My Mikey and foot soldier have a little white paper folded up inside the package. At first I thought those were in all the original runs of them but when I go to stores I see every Mikey and foot soldier have the paper while nobody else does.
So what is the paper for? I don't want to open mine to find out. And does anyone know if I was right about it just being in Mikey's and the foot soldiers? Or was it in the other packaging for the first runs of them?

It shows how to use their weapons. I opened mine too, thinking it was like the '88 figures, but it just shows you how to use mikes thing to make him go up, and the foot soldiers crossbow  Dont open them for that lol

Yea I did too at first. I had all of them set up in my room and everything, and I hadnt noticed it til I looked at Raph, and Mike's form caught my eye. It was just another reason to want to open them  lol :P It isnt even worth opening them for. How hard is it to pull a string? Or pull back an arrow :P I wonder why Splinter never got one either, he has a bow and arrow, and his does the same as the Foot Soldiers? Meh, whatever lol

I thought teh same thing.
They are tied to the rope, they aren't meant to actually shoot, kinda stupid but cool at teh same time.
Not to ruffle anyone's feathers, but why don't you just open them anyway? The chance of these being worth much down the road are slim to none. Toys are a terrible way to "invest" these days, because a great portion of people buy MOC. Now, I can understand buying 2 of each so you can have such a collection-but it seems a waste to have toys you won't ever really enjoy. Of course. some people like having a boring old collection of "decorations," so if that's what you like, there you go. (I don't mean to offend anyone, so if you are, um...get over it.)

Same here, I've got the carded figures on my wall above my computer and the opened ones on a bookshelf. :D
That I can agree with-and would actually like to have a second MOC set myself just to have like youse guys. (Actually, I did have a second, MOC set sent to me directly from Playmates because I wrote a really nice letter to them months before the release, and they sent 2 of each turtle, 2 of each mini-vehicle, an armored truck, and 2 of each electronic weapon, but I was tight on moolah, and the stuff I didn't give to my fiancee, I returned to Wal-Mart for store-credit to get new MOTU and Star wars stuff.
