Shipping is a legitimate part of fandom, particularly amongst properties that attract a female demographic which Nick TMNT clearly has done. Please stop berating those who engage in it. To me, trying to run shipping off this board is no different than trying to run off the female fandom all together, and that is unacceptable. You can chose not to post in threads that do not appeal to you. I do it all the time.

To answer the question, I really haven't thought about it much. I usually think about TMNT characters in their own universe, it's hard for me to mix them with characters outside of it because it has its own flavor and vibe that doesn't go well with a lot of other stories.

I hesitate to say that I 'ship' -- I mostly just find it amusing when other people ship, especially if it is accompanied by good artwork. Artwork which sometimes can get my head spinning :P

For me personally, since it is not strongly implied otherwise I imagine Raph being gay. Of the four turtles, if one were to be gay, he's the one that it fits for the most in my mind. I realize many would scoff or even be offended at this, but it's just an interpretation I have. Maybe Raph x Casey or, heck, if you really want to get crazy, maybe Raph x Fishface (How would that work? How should I know!?)

I just don't take it seriously. Anyone who's offended by shipping or the thought of one of the characters in the TMNT universe being gay should go take a walk. Let those who appreciate it on whatever level have their fun.

Well, if you would like to consider Usagi as not technically a part of the TMNT universe (seeing as he has his own actual comic and story), then yes, I do occasionally like to ship him with Leo. But it's not really a primary pairing of mine as I do have another partner for Leo I much prefer for him within the actual TMNT-verse.

I don't "ship", but I like to think of "What if" screnarios where the Turtles land in different universes/properties and how they would interact with the characters of said universes.

I've said before I have no problem with shipping, i'd be a hypocrite if i did, but there has to be a convincing story around it. We all interpret these things differently but if a story is well written my opinion is go nuts, make your 'ship intentions clear and if people don't want to read it they don't have to.

For me, I dont understand the need to sexualise the TMNT or have them be mutilated or some of the other stuff people seem to be hung up about.
My take is that theyre TMNT, theyre celibant or asexual or something...what kind/what they do with their junk just doesnt come into it for me :tlol:

They fight evil, April and Casey have the "sexytime" so IMO thats enough.

Even though I don't know what this "shipping" is, I have occassionally shipped some lots of figures with non-TMNT characters, most commonly Toxic Crusaders since they were the second most popular Playmates line during TMNT's peak. I've even shipped a Pikachu once.

But with "romantic shipping", I'm going to do it He-Man style:
