As much as I love the Ninja Turtles, I can think of certain people in my life that take priority. For instance a special lady friend from high school who I adore with all my heart and my lovable niece and nephew who are just so full of life and energy. I'm also very close with a couple cousins and friends I've made here and there in the course of my life, and I would gladly put the TMNT on the backburner for any of them! Is there anyone in your life who you would set the TMNT aside for?

Considering TMNT is just a hobby, like everything else I like (Batman, videogames, etc) I don't see why it would take over someones life.

People know how to manage their time between life priorities and their fandoms.

Its just like anything else. You have your fanbase, and that may include some of your best friends/relatives, and then your personal lives that usually involves something else. I enjoy sharing TMNT with others, especially with children and others my age who wish to share memories, but there are much finer things in life to discuss than a specialized topic. If someone I knew loved something that I hate (most contemporary pop music and reality TV), I would tell him/her to put aside something for awhile and to talk about something else that is appropriate such as current events, play a game, or go out somewhere.

Of course...only crazy people would put a fictional series before their actual life and the people in it.

THIS. Could NOT have said it better myself~

People who do otherwise either have nothing to put before it or they need to get their priorities straight :teek:

Seems like common sense, but there are some crazies among us. Although, honestly, bringing up this topic of conversation as if it's a bad thing to have actual living people come first in your life is also worrisome.

I could NOT do that. Man, I love pizza. Papa John is my Most used phone number, and probably the only number I call rather than text to!!

As for the priorities thing, of course, it's only a TV show. Come on. Mind you, I would like my girlfriend a lil better if she'd watch it!!

Yes, of course, I would put it aside. I wouldn't abandon it altogether, but there are other things to do besides just watch the Turtles, though they have helped me through a lot of things in my life lately. I don't spend all my time on the computer going to forums. I also read and watch other shows besides TMNT and listen to music.

As far as people, definitely my parents, my brother, and my BF (thought it's awesome that he likes TMNT, too).
