Hey, I never even knew about them until I started becoming an AOL member, and I never even got into them until the new series came out back in 2001.Wow. I can't picture the old cartoon with no knowledge of the Mirage comics, we really all did come aboard from different media.
Anyway, I hope you don't mind that I used your format for my post.

He is so much fun I think he is someone I would like to go clubbing with and go to the beach with and stuff, I think I like him cause he reminds me of one of my very close friends, a lot, (i nickenamed him Mikey ona few nights on the town) and we have ben partners in crime since we were 16, Mikey is definatelly like that guy.

You'd think he would be up there dating wise, wouldn ya, cause he is all geeky and all, but no, he is too much of a pacifiist sometimes, and I like boys I can fight with, he is more like the sciency guys I am friends with now, still cool, still funny, but a bit reserved and dedicated, he reminds me of my boy crew on campus, always sweet and nice and helpful and a bit shy, and super smart, so he is more like the best friend.

he is very structured and spiritual, I do have a few friends that are my neurotic friends, people I can safely tell that I haven't skipped but 2 classes in 3 semsters(impressive for college!) and that I use sheet protectors on my notes and color code them and that I'd tattle on anyone that cheats or commits academic dishonesty,
I have very, VERY high integrity and standards when it comes to education and respect for my teachers, and I belive learning is the most important job as a human - it doesn't habve to be school, but just..learning..., and I think I like that about him, we share that passion for knowledge and structure.

In order of how much you like them.
In my case, I'm giving reasons... but dont feel you have to just because I am.

1-Leonardo- The Leader and the most skilled
2-Donatello- Turtles would be helpless without his brilliance in technology.
3-Michelangelo- Comic relief! between Don + Raph cuz of his since of humor.
4-Raphael- Out of the 4, I like him the least since he's kind of a punk @$$.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........

1. It's a Tie. Raphael (Girls always like the dangerous ones.) & Leonardo (After I've started to play him in my RPG and getting into his head I like him just as much as Raph.)

2. Michelangelo. (What's not to like about this fun loving turtle? I mean if he were real, I'd love him as a friend because we'df have alot of fun.)

3. Donatello. (Don't get me wrong. I like Donny. He just has a sort of subtle charm to him. But he seems to live in a lonely world all by himself that few can understand. I mean he's a genius level Turtle. It's not that I like him the least. The fact he's an outsider even where Leo is concerned has a kind of appeal that pulls on my heartstrings. Out of all the turtles, he's the loneliest because no one could possibly comprehend him on his intellectual level.)

Ninja Tiptup Don just has some all around great parts in the movies. Mike has some real great stuff too. They have alot of good jokes together. My favorite parts with Don are mostly his actions. Like his water spitting in the first one. Where he pretends to be one of those punching things in the second one. Plus he's got tons of great schtick along with Mike. Most of my fav Don parts come from the third movie:

don: Don't worry....I came prepared! *pulls out marshmellows* haha
leo: put those away!
don: haha....hmmm *puts them away*

don: Uh guys...I don't think this is uh *licks hand and slicks back pretend hair* structurally speaking such uh good time for your uh buddies to drop in!

Probably true, but don't forget the Utroms, Triceratons, Fugitoid, frequent time travel, dimensional warp, universal crossover, mutation, radioactive ooze, ninja telepathy, alien princess duels, superheroes, frog men, Bloodsucker, and worm cloning. :lol:

Actually my loyalties lie close to quiller bee's, though not as strongly, and I like to be a little more polite about it. :wink:

If you read the few previous posts you would know what I thik about that post... No point in comparing chracters of Childrens cartoon and Comic book for youn adults wich is entirely based on the characters. Of course childen't cartoon does not have that deep and unique characters... I have come to realize that since the age diffrence between the target audiences is so big, there is no point in comparing the two. It's like comparing The Matrix to Winnie the Pooh.

First of all, let's get one thing straight: I'm a guy, not a girl. :evilgrin: Secondly, for those of you chastising me for sharing my opinion of the old cartoon, a bit of info for you: I too was a kid at the time of the first season's airing. The initial comparison was made when I WAS a child. In other words, don't tell me that I can't compare the two, because I quite simply . . . did. What appeals to one may not to another, and I have a right to voice my opinion one way or another, which is simply what I did. Let's not turn this into a silly war of words or opposing opinions. These are characters we apparently all care about and feel somewhat strongly about, so let's just agree to disagree and part company as friends.

Perhaps not fair, but a comparison nonetheless—as I said before, made first when I, myself, was a kid.

I understand and accept that many people love the old show. Some of the fans of the old show aren't all that crazy about the Mirage series for the very reasons that I fell in love with it. Some like chocolate, some like vanilla, some love all ice cream, while others detest it all. Fair or not, we all make comparisons every day—consciously or otherwise. I'm unfortunately one of those people who is sometimes a little too honest and forthcoming with such comparisons and opinions.

In all fairness, I shouldn't have been quite as harsh as I was in my criticism of the TMNT “universes” that I don't care for. I apologize if I offended anyone or stepped on any toes.

Man, my first day out here, and I am NOT of to a good start! I swear, I'm not a mean guy! Really! :)

Sorry it took solong to explaint he dream, i've boon out of the country for the past week.

I was about 4-5 when I had the dream that turned me off of Leo. In the dream,i had found a magic spell that would bring my favorite toy to life. I used it on my Leo action figure and he became life-sized and sentient. All was fine and dandy, until I tried to play with him and he kwpt wrecking my toys. i finaly got mad at him and sent him out to invite some of my friends to a sleepover, while I got the house ready. For the rest of the dream, strange, scary things kept happening in my house. The one i remember most was that Charlotte's Web was actually happening in my living room and I remeber hearing Wilbur the Pig crying "I don't wanna die! I don't wanna die!" In the movie, Wilbur was always ok, but in my living room, his little piggy head was on a block and the farmer was raising his axe. I ran back to my rom and slammed the door so i wouldn't hear Wilbur. As I turned around, i saw Leo sitting in my bed w/ my older brother, Eric, and his then-girlfriend, Dawn. After all that had happened to me, the last thing I needed was leo messing more stuff up. I snapped my fingers and sent my bro and his girl home, and then turned to Leo. "As for you," I said, rolling up my sleeves and getting my magic ready. "Back to a toy you go!"

I woke up, terrified, and threw my leo action figure, which had been tucked into my pillowcase, and threw it across the room, never to play with it again.

Looking back, it's kinda weird that the dream of a 5 year old would turn her off a specific character for the rest of her life, but take into account that I was a small child with a MASSIVE imagination. While I have never out-right hated Leo, he's been on the bottom of my list ever since. I liked the Movie Leo and the new one, but the old cartoon stuck me as a whimp. But the new incarnation is giving me more and more reasons to move him up a notch.

Well, I am a die-hard Mikey fan. He has just been my favorite character througout the whole time period I have known about the series. He got me to love pizza, which has been my favorite food since I was 3 or 4...heh.

However, Corey Feldman as Donnie kicked... He was great.

Mike - Funny, pure comedy... Nunchukos kick!
Don - Can be funny, but is smart... He gave me my inner-geek.
Raph - Baddass, is his own boss. You have to respect that.
Leo - Awesome leader

I like the old show more, simply because of the change in characters... Like Shredder having a dojo in New York, April not being a newscasters, and not knowing Urma... I can talk more if anyone cares...Probably not.

Don-I've been able to "relate" to him the best,plus im the best with his weapon.:)
Mikey-His one liners are classics,even to this day.
Raph-Sai's are cool,and he's the hot head.
Leo-Meh,never connected to him and he seems up tight,but every group needs a leader and he does the job damn good. (Also the Inventor/Artist he's named after made some preety sweet stuff :P )

Okay, I'm really late replying to this but anyway...

1) Raph - His hot-headness/temper, sarcastic attiude and angsty nature are all things I can relate to a lot and I just think he's cool.
2) Mikey - He's just a complete wacko (in a loveable sense of course) and totally hyterical. Knows how to have fun.
3) Donny - He's super intelligent but doesn't rub it in people's faces, has a funky laid back/semi-sarcy attitude that I really like and is kind of the sane one out of the four.
4) Leo - I love Leo, I do, but being forced to rank the four, I'm listing him last because sometimes he's just *too* serious and harsh on the others..but he does have the best Ninja skills and the coolest weapon.

That was hard. Never make me choose between my boys again. :goofygri:

Leo: Cuz he's the most skilled and dedicated and serious. You can always expect good ninja action from him. Also because Cam Clarke's one of my favorite voice actors.

Raph: He's pissed off. All the time. The Raph/Casey duo is one of my favorites in all of comics since they just have such a great dynamic.

Don: He's not as exciting, to me, as the other two, but he IS the team's tech guy and serves an important purpose.

Mike: Bah. 90% of the time he's an annoying attention whore. Can hardly stand him.

Really my only experince of TMNT has been moslty through the cartoons and Live Action Movies

Classic Toon

Michaelangelo: I loved his personally in the classic cartoon he was fun and always nice and kind to every one and could be pensive and serious at the same time. He was more than just more than just a party turtle he was real sweetie, I also though he was wicked cool Cowabunga!

Leonardo: I loved his voice sooo sexy and I liked that he was the leader. He made a good leader

Raphael: OMG nothing can beat classic toon Raphael, he is a god, I LOVED HIM, and with my second time with watching the old series on DVD took Leonardo's place as second fav to the party dude. He was funny and sassy and no could ever have a good retort for him. Classic Toon Raphael Rocks

Donatello: I like Donatello but I have to say I have a new apprication for him this time around than when I was little, he was surely complex and pragmatic and had the making of an evil genius that was merly hinted at in some cases, tottolly mysterious

Actually in the classic series all the turtles are equal in the "like" department but I liked Michaelangelo a little more.

New Toon

Michaelangelo and Leonardo: are even

I'm very impressed with New toon Leo and unless you want be to write a novel on how much I adore him and why I just gonna say this New Leonardo Rocks. Mikey is still my fav but is obnoxious attitude kinda turned me off at first and his cowardice at times made me cringe, but I evetually began to love him again and he is a wicked kick ass fighter, way better than any incarnation I've seen him in, and he still has a big heart and is a sweetie. I also like how he doesn't just let his Bro's pick on him all the time like in the classic toon.

Donatello I like his voice and his quite relaxed personally, give a girl friend already!

Raphael He can be a jerk and I want to floor him about half the time, but i like his gruff kindness and affection he has for his brothers.

To be honest, I love the four boys equally in just about all the TMNT universes with only slightly more favortism towards Leo.
It's only after watching the new series did I develope a great love for Leo with Don and Mikey about equal and Raph dead last just because he's so irritating. It's a shame because I adore Raph from the original series.That's pretty much my sentiments exactly. Though the new toon put them level for me. If I had to describe myself it'd be Leo/Mikey - that is, I'm a perfectionist and strictly adhere to my moral values... and yet I have a healthy sense of humor and tend to procrastinate... That gets frustrating, by the way - when you're a perfectionist AND a procrastinator? Hurts my head.

Mirage Comics (from what I've read)

Donatello: I have to say that I am rather impressed with him, he isn't the awkward geek that he is made out to be in most mediums.

Leonardo: He seems to be very perceptive and wicked intelligent in this series, not much gets by him

Raphael - cause he does things I wish I could do. Inside, he's alot like me...I hold in anger and explode eventually. Takes awhile, but it happens...just dont be in the range of my fist unless yer a whackbag.

Leo/Donnie: Tied...cause I love em both. I'm a geek like Don and I married a Leo.

Mike: My least fave cause he is so obnoxious..like that damn dog next door who yaps contantly!!

Movie:
Raph, he felt the most real in the first movie. He even moved better, the animatronics seemed better on him!

Donnie- he's as cute as Raph.

Mike- not so annoying as his new toon counterpart, he's smart and funny.

Leo- I'd like to smack him cause he argues with Raph...just listen to Raph's side you dope! He needs to vent his frustration! I still like him, he's a cutie.

Well, Raph in the Mirage comics isn't quite as irritating. He doesn't slap Mikey around like a dick, and he doesn't give Leo as much of a hard time. He's actually pretty coopertive. He just needs his space once in a while which the other guys give him. Heh. I guess it's because Mikey is more serious and Leo is more relaxed and not uptight. That and Raph seems more mature in the comics too than he is (or I should start saying "was") in the new series.

Actually, with how Raph has been lately in the series, he's really maturing and not so irritating anymore. He's moving up to being equally favored along with Don and Mikey. :)

Don and Leo- Don is really a lot different than his old toon self, he's more on the soft spoken side and his OT self seemed a little more....whats the word!?.....out spoken I guess. NT Leo is very skilled and trains very hard to adept in the style of ninjitsu.:evilgrin:

Raph- A bit of a fire ball, I never really favor'd these types of characters, but Raph is cool because under the angry tough guy exterior lies a caring, strong hearted character.:)

Mike- Sometimes his jokes are funny, but sometimes NT Mike is a little obnoxious for my taste.:ohwell:
