What do you think of him so far? Season is almost over, thought it'd be a good idea to have a thread like this :)

Guys like how they are doing him this series?

I'm excited to see what they'll planning to do with him.:D

I think they've done him great justice. He's got an added level of personality now with him being involved in his fandom, and the fact that he's an awkward kid still coming into his own. He's not quite the real leader yet, he's earning his respect, developing his skills, etc. I like that he tries to crack jokes more often, and that his position has given him a little bit of cockiness that causes him to stumble when he's overly confident. The new traits are very endearing, clearly proven by the fact that many people who once cast him aside as being dull or a goodie two-shoes are now warming up to him. Despite all of the new quirks he has, he still feels perfectly Leo. I love what they've done with him.

He's probably my favorite Leo, because they leave the whole hapless stick-in-the-mud leader stuff from some previous incarnations, and add layers of nerdy to give him a bit more character and make him less one note.

He's my favorite Leo too. There are shades of his personality that reminded me of his past incarnations, but I really appreciate they are scaled down and allowed his character to be relatable. He's not just the leader guy.

My favorite Leo so far, better than the rest.

I love this Leo because he's laid-back and people can relate to him more than in past incarnations. I like how he's younger and still learning to be a great leader as well as his love of Space Heroes and how he idolizes Captain Ryan. He's just so awesome.

Alright now that I am not sleep deprived, I can maybe give a real answer on Leo. What I really like about this Leo is that they made him to be a earnest kid. He wants to do the right thing but sometimes he just gets caught up in trying to be cool. Also now that they trying to depict him as a teenager, he seems much more innocence and slightly naive of the outside world.

I totally agree with this. Before Karai came along I wasn't warming to Leo as much as I have with the others. The conflict he has not only with himself, but with his brothers when they find out has made me like him a lot more.

This part that I've bolded is especially true for me. 2k12 Leo is kinda why I gave the other Leo's a chance. I figured that they would have the quirks that 2k12 Leo has. Unfortunately they didn't, mostly being a strict and stubborn leader who butt's heads with Raph often (although, I have to admit, "Leonardo v.s. Tempestra" was one of the reasons I started liking OT Leo, since it showed him on the lighter side.)

2k12 Leo is my favorite Leo hands-down. As previous posters have said, he has really made me look at Leonardo closer and realize the burden of leadership that he bears. The responsibility that is on his shoulders. A lot of reasons why I love this Leo have already been mentioned: the added element of his being a Space Heroes fanboy, his cockiness, his attempts at jokes and heroic lines, etc. He's so akward at times that its adorable!

Leo used to be my least favorite turtle because of how dull and boring he was, but the Nick version of him is great, he's now my second favorite turtle (the first being Donnie, of course :P). I just love that all of the turtles actually act like teenagers now.

He's definitely my favorite Leo so far! I love how they gave him more personality. This Leo isn't just a leader who reaches to be the best, always trying to be Splinters favorite. He feels more like a normal teenager who wants to have fun and does mistakes. And the Space Heroes fanboy thing is just downright adorable.

Needless to say 2k12 Leo made me love him more than ever before.

I love 2012 Leo. He's my favorite Leo of all time. And Jason Biggs really nails his voice. And it's cool to see him growing into the leader that we all know he will become.

I've always liked Leonardo as my favorite turtle, but this version takes the cake.:tcool: I just love how balanced he is from his brothers. Just like all three of them, he is smart, strong, and very funny. I must admit - this is the first time I've seen Leo use tons of puns on this show. Some that I have loved are, "Raph, if you keep breaking your toys, we're not going to buy you new ones," or "Look! It's sushi that delivers itself!" It seems he's better at jokes than at catchphrases. Maybe he's a jokester, too . . . except he's more responsible.:toops: Anyways, he still has a good heart filled with honor, and I am happy that he would mostly put his brothers first in life. What he said back at Karai that time - "You come after them, I'll come after you." Wow. Seriously. That's a real catchphrase.:tcool:

What I also love about this Leo is the fact that he's still the serious and fearless leader we know and love, but with a teenaged side (not to mention, geeky).:twink: I just love him during Space Heroes. I am so waiting for an episode where he actually refers to something he saw on one episode of Space Heroes and his brothers don't believe him (and it ends up working out).:tlol: That would be hilarious. Still, I love that he's really developing as a leader. He's not just basing himself off of Captain Ryan, but he is mostly being himself, questioning what is wrong or right. He's a good leader, but he's still has a lot to learn from Splinter (as long as it doesn't involve having his weapons confiscated again).:tlol:

I might have mentioned the same details before, but what can I say? He's just one cool dude. A honorable, understandable, and dorky dude. Just how I like them.:twink: Why Peter Laird never made Leo this way, I will never know. Thank you Ciro Nieli.

I do have to say they've done a great job with Nick 2012 Leo. They've definitely build him from a perspective we haven't seen before. Until the recent episodes I would say he was my favorite version of Leo, but I was quite disappointed with his role in the Pulverizer (and to some extent the enemy of my enemy) in which Donatello seemed more of a leader than he did. (Which made Don now my favorite turtle of the '12 version)

2012 Leo also sometimes comes across as a bit cold/unlikeable lately, although I can't really put my finger on it.

My other favorite version of Leo is probably the 2k3 version. After rewatching several episodes lately he does seem to have more depth to his character/personality than I thought in the past. Although he often seems to put that aside for his leadership role.

Anyway, 2012 is a great and interesting character, he is the most relatable and I especially like how they put several traits together. (Strong fighter, loves Spaceheroes, can be a bit clumsy/nerdy, yet can kick some butt and shows he really can lead when needed) Some of my favorite episodes with him were just before and around the time Karai showed up. He can have a pretty unique sense of humor as well.

I think is a good incarnation but I do feel that he is a little too cold. Also for a character who wishes to be a hero he does and says some un heroic things for example he was the last person to want to rescue April and her father when they were being kidnapped. He didn't seem to care that April was being attacked by Karai even though it was his fault that she was the target and that Karai was angry at him. But otherwise he is the more interesting incarnation though unlike other versions he might not be my favorite.

That one episode where he betrayed Karai trying to kill Shredder (eventhough they agreed on a truce, working together!)... that just.. INFURIATED me on how stupid he was. :x Way to go on loosing a potential ally. Yet it showed how naive he is, a teenager learning from his mistakes.

I love that Leo is not always right. He has flaws, and is more relatable than ever. :D

He's great. A good mix of all incarnations to date I think. Just like the rest of them.

I don't think he's being too cold. He just doesn't tolerate something going wrong, I guess. One thing that I probably think he's cold in is during Pulverizer Returns. But don't blame him. Blame the writers. Nobody, except Donnie, had any good development in that one. Besides, maybe it's just because he cares more for his brothers than anybody else. I think he also cared that April was being attacked, but again, had his brothers to think about.

That was one thing I enjoyed. But ally or not, I would have done the same. Shredder is a deranged psychopath. Eventually, he'd have to face the consequences. Plus, don't forget, both Raph and Don agreed to this plan. So much for the Genius being smart there, too. But, I wasn't angry that this happened. I was shocked. But here's the thing. They're all naïve, and none of them even knew Karai was Shredder's daughter. It's mostly Leo's fault for going with this plan, but it's all their fault for coming up with this.

Man. Everytime I hear something about this episode, you make me think it was a bad one. Are we suddenly getting negative here?

The episode was good, and many loved it, as well. I'm just baffled that they liked it, but found that the turtles were stupid in their decision. I don't know. Is it wrong to say that the whole plan was entirely stupid? Because, I didn't think it was.:tconfuse:

Other than that, when has Leo been cold? Seriously. It's a kids show. Besides that, maybe we should stop finding something wrong with a character and accept for who they are (unless they're evil).

He's not cold to me. He's hot! I mean..

About the Pulverizer episode, Leo said "he wanted to be a mutant, and he got his wish". I sense no 'coldness' in what he said. I might have said that as well; the Pulverizer wanted to be a mutant so much and he got it. Now he is.

Fans were a lot colder than Leo about the whole Pulverizer mutation, let's be honest. :D

Leo from the comics is my fav, but as far as the shows go, 2k3 would be next in line for the top spot. After re watching a few episodes, I was reminded how trusting that version was and how he'd make mistakes too.

However, that being said, what I really, really love about the 2k12 version is that you can just see this was Leo, just younger, before becoming jaded and hardened. He is really endearing and often makes mistakes and questions himself. He is just so ernest and determined to do what's honorable in the show.

What can I say? He's adorable.

I like how TMNT12 gave Leo a bit more sense of humor.. And the fact that now he has an idol who he tries to copy sometimes with some hero phrases..
On the other hand I loved Leo 2k3 TMNT obsession for ninjitsu and that is a flaw that I think this this Leo, 2012, should have too, because it´s like his brand image and it´s what connected him so much with splinter...
