The Nickelodeon series is the first time since the early '90s in that I had watched so many consecutive new episodes of any TMNT series. That got me thinking about my TMNT watching habits in general and how they've progressed over the years. Please break it down by Season if possible in addition to series.

For me:

Season 1: Too young to remember it on TV; caught in reruns during Season 3's airings.
Season 2: Too young to remember it first run, but caught it in reruns during Season 3-5 and on cartoon express.
Season 3: First time I watched when episodes were new (toward the end of the season), but assumed that episodes following the Big triology were still new to me and caught every episode.
Seasons 4-6: Caught every episode when new.
Season 7: Caught some episodes new (CBS), but was starting to lose interest. Did catch some of the Vacation in Europe on USA.
Season 8: Only saw a couple of episodes since one channel switched to Network News.
Seasons 9-10: Did not recall seeing any new episodes.

The Next Mutation: Caught about the first half of the series new, but tuned out.

4kids: Only saw one or two episodes throughout the entire run as it was under the radar for me. Caught Turtles Forever in a rerun.

Nick: Have seen every episode when first aired new.

Mine is somewhat similar, I was too young at the start of the old show, but it was during Season 3 where I think I first started watching the series. Since they re-ran the first two seasons to death and the VHS tapes I was able to see them anywhere. From there on I watched every season as they aired all the way till the end of Season 10.

I actually watched all of Next Mutation in its original run...god help me.

I watched all of the 4kids series in its original run from 2003-2009...saw every episode as it aired for the first time.

I've seen every Nick ep as it aired.

So actually, I pretty much religiously followed the TMNT franchise on TV from the time I became 4-5 years old.

I started watching Ninja Turtles in 1991, I think the first episode I saw was Rondo In New York, then A Thing About Rats, then Shredder & Splintered. Then the Eye of Sarnath episodes except The Incredible Shrinking Turtles, then Enter The Fly, then Bye Bye Fly. I pretty much saw seasons 1 through 4 in reruns out of order as well as season 5 as new episodes.

Seasons 6 through 10 I first saw as new episodes. When the cartoon was on USA Cartoon Express, I saw season 4 episodes I haven't seen before because they didn't air when season 5 began, also saw the Europe episodes.

I only watched the first few episodes of Next Mutation.

For the 4kids cartoon, I watched every episode as new episodes.

My memory for this sort of thing is terrible, but I'm fairly certain it started like this:

Seasons 1 and 2 of the OT - Didn't see them new. Pretty sure I first started watching reruns, though, before season 3 aired.
Seasons 3 through 6 - Watched religiously.
Season 7 - I know I caught a few but not very many. My interest had definitely died down by this point.
Season 8 - Saw commercials for the "new look" and decided to give it a try. I watched one episode and dropped the show for good. I can't remember exactly why, but I do remember being peeved that they changed the theme song, lol.
Seasons 9 and 10 - Didn't even realize these existed until I was looking up info on the new-at-the-time 4kids series.

Next Mutation - Watched about half of it before finally giving up.

4kids - Watched the first 3 episodes. I was in college at the time, and we had terrible reception in the dorms, so the only way to watch it was through less than legal means, and it didn't grab me enough to do so. Later caught an episode when the Turtles were captured in space and was very lost, so I never tried to catch it on TV again. Later found out about Turtles Forever, though, and did take the time to find that.

Nick - Watching religiously.

Let's see if I can remember.

Season 1 - Only on VHS the first time. Watched it on the USA Cartoon Express when it aired on TV.

Season 2 - Return of the Shredder was the first episode I ever saw and I got hooked big time. Missed out on the Incredible Shrinking Turtles and a few others. I remembered recording those episodes on VHS and watched them repeatedly.

Season 3 - My most fondly remembered season. I believe I saw every episode when it first aired.

Watched Seasons 4 thru 6 quite religiously. Season 7 was kind of hit and miss because that's when my interest started to wane.

Watched a handful of the first episodes of Season 8 simply because I got far more interested in Gargoyles at that time.

Didn't see the final seasons because I gave up by that time. I intend to watch them now that I have the entire series. The Party Wagon set of course.

Next Mutation - Watched most of it. A real guilty pleasure this one.

2K3 - Watched sporadically because of my busy schedule. I actually caught up with the plots mostly through the video games.

Nick - Watching this now.

Wasn't into the classic series.

Next Mutation: Until FoxKids replaced it injusticely.

2K3: Stepped in & out until Fast Forward & Back to the Sewers.

Nick: Like that show.

I was also too young for most if the OT when it originally aired. I had a few VHS tapes when I was 3 or 4. I do remember watching some on CBS....have no clue what season it was.

I watched 2 episodes of The Next Mutation. The pilot and the power ranger crossover.

I watched 4kids off and on. We didn't have cable so it was hard to get Fox to come in clear. I didn't watch fast forward at all.

Seen every ep if the Nick show! Even bought all of them on Amazon Instant Video.

Hmm..let me think..the OT first aired here in 1990, it was Season two. I started to watch it, when they showed it again in 1991, this Time from Season 1 - 5.

Never watched Season 6 and 7, since it came 4 or 5 years later and I forgot about it or more like, I didn't know there are more Seasons from it (and never catched it on TV)

Season 8..I saw through coincidence the Episode with the Rat King (never will I forget his Hat and the red glowing Eyes |D ). Wasn't to fond about it, since..everything was so different.
Season 9 and 10..never watched it.

Next Mutation..I didn't even know something like this existed, before I came here.

2k3 Err..I watched Season 1..perhaps a bit from Season two as well. I didn't like it that much, even so I kept watching it,when I had the Time for it. I think..it suddenly disappeared from the TV Sender through Season two or three, since I never saw it again.

2k12 Saw every Episode

I started watching in season 2 with the episode "Splinter No More" on its first airing. At the time the show was aired I think at 6am Saturday mornings. So I time recorded the episodes after that. When they moved to weekday syndication in season 3, I just kept recording them for some reason (I guess to watch when I was home sick from school, because there were no cartoons on during the day). I kind of miss the old commercial bumpers with that goofy voice (pat fraley?) during the syndicated seasons. Wish that was a dvd extra.

I think I started watching the original series in season 1 or 2, don't remember the first episode I ever saw (I think I was exposed to the toys first anyway with the 88 series) I just remember religiously recording every episode that aired on VHS

I remember when they started airing during primetime (I think the first episode was the Tattoo one) But I also think it was around this time that I started getting interested in other shows/toys

Next Mutation - never saw it

4kids - saw most of the first season as it aired, caught a few fast forward episodes here and there and had to download Turtles Forever to see it

Nick - Been DVRing since the beginning (even though I see most episodes as they're airing (that Friday airing thing caught me by surprise though :) ) ) and have the DVD

Sory, my love of TMNT started with COOTS.

When the cartoon debuted on CBS, it was opposite NKOTB on ABC (and if KPRC hadn't had a local show, I would like Chipmunks Go To The Movies)

I started watching the series in 1989, so I got to see most of season 3 as it aired on TV, but I believe I watched all of season 1 and some of season 2 on my cousins' VHS collection.

I keep trying to post in this thread, but I end up with a post that's about the legth of a book. So I'm gonna try a cliff notes version:

-Didn't really like the original TMNT cartoon when I first saw it in the 80's

-Saw the first movie and absolutely loved it, it's what made me a TMNT fan

-Watched a couple of seasons of the original cartoon, didn't think it was the greatest, but I enjoyed it

-Enjoyed the second movie

-Around the start of the fifth season of the original cartoon, started to grow out of watching action cartoons, for about the next five years my passions in life were Super Nintendo and Sports
Saw the third movie in the theater, didn't care for it at all

-In 1996 rediscovered my love for action cartoons, completely fell in love with the last two "red sky" seasons of the original cartoon

-Watched a couple of episodes of Next Mutation, didn't like it at all

-Spent the late 90's and early 2000's wishing the majority of the original cartoon would've been darker like the red sky seasons, doubted I would ever get what would soon be coming...

-Was really excited to get a new TMNT cartoon in 2003, at first didn't think that it was the greatest thing that I'd ever seen, but I was enjoying it
By the time the start of the third season came around, I realized that the 4Kids TMNT series had become on of my favorite action cartoons of all time
Was extremely disappointed when the fifth season of 4Kids series wasn't aired in favor of the Fast Forward season, however I did grow to enjoy the Fast Forward Season
Wasn't greatly impressed with the "Back To The Sewer" season, felt that the really enjoyable "Turtles Forever" movie was a great way to end the series

-Enjoyed the "TMNT" movie, but it was upon watching it a few more times on dvd that I truly fell in love with it

-Am enjoying the current Nickelodeon series, but I'm not greaty impressed with it

I was born in 1990, and I remember TMNT floating around a lot when I was a kid. It's on that same vague "I remember possibly watching it, but like hell if I remember anything about it" wave as the old Legend of Zelda series (including the world's most annoying tv catch phrase, 'Excuuuuuuse ME, Princess") and the super mario show (I SWEAR IT WAS A CARTOON AT SOME POINT, NO ONE BELIEVES ME!). But I was really young, and I don't really remember much. I just remember we used to have this game on the original game boy, and I'd always pick the guy with the staff, because screw swords and those fork things and nunchucks, the staff was cool! So I wound up being a Donnie fan early on >_>

