View Full Version : What do you hope happens to the characters over the series?

Leo/Ralph/Donnie/Mikey/April/Karai/Casey, all the characters slowly change for the better over the series. For Leo for example, I hope we watch him grow to be a good leader over the series, right now hes still in training pretty much and his brothers need to listen to him more, unlike the last previous series they seem to have trouble with that just cuz hes still working on his leadership, at least it seems that way to me. I really hope they improve his sword skills too, show him getting new moves and get more sword fights in the future. What do you guys hope happens for the characters we all know and love? Sorry, this crossed my mind

Ralph will likely continue to wreck it.

I hope Mikey becomes more focused... yadda yadda yadda all that development jazz XD

(though they can take their time cause I like Mikey the way he is.):D

I just hope that if Mikey learns any crucial lessons in this series that he remembers those lessons and doesn't fall back like he did in 2K3.

But I'm sure all of the characters will develop more as the series progresses.

I see what you did there...:tlol:

I would like to see Leatherhead adapt to having a new life outside of Dimension X over the course of the series. I would like to see him control and deal with his rage, and heal the damage Kraang inflicted on him for nearly 20 years. Michelangelo's friendship plays a large role in his healing process, and I hope we see more of that as well.

I just hope LH returns from Dimension X soon, so that he can be reunited with the Turtles.

I've actually been curious about Dr. Rockwell since his intial debut. Do you think he'll be back? And if so, what sort of role do you think he'll have? I really think it would be interesting to have him back as an ally to the turtles, with his psychic powers. Maybe he can throw explosive monkey poo too, again using psychic powers.

Oh, and has anyone else heard anything about the show having a time progression? It seems like I read that the show was gonna have a point where the turtles would age by a few years, but I can't remember where that was. It could be that I'm also on drugs too, unbeknowingly.....

Honestly, I know this sounds kind of boring (some would say) but I would love to see an episode where they don't have to fight a mutant. It would be great to have just a "silly" episode where the turtles try to do something that involves interacting with humans (like going to an amusement park for example, that COULD be funny). I would just love to see all of the characters interact with each other without furthering the story arch as a whole. I'd rather see a character-driven episode.

That could be treated as a halloween episode.:D

Leo not only becomes a better leader but also has more compassion for the plight of others like a real hero.
Raph starts to see that violence is not the only answer unless it is the only choice and gets a love interest.
Donnie...not sure... I like the whole Donnie/April thing but would like for her to not to his "kryptonite".
Mikey becomes more focused, better judge of character, and gets a love interest.
April becomes a skilled fighter, has more interaction with Leo, Raph, Mikey, and other characters other then Donnie and Casey.
Splinter gets out more often, on missions, or just to see the city.

I had an idea for an episode that is pretty dumb and will most likely never happen :D...Leo wants to go to Comic Con to see the Space Heroes panel, but he knows he can't since he's a mutant and all. Donnie tells him all about cosplay (which he discovered via the internet) and the guys decide to go to Comic Con dressed as the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (Mikey makes the name up, but everyone says that it sounds like the name of a cartoon...wink wink nudge nudge) So yeah they go to the con and whatnot and soon after April comes down into the lair with a bag from a toy store and tells them to turn the T.V to channel whatever. They see a cartoon show called "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and everyone is super excited, but they claim they "stole their idea". April then pulls out action figures of the four turtles from the bag and tells them that the show has become a world wide phenomenon. The characters in the show are completely ridiculous looking compared to the turtles themselves....like the 2k3 turtles almost...extremely buffed up and they're like completely invincible and stuff like that  The show is so popular that they even make a toddler version of it, which would be like Dora with the OT turtles (Which Raph secretly likes to watch) :D

Okay fan dream over.

Hahaha, that actually sounds entertaining. I could dig an idea like that.

I would like to see the characters really develop their relationships with each others. For example we've seen how Leo and Raph work and function as a pair. We've seen how Donnie and Mikey work and function as a pair.

And we've only had glimpses of the other four pair ups and it would be good to develop them more.

Another think I believe will happen is the Turtles will lose the Lair they've lived in their whole lives. Panic in the Sewers has proven their subterranean home is not as safe as it once was. And even though it is still a place of safety for the time being. There will come a moment where they will have to lose their childhood home.

I know something else I'd really like to see is the turtles travel outside of their normal environment, and into different exotic locations. Across the globe, into space, and/or another dimension would all be really cool to see. Don't get me wrong, I love the streets of NYC, and I wouldn't want to see to many travel episodes (a season or two at the most), but I think it'd be cool to see the turtles having to climb a massive mountain (mutant goat anyone?), trek through a dense jungle (perhaps while being hunted), or travel into Dimension X (which no doubt, we'll see at some point). Some of my personal favorite episodes from 2k3 were the ninja tribunal, turtles in space, and the battle nexus ones. I even enjoyed the Fast Forward episodes, just cause they were something different and new, that took the turtles away from their home. To see the 2012 turtles do something similar I think would be cool. Besides, what better way to get closer as a family, then a road trip!

April becoming Venus.

Maybe we could kill off Splinter late in the series?

I hope the turtles find the heart of the Krang empire because maybe in that episode they will find April's dad. :)

Maybe for laugh the turtles or the others got saved by Spike. :P

Less snarky one-liner humor, more humor based off real character development. More April. More Splinter involved in the action. Less random mutants. More story arc focus.

But that's just personally. To each their own.

I would like to see weapons origin. In all incarnations thus far, we get a mutation origin, and in some of them we get a name origin. But we never receive a moment or explanation as to how they received their trademark weapons.

Donnie losing faith in his bo staff in Metalhead suggested that was not a weapon he had originally wanted. And Splinter did make a point in Baxter's Gambit that the weapon chooses you.

Also I've never seen this done but what if one of the turtles learned they were not blood related to his brothers. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal because turtles hatch from eggs and any of them could be unrelated by blood.

But from the POV of one of the turtles that could be devastating because it would cause him to question his place in the family.
However the only people I can think of as being sick minded enough to do something like that will be Bishop or Dark Donatello.

I think there will be a Turtle Tots episode or two in the new season since they have the Turtles in Training figures. I hope so because I like Turtle Tots.

I have this theory in my head that they're either all have the human half of Splinter or only one of them does. It would be a funny surprise if they had this device that turned them human by suppressing their turtle genes and they just ending looking like human clones. Oh the irony.
