View Full Version : Will Metalhead ever be used again?

When Metalhead was announced to be in this show I had high hopes that it would be used every so often or have a role, but it looks like Metalhead is being treated similar to the original toon.
In the original show, Metalhead got one major episode (like the Nick show), and afterward only had one more appearance where Donatello used him as a vaccume cleaner. That's right, Metalhead's second appearance in the OT was him being used as a vauume cleaner. :roll:
It seems in the Nick show its suffering a similar fate, with it just being stacked in Don's lab with him ocassionally operating on it with his computer. Do you think it'll get another major role?

i think they might use him in season 2 since we're already near the finale of season 1.
The first season isn't even over, damn. They clearly haven't forgotten about him since he shows up in the background every now and then.

Yeah but he came as early as episode 6, so they had 18 more episodes to use him in some capacity.
If he's not used in the finale I hope they don't just forget about him by Season 2.

speaking of which,how many cameo's did metalhead had in the nick series so far aside from his full appearance in episode 6.
I think unlike the FW series, there's actually reasoning behind the lack of usage in this version.
Obviously in the original Metalhead story, they were all almost killed after Donnie lost control of it. The whole way the Kraang took control of Metalhead showed how dangerous it could be if taken for granted which was basically the first episode that started the whole character development of Donatello's "being responsible for my decisions" which of course has played through multiple times as the show has progressed.
I do personally think Metalhead will be used again, but it'll be done with reasons of desperation and pure need.
He has a toy, so probably

Probably in small capacity. In my son and I's Turtle Adventures we had a sentient being called "Zork" take over Metalhead thus making him an A.I. instead of just a remote control drone.
It would be cool to make a Johnny 5 is alive" type of episode.

Gosh I hope so! I'm a bit of a robot nerd and I love the new incarnation of Metalhead. I hope they find a way to bring him back at least for a second episode. If not at least we get a really rad redesign and action figure out of it.

Karai doesn't and she has had four appearances. Mutagen Man has had two, yet is toy less. Maybe Spiderbytez and C. Terminator were designed as toys first and shoehorned into the show.

I wouldn't care that much, but it would be nice to see him return for an episode or two. Aslong as they make it better then his debut episode and they don't rerun it as much as the debut episode. :teek:

I hope so... He'll probably be used in a much later episode though... I can see them trying to introduce a lot of other characters and assets as well, so maybe we'll see Metalhead again like halfway into season 2 or 3.
I see him returning in an episode where he gains sentience or something like that. Definitely not as a regular appearing part of the cast though.

I'm of the opinion various plot threads, such as Karai now knowing roughly where the hideout is, is going to lead to an attack on the lair during the finale. If that occurs I can see Metalhead either being seized by Kraang again or being sent out with a limited AI to give the Turtles time to escape.

Metalhead can be used for bomb disposals, or if a big showdown comes up it could provide extra manpower.
But as an independent character? Unless it gets an AI or something I don't think it's going anywhere.

Don't worry... He'll be back. His exit has to be a set up for something... Personally I have a theory that he'll return in the finale when the Turtles infiltrate TCRI.

That's just because most kids rather play with a metal robot-turtle than a human.

Yea, I was wishing Metal Head was used more, but I guess Donny has to find a way to keep MH out of the Kraang's control.

Dude, this season is only 22 episodes deep. In the Original series, most supporting characters only got a few episodes each. And some only got one. The new series is already doing a better job at continuity and reusing characters that have already been introduced. Just be patient.
