Here's a couple shots of the dojo - note the two entranceways next to the tree. Splinter's room is opposite the tree. So, so far so good.

Next some shots of the main room. The back of the TV is up against those sliding double doors, which go to Don's lab/garage. The lab is opposite the pool/tire swing.

You can see by the windows that the dojo is just on the other side (they're the same half-circle windows behind the tree).

Kenny Byerly, one of the writers, also had this to say about it:

"This is amazing and I can vouch for its accuracy. It’s very similar to, and actually much prettier than, the rough CG top-down mockup we were given as reference for the lair. I like trying to figure out the layouts of TV locations, but I don’t think I would have been able to piece this together based on what we’ve seen on the show so far. The one thing I would note is, I don’t THINK there’s another staircase past the archway to the Turtle bedrooms. And I think Leatherhead lives much farther away."

Thanks for sharing! Please update if/when new portions of the Lair are shown. After seeing this plan, I feel this is the best Lair ever created for any franchise, with a great interaction between abandoned subway and sewer. I'd love to see a sewer/city map, since I'm noticing the same storefronts/billboards/buildings in many episodes.

The artist (http://marshtwain.tumblr.com/) (i sourced him in the first post, but I guess some other people sharing the map haven't been) is aware of this thread and is considering doing an updated version of the map after getting feedback from across tumblr, kenny, and some of us ^__^

He also made a cool post about the subway maps shown in The Pulverizer episode (http://marshtwain.tumblr.com/post/43697549218/tmnt-details) -- do they give info about the TMNT's various locations througout the episode or is it just kinda thrown in there as a detail? In any case, it's fun to examine.

It's funny because I was just watching the originals today and they had a four tier bunkbed. Leonardo was at the top obviously. I can imagine the fights between him and Raph.

Nice, this is an awesome and I think accurate layout of the nick tmnt's lair. I found some minor things that can be added to the layout. (For those who wants to make an updated turtle lair layout :tgrin:)

I love how the sewer lair is more detailed than the other sewer tunnel lairs and just a subway station instead. I like to think that this place is actually the abandoned NYC Subway City Hall station. You can tell from the curved walkway.

I don't think Donnie hardly ever uses his room. He probably always stays up late in his lab working on projects and eventually ends up crashing on the floor lol

I think with the bathrooms, there is probably a small toilet in Donnie's lab. (I mean there would kinds have to be considering he practically lives in there)

The men's toilet from when the place had been a subway station was probably was kept as is.

The women's toilet would be useless to them since they are guys so it was likely ripped out and made into a Japanese bath with shower and soaking tub that could hold maybe all four and possibly Splinter when they had been small. And roughly two turtles at their current age.

Raph thinks bathing is pointless since they live in a sewer if Splinter's comment of Raph needing a bath in "Karai's vendetta" was any indication.

Mikey likely splashes everywhere.

April probably just wore a swimsuit when she bathed or they had a scheduled time where the bath was hers privately. Either that or Donnie put up a privacy curtain around one of the showers.

This is the closest canon thing we have about Donnie’s room.

But if you read this issue, you find out Donnie and Raph share the same room, while in the version of the Nick cartoon, Raph sleeps alone in his own room. Anyway, it’s something …

P.S: If there are no photos of April in Donnie’s room, it can’t be Donnie’s room at all :lol:
