What are the quotes/pictures/gifs below user messages called and how do i make one?

That is your signature. You can adjust your signature by visiting the section called "user CP" in the menu bar. It will be under setting and options.

The pictures you see in the signatures are embedded from other websites. You do this by clicking the yellow "insert image" button and entering the URL of your selected image in between the bars that say " ". I hope that helps! :tsmile:

First ever forum and I'm having difficulty sending a pm to another member when I click send mail or pm I get taken to my inbox and there is no history of sent message!

Welcome to the forums! When you're sending a PM, make sure that the box that says "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder" is checked so that you can see your sent PMs. To make it checked by default, go to User CP > Settings & Options > Edit Options and scroll down to the last box in the "Private Messaging" category.
