For those who keep up with the toys Playmates is releasing a set of Turtle tots in this years lineup. I doubt they would be releasing the Turtles as five year olds if there wasn't an upcoming episode about it.
In the 4kids series, "Tales of Leo" was a Turtle tots episode in Season 1, so if Nick does an episode like this in Season 1 as well it wouldn't be too odd.
Given almost every incarnation of TMNT features the Turtles as kids at some point, (Original toon, 4kids, Mirage and Archie all made "Turtle tot" stories), Nick doing the same wouldn't surprise me.

HELL YES. Those episodes were interesting and adorable and I really love seeing Splinter being more Dad then Ninja Master XD
Though I think I'd prefer seeing it in season 2. We're finally starting to get some answers with this Krang plot and I'm not sure how it would apply right away. Unless they bring it up in such a way that it kind of doesn't detract too much from the plot >_> I dunno.

This version of the TMNT seem pretty immature already, so I really don't see the need to kiddify them.

I wonder why... Could be be, now, this is just a theory, that they're teenagers?
I think it would be cool to see a flashback episode of Splinter learning to be a dad. It's definately something that I think will happen sometime in the next two seasons.

I mean compared to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of previous incarnations they're pretty immature.

Teenagers are immature. At least I was. :P
Maybe not a whole episode, a short flashback will be good too.

I would love to see some flashbacks scenes of the guys as tots <3 It'd be interesting to see how the show decides it's necessary to include something like that, and I think it'd really help (me personally anyway) seeing Splinter as more of an actual father figure to the guys rather than just their Sensei.

I would like to see Splinter take care of them..
Also.. I think it could be kind of funny just as a one note joke flash-back.
"You sure are diciplined Splinter." *Flash-back images of irresponsible turtle tots always being up to trouble*
"It comes with the territory."
I do think this Splinter is very fatherly when the situation calls for it, how-ever he is both a father and a Sensei.
He is from a culture where families works a bit different than in western culture, he is more honour bound, and more about diciplin than the regular western family.
Plus he is has been alone with four small children the exact same age, the only way he could possible keep tap on all of them, would be to be the strict diciplined one, and force the turtles to be diciplined as well.
So yeah, I definetely thing we see his fatherly side as it is. Wouldn't hurt to see a bit more of it, but I am sure it will come, probably at a season finale if I am not mistaken.

I would LOVE to see some Turtle Tot episodes. Those were my favorites from the 4Kids series, and I can't wait to see how Nick handles this aspect of the Turtles. Also, I believe it'll be more toward season two that we'll see this as season one has enough plot lines to keep us entertained.

We could have Splinter as a young man and perhaps Kirby raising a kiddie April, but what I would like the see the most out of this is the development of the Foot/Kraang's plans that provide a prequel to the series. An episode that takes place in present time about Turtles who shrink and become kids like in that OT episode where the pizza turned two Turtles into kids would be silly, but I wouldn't mind a little slapstick about not being old enough to use ninja weapons to appear.

I'm interested to see what the Nick show's version of Turtle Tots would be like. Given this show's tone, hilarity would ensue. As long as it's a flashback like in 2K3 and not how it was like in OT with age reversal.
The 2K3 Turtle Tot figure set is a great keepsake. Maybe I'll check out the Nick version.

Compared to what. Each turtles had their moments of immaturity and teenage moments(Mirage Raphael towel whipping the other turtles when the were trying to make sure he didn't waste the hot water and Mirage Raphael asking for beer(even though he is basically 13-15 years old), movie Raphael complaining he lost his sai and when Donatello tried to comfort him.but it became a pushing contest, OT Turtles) the only Turtles who were more mature was the 2k3 Turtles.

I'm inclined to think new turtle tot action figures means they'll show up on tv in some fashion.

I think we'll be seeing a Turtle Tots episode for sure. Like you said, Playmates wouldn't make figures of them if they weren't going to be featured in the show.
