You know how some people say Penny is the REAL hero of the "Inspector Gadget" cartoon? It seems like Krang is the real main villain of the show. Most of the zany schemes were created by him and Shredder just carried it out, yet Shredder gets all the credit. You notice how the turtles ALWAYS suspect Shredder when something crazy happens in the city.

Dr. claw is considered the main villain and Gadget's arch foe even though he never fought Gadget physically or show up in person. He send his henchmen to do his dirty work. Krang called the shots and they were using his technology to commit crimes.

Shredder was directly tied to Splinter and the turtles mutation, but Krang was behind most of the world domination schemes.

Conquering the world is a much more prominent goal than defeating the Turtles, yet there wasn't an episode titled "Krangville". Krang may have more power than Shredder, but Tin Face is still the leader among the bad guys on Earth, as Season 2 proves. And the Turtles talk about defeating Shredder and not Krang. Its like saying that Donatello is the real hero and not Leonardo since he made all of the vehicles and special powers.

All of this makes sense to me, but I still think of Krang as the "real" power behind the main villains, and the one who wears the "pants" in the old-married-couple relationship.

Shredder has more of a connection to the Turtles and Splinter, and he's more active "in the field", but Krang owns all the toys.
