I actually am leaning toward the old one. I still have my original sewer & its just somethin about it that makes me prefer that over the new one. I beleive the main reason is that it has the upper area where u can have em battle on the street & the lower area that acts as their hideout. The only flaw is that it was too damn small! The new one is huge wit tons of play room but it is strictly a sewer with no upper city area. I'm curious to see what you guys think....

Well, seeing as I don't have the playset yet (and I won't have it for a long time), I can't really say what one I like better.

The old one was a lot of fun, and I've heard some things about the new one that I won't really like (lights and sounds, the fact that it costs 50-80 bucks...) I'm leaning towards the old one.

well i dunno what the old one cost but I like the new one, did ya see the cool as battling simulation knobys? you stick their foot in place and with the knops you can get them to fight. Its got that cool dart gun and that zip line, thats not the one that comes with raph. I think even has a riseing platform that takes you from the inside to out the top.

Yeah, but when the technodrome came out in... 1989 I think, wasnt it $100? I was only 3 (or 4 if i got it in 1990, cant remember) but it was the coolest thing ever :D

Because I dont HAVE the new sewer playset, im gonna have to say that I like the older one more. Does anyone have any pictures [of] the new one on-hand?

old just for memories reasons. I built it with my dad, and I can still remember us building it. Plus at the time it was a very nice piece.

The new one's more detailed and focuses more on the action features and design.

While the old one is relatively "plainer" by comparison, though the street vs sewer aspect is equally cool.

Haha, for my vote, I would vote for the 1995 sewer transforming playset (one of those mini-Turtles base) in which the Party Wagon can open up and the little Turtles + vehicles can fit easily into the sewer set. :P

Check out the "Party Wagon Playset" on the official site under 1995 for pics!

Have we gotten a full run-down on what exactly the new one will do as far as action features and electronics? A lot is obvious from looking at the pics, but i was thinking about an official description.

the old one would be better if it didn't fall over every time ya touch it.

The old one because I dont like the lights and sounds aspect on the new one but the technodrome was the best.

Voted for the old one...the telescope disguised as a fire hydrant...genius (at the time).

And the swing from the wires, I used to use that to kick Bebop and Rocksteady from the manhole cover on the other part of the playset.

There was really no point bumping this thread. Especially considering new sewers have since come out.

I am more concerned on why they don't have the 2003 sewer playset. I love that one. The new one looks like a lego set with all those add ons and the old one is extremely nostalgic :)

I prefer the old sewer playset because it is original from the 80's toon !! I love the pipes which could lead to the huge sewerage system from NYC (in my imagination as a child) !! :D
