argue.

If PL ever releases his movie drafts, you might as well ask for the 4kids drafts with all of the development notes he's released to us. I also recall one of Jeffrey Scott's Season 10 OT episodes being released. The problem with releasing scripts are these are copyrighted materials that can easily be infringed, plus they can be monetized like what Francis Moss did with his OT episode scripts which I purchased (nice to look at, but pricey for repro copies).