But I'm making this way longer then it has to be. I only really got hit by the TMNT truck about two months ago. I caught the Nick series, started bemoaning them big tv corporations taking things from the good old days and messing them up with their 'in style' CG....- And then realized that it was actually pretty good, and better yet, that I actually liked it a lot >_> And I have this unfortunate habit when I love a tv show, that I will go full ocd and try to pick up every little bit of it I can here and there. I wound up barrelling through the 2k3 series and loved that, and I've currently gotten my hands on the comics, which I'm slowly getting through.

I'm really disappointed with Kid!Me for not getting into this when it was actually around more XDD

( ALAS! I HAVE RETURNED!)

I'd say around the end of 4kids season 1, I was little back then, so I don't remember watching it much, I followed till the end of 4kids
I then watched the OT on some DVDs..
Now I'm watching nick!

The first full episode I remember watching was "Return of The Technodrome".

Prior to that I'd heard around the playground about "the turtles" and constantly being asked which was my favourite but I'd only ever seen brief glimpses of episodes of them eating pizza so I really didn't "get" it. It was that season 2 closer were I obviously saw something which stopped me switching to the next station and it clicked for me that it was an action/adventure show with humour as opposed to just straight up humour that I thought it was prior.

My watching history is, wierd.
I was an adult by the time the Turtles hit the screen in 87/88 in the UK.
I liked it, but didn't watch it that often. Then I saw the first movie in the cinema, and started watching the tv show more often.
So, I had never seen a full season.
I never knew there was a second set of seasons ( the 2003 seasons) till I found the Fast Forward DVD set here in China. I bought it as soon as I saw it, then I found S1 and S2 of the 2003 seasons, and.. Got the rest
I bought the Classic Van set in Canada and I'm watching those now ( as I type) and I watch the new Nick show (which is excellent) through my iTunes.
So..
Some classic toons
Fast Forward
Season 1 and 2 of the 2003 show
The Nick show
Seasons 3,4,5 and 7 of the 2003 show
The classic toons, in order this time !!
2 episodes of Ninja Turtles...

1987 series
Seasons 1-3: From late 1989, I'd watch the episodes when they were in syndication. On school days, I only watched on Fridays since I'd go to an after-school center on Monday through Thursday, and my school always let us out early on Fridays. So I'd be at my grandmother's place until my mother picked me up.

Season 4: When the episodes started airing on CBS, I watched for a time, but then never kept up later on for some reason. So I wasn't really watching anymore after that. I definitely gave them up for Power Rangers once the eighth season started, but thanks to the 2003 series, my interest sparked again and I caught up on the series when the episodes came out on DVD.

The Next Mutation
I didn't watch when it was active, but I gave the show a try when the episodes were available for instant viewing on Netflix. I only made it as far as the 15th episode and I've had no desire to go back to it.

2003 series
Seasons 1-7: I watched all the way through.

Nickelodeon series
I've been watching since the very beginning and I'm still watching now.

Original Cartoon: I saw reruns of random episodes from the first three seasons as a kid, but never in chronological order. I can't actually recall watching it, but I remembered a lot of episodes from those seasons when I attempted to watch the entire series after the Nick one started. I stopped somewhere in season 4 or 5, and it took me a long time to get that far because I couldn't get into it. My childhood nostalgia for TMNT came from the movies, which I remember having on VHS.

Next Mutation: Attempted to watch it a little while ago, never made it through the first 5-parter.

4Kids: Watched the series marathon-style in 2011. I didn't know it existed when it was airing.

Nick: Been watching since it started.

Original cartoon
I was too young to remember watching the first 3 seasons when they first aired but I think I started watching new episodes around season 4 and caught many of the new episodes from season 5 and 6. I watched many of the episodes of the first three seasons through reruns. I don't think I saw any episodes from season 7 when I was younger. I did catch one of the episodes of the red sky seasons but hated it because it was so different from the original cartoon and never watched any more of those episodes. I never even knew there was a season 9 and 10 until about 2000.

The Next Mutation
-I watched some episodes when the first aired but pretty much hated the show and stopped watching it.

TMNT 2K3
I watched the first few episodes when they first aired but lost interest pretty quickly. I think it was because I was expecting it to be like the original cartoon.

Nickelodeon TMNT
I watched the first episode when it aired and then caught one or two more in reruns. I still want to watch all the episodes.

original cartoon: Up until getting season 7 on DVD my watching schedule for watching these episodes was spastic and I would only watch it on YouTube since I wasn't even born when this show was originally airing.

Next Mutation: Like the original show I didn't see this when it aired. Hell I wasn't even aware of this show until I learned about it on Tv Tropes. Then the Hub started airing it, I recorded a few episodes and stopped watching it.

2k3: Never watched this when it originally aired either :ohwell: I've been catching up on the episodes recently though.

Nick: The only show I've been watching since it's aired and I'm still watching it.

Original cartoon: watched it on TV for the first time in 1989. First episode I watched was "Splinter and Shredder".

Next Mutation: never watched it, I'm not even sure it was aired over here.

2k3: watched it for the first time last year on youtube, upon returning on the path of my TMNT mania.

Nick: haven't watched it yet, waiting for it to be aired on public TV one day.

I started watching with OT in 87 or 88 when I was 5/6, and I watched it religiously until the end. Next Mutation...I watched the first episode and stopped. 4kids, I watched it for most of its run. I would miss episodes here and there. This was when my kids were small so it was hard sometimes to watch. Nick...religiously!!

I watched the 4Kids series since it was on. I was just a young kid when it was on, but I loved it. Then I watched the 2012 series, and that's where all the madness begins. I watched almost EVERYTHING to do with the Turtles. All the movies, including TMNT and Turtles Forever, a lot of episodes of the OT, lots of episodes of 4Kids, the Next Mutation, The Tour, the 2 specials, the terrible Blue Line special, and I started collecting. It was such a shame my 2 brothers sold all their TMNT and Biker Mice from Mars stuff. But yeah, they were growing up, and I wasn't into that stuff when I was younger. So that's kinda my story :tsmile:

Watched the OT from the beginning until 1993 then lost interest around the Red Skies era (I did read the Mirage Comic though during that time)

2007 - 4Kids series mostly on DVD because my son was watching the cartoon and I remember really liking it because it's closer to the Mirage comic than the OT.

2012: Nick I watched the Premiere and have been catching every episode since it started...

1988/89-Rented Shredder Is Splintered VHS and saw those 2 episodes. Wasn't crazy about it.

1989-Saw all of the first 3 seasons, weekdays on TV. I was very upset when it replaced Real Ghostbusters on my local TV channel, but by the end of the first episode I didn't care about Ghostbusters anymore. I was hooked.

1990-Watched Season 4. Some were added to the weekday episodes, but most of them were on Saturday mornings. I was totally obsessed by this point. Very shocked and excited when I discovered it was on Saturday mornings, and had a new intro.

1991-It stopped airing on weekdays, but I was still watching every week on Saturday mornings. I'm not quite as obsessed about it this season but am still watching it even when it's a season 4 rerun.

1992-Still very into the show and watching every week.

1993-Losing interest a bit and not watching every week, but still managed to catch every episode of the season. I didn't see the European Vacation episodes at all. I don't think they aired in Canada. I didn't even know about them until late 90's/early 2000's.

1994-I wasn't very into the new look of the show but did see every episode that season. ReBoot was becoming my new obsession now.

1995-I made one attempt to watch it this season. I saw an episode where they were going through the crazy mutatations and that was the last episode I watched. I recently bought the DVD's for the last 2 seasons though and am almost done watching them now. I think I have 3 left.

1996-Completely done with the show. Didn't see a single episode from this season.

1997-I tuned into one episode of Next Mutation out of curiosity. I think I watched it for 2 minutes and said I don't f^@%ing think so. Never tried to watch it again.

2003-First noticed it in the tv guide and thought they were starting to re-air the old cartoon. I was a little disappointed when I saw it was a new series, but out of curiosity watched it anyway. By the end of the first episode I decided it was worth watching.

2004-Still watching.

2005-Lost interest/couldn't find.

2006-Caught one episode of Fast Forward. Didn't really care for it.

2008-Decided to give the 2003 series another chance and started watching online from the beginning. I got a lot further this time, but lost interest again before I reached the end of the 4th season. I never did finish this series.

2009-Heard about Turtles Forever and made an effort to find it online. I enjoyed this movie a lot.

2012-Heard about the new series, and was interested enough to see what Nick was going to do with it, that I made an effort to see the first episode. I loved it instantly.

2013-I don't watch TV anymore. Everything online now. The new series is not available online in Canada legally, but I find it online where I can and have seen every episode so far. I'm really enjoying this series.

I wasn´t even alive most of the OT time... 2k3 I followed religiously, but not all the show, because has I can remember they didn´t aired the whole show here...
2k12 I started recently to follow it, after remember the 2k3 with some mates
