Ever notice you don't see him press any button inside the suit when he is walking around the technodrome or picking up objects? As a kid, I thought the body had a mind of it's own. For example, when Krang waves his tentacles in anger, the robot arms will move as well.

They usually show his tentacles pulling control sticks in the stomach.

I like to think he does, but it honestly depends on who's drawing the episode.

nope he has controls inside that he uses. Same way the turtles use the android body in the final episode.

might be a bit of both, joysticks and buttons for the basic movements and brain power for more advanced stuff

How Krang's android body was controlled was inconsistent during the series. Sometimes you would see Krang pressing buttons and controls to operate it. However, the android also displayed the ability to function without Krang even inside of it. There was an episode where Shredder commanded the android to run and catch Krang while he was flying through the air.

Yeah the Android body seemed to have some AI, but it was probably no smarter than a Foot Soldier.

They disappear on the reg, though.

They adjust like you car steering wheel maybe? ;) go up and down... I do think the Body has AI as well so as times it doesn't need to be controlled.

Krang's body can move on its own like in a few episodes where Krang was in his bubble-walker and somehow the body came up in a transport module. Too bad they didn't use that more often as Krang could've come to Earth in Season 4 that way. It also explains some of the complex moves it would make like running or even the Flying Claw from the last episode. It also pulled the sheet off its head while Krang was still unconscious in "Shredder and Splintered".

Yeah, why make a production of putting Krang in the body if he just has to use the controls and why would he be disoriented? Just stick him in and let him get started pushing buttons and moving levers.

In Shredder & Splintered, a more detailed version of the body in the stomach was shown, with lots more buttons than just that joystick. I wonder if Krang somehow presses those buttons, they're just never shown for the rest of the show.
