Good work on the hands. Those are definitely tricky. LOL!

Unusual for someone self taught to be able to draw like that. Growing up I knew only a handful of people who truly had that ability. Not all the best artists come out of art school or have the best jobs for that matter, but it's sure nice to see talent get recognition and decent paying work, though.

Self taught is good, if you're always looking to improve yourself, though if one finds the right art class, one can learn to further develop and refine their own style. Trouble with a formal art education-- even a good one where you actually do learn something-- is you end up having to pay off a school loan for the next 6000 years. Unless you get scholarships and grants to take care of that.
Good thing too is to learn stuff from other artists. Everyone who's been drawing for a while has some knowledge to impart. :)

Self taught is the way to be! It took years before I would ever even look at an art book because I felt that it was cheating. I still don't like rulers.

Thew, lookin' forward to your inks man. What do you use to ink?

BigThew
06-22-2003, 11:56 PM
