What are the never before seen eps on DVD and are there plans from Lions Gate to release the episodes on Blu Ray with BD Live and all the extras?

I just found out that they just made a DVD set in 2012. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Complete Classic Series Collection (2012). But it's sold out online.

Actually there were 4 episodes that DID air from the last few episodes. Those were "The Return of Dregg", "The Beginning of the End","Mobster From Dimension X", and "The Day the Earth Disappeared". In some areas of the United States not all of the final episodes premired. I never had seen until posted on Youtube circa winter 2007, "The Power of Three","A Turtle in Time", and "Turtles to the Second Power, the three episodes Shredder and Krang return and have a three way battle with the TMNT and Dregg. Those did not air in my area despite the idea the four above mentioned had not. Simply, a catch-22 sales gimmick. Those episodes all reappear on the Final Season DVD along with the three episodes previously skipped over.
Lionsgate's license expired.

It's too bad there weren't secret episodes about Wyrm like in that toy commercials.

It would have been a "never before seen episode" if they actually had the episode "Shredder In Love". But that episode is like mysterious folklore.
I know that in an interview on YouTube somewhere, Renae Jacobs (OT April's voice actor) said that her voice was recorded for it though. As to whether the animation/art was carried through or why it was not made into a final finished episode...who knows...

Its not really surprising, there were probably tons of episode scripts in early form that they wound up abandoning before they decided to fully produce the episode. Perhaps "Shredder in Love" was a little further along but they decided not to animate it for whatever reason.
One day it would be interesting to ask David Wise if he knows of any episode scripts that were planned but rejected.

I gotta admit though it would have been cool if they included the sound recording for it ("Shredder In Love") though and included it the DVD/Blu-Ray disc. :ohwell:

We've discussed both of these issues several times already, and there's nothing new under the sun. Shredder in Love probably never even got half as far along as Ninja Tribunal's "Nightmares Recycled". That said, we'll have a better chance getting a Nightmares Recycled audio only release given it being more recent, despite holding more episodes in an environment where digital copy and streaming via the current DVD releases is a great alternative. The future with the OT is simply nostalgia with the occasional cameo (Next season in the Nick series). Shredder in Love was written around the same time as Menace, Maestro please. I myself recently won a copy of that episode's script on eBay and found that Act III was completely re-imagined from the first draft (no April/Irma DiD plot) and many places switched characters upon revisions Who knows if/where the audio track exists. The producers were likely unhappy with the plot finding it too silly to be appropriate and was cancelled.

I wonder if "Shredder in Love" was intended to be a sequel to "Green with Jealousy" and had the love potion affect Shredder in that episode.
I keep having the bad feeling Shredder was going to fall in love with April...which sounds like awful fanfiction.
"Shredder's in Love"... Shredder =/= Shakespeare. :tgrumble:
