I've been wondering how they could introduce Casey into the series and make him retain most of his aspects. I was thinking a similar manner to that of the 2003 series, but I think they might do something different. I've also been wondering who could voice him. What do you think?

I have no predictions on his introduction (other than they might use the classic Raph meeting him first thing), but as far as his voice actor goes...

I see a lot of people predicting/wanting Dante Basco (Zuko from Avatar) just because Mae Whitman (Katara from Avatar) is April now. I say bleh to that, that's just letting fans of that shipping live vicariously through TMNT. :P My personal pick, because he can do great comedy and action both, is Will Friedle. I don't know if he's ever worked with Nick before though, and he could potentially end up busy with Girl Meets World soon, so who knows.

I also predict tension between him and Donnie for obvious reasons.

I'd welcome the return of the 80's Dirty Harry kick-ass vigilantee, just not as silly. I still kinda prefer him as an occassional guest star in the series rather than a new member of the team.

He's probably going to be very similar to how he is in the IDW series. He's an 18 year old high school student.

One of the more interesting aspects of his introduction could be the tension between him and Donatello. I would love to see an episode where the two confront each other over their feelings.

I just assumed it'd be Corey Feldman. Or do we know who he's playing, yet? It was implied Feldman's character and Raphael would have a special relationship.

I hope they don't get Basco... I'm not really familiar with his other work, but he was...strange in Avatar. >_> He sort of always sounded like he was reading from a script. Unless Zuko was getting pissed. That's when he reeeally shined. I'm not sure if it was just because of the nature of the character, or if that's just how he does voice work, but it took some time to get used to... I'm not sure I'd like him as Casey Jones though....

Since they already did an episode on Raph's anger, Casey's probably going to run into the turtles due to his masked vigilante gig. I only really have one criteria for Casey, and that is, he has to be funny. I don't care how this is accomplished, but when Casey was on the screen in the 2003 version, I was pretty much always in stitches. He somehow managed to come across as likeable, despite being a gungho bonehead. But maybe that's just me. I just really liked the fact that he was an unabashed smartass.

And yes. I'm actually really looking forward to the Donnie/Casey bomb counting down. It's going to be interesting and pave the way for looots of character development. Assuming they still go the 'Casey/April' route. I guess that's pretty much standard by now, but who knows, they might change that?

Recently Will Friedle recorded dialogue for Nick's new show "Monsters Vs. Aliens". So he has had experience voice acting with Nickelodeon. :tthumbsu:

Than he can't be playing Casey because Casey has a relationship with April not Raphael.A joke?

Found the quote from Ciro: "His role is a perfect complement to his relationship with Sean. It couldn't be any better."
http://www.tvguide.com/News/Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-Corey-Feldman-1057140.aspx

The article also says Feldman's expected to do multiple episodes.

It's not at all proof. But Casey fits the bill. It's where my money is, if only because of personal hope.

Hmm...I'm not sure what to think about Feldman playing the role. It could be fun, but I was really hoping for Friedle for some reason. He could do it well maybe though, and if they go the 'LAWBREAKER!' route, he's got a deeper gravelly voice now that could work for that.

Really? Sweet, so there's a good chance he may be on Turtles in some way or another at least.:D

True, I particularly enjoyed him in the season one finale.

The TCRI episode was brilliant. I actually showed that to a friend today. She's never seen TMNT nor is she familiar with any of the characters. She was dying by "GIVE ME A TOASTER, OR GIVE ME DEATH".
And considering what a smart mouth Raph is, it'll be an interesting dynamic XD

Back at the TMNT event taking place near SDCC in June 2011, it was said that Casey was planned to be a couple years older than the Turtles and April. It was also said that April will have a bit of a crush on Casey and, of course, Donatello will be a bit jealous over that. Some of that might change by the time Casey does show up, but I'm not betting on it.

If I had to guess, I would say that Casey would be introduced in a similar way to the Pulverizer, but he would actually be able to beat up the Purple Dragons instead of coming off as silly. Raph would probably think he was cool, but something about his methods would make the other guys think that Casey was going overboard. After several attempts to make him stop fighting crime (or at least tone it down), they'd get into a situation together where the Turtles and Casey have to work together to win. Everyone would end up learning some lesson. Roll credits. :tlol:

I for one hope they'll go the classic way and introduce him somewhat similar to Mirage/1990 Movie/2k3.

It probably won't be until season 2 and I predict he will be a guest but not regular. He will be younger and clost to Raph. That's my prediction.

Shark_Blade, that was the most 90's thing I've seen in a long time XDDD That was great. An intro like that would be awesome.
Those poor foot ninja's. That was one New York welcome.

Also, I think it's already confirmed that he's going to be older, but still in high school. "He got held back" was the line I remember reading.

Ordinarily I don't care much for Casey Jones, but I'll pass judgement when he actually shows up.

Can't wait to see how they'll come up with Casey. Considering Karai had an extreme makeover, my mind boggles how they will do Casey. Will the mask be pure white or black (like in TMNT movie) or maybe something different? Long hair or short?

*excited* :thyper:

It seems like the the 4kids series couldn't decide if he was supposed to be some bad ass vigilante or a bumbling fool.

Hahah, I agree. There was something ridiculously cheesy, but amazing awesome about the entire era. Good times!
And yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I was also wondering that they'd do about his clothes, since his style never really seems to change much from iteration to iteration. The mask/vigilante gear is really what I want to see. I'M SO EXCITED, IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY XDDD

Yeah... Street smarts is important, though Casey always struck me as being a bit of both- Badass and bonehead in one. That was one of the things I liked about his character. Yeah, he was an idiot, but he showed that he did have a brain on numerous occasions and he was capable of using it. He just didn't always use his head. He was a doer, not a thinker, and he was more likely to get pissed and run head on into something then he was to sit back and wonder if that was the smart thing to do in the first place. It was a strength and a character flaw of his XD

I hope for a mix of how the Turtles met Casey in OT, how Raph met Casey in Mirage/2K3/1990 movie(almost exactly the same) and how Raph mat Casey in IDW comics. I hope for some good Raph/Casey banter and April swooning over Casey (with Donnie being jealous) and now due to Rob Paulsen's tweet with the 2 Donatellos and Michelangelo, I want to see Corey Feldman as Casey Jones.
