Ninja Turtles custom sprites

I made these from scratch and used the colors from the art on the official site. They are Neo Geo Pocket Color (fighting game) sprites with full coloring. Enjoy!

Sure go for it. Just make sure you give me credit for the site stuff. I dont' care if you use it in a sig or avatar as long as you don't say you made it and judging from what I seen on the board you aren't the kind of person who would do that. So go right ahead.

It's better than some of the game graphics I used to see, when 2D animation was the big deal. Now its nearly all 3D vector drawn stuff, too technical for my blood.

Well sorta. I've made sprites for home made games that someone either asks me to help them with is a friend with a project. I sometime makes my own games as well, but I use Games Factory because I don't know how to program. I'm a novice with 3D art, but I made some cool stuff. My TMNT could have turned out better I suppose but you can tell it's a Ninja Turtle and that's what is important. My best work is my original character. Maybe I'll put up some picks sometime, but I'd prefer not to because someone might steal my idea and that would suck.

I tried experimenting with these new ones, but they were facing the same direction as the "Turtles in Time" sprites, so I couldn't get the right effect I wanted. I may however try a different set up some time.

The darker brown, and a red (Mirage-style) head band. Thanks alot, as a fellow spriter I can understand being protective of your work, and it's really cool of you to let us all take advantage of these beauties.

To answer your question. I used an image from the new series (for color reference) and a Ryu NGPC fighter sprite for size reference and made Leonardo. Then I used Leo to make the rest of the turtles by changing the colors, weapons, facial expressions, and hand gestures.

I did most of the stuff from memory judging from the new series images and toys. Then I threw in a little of my own style (I always make sprites with Mikey having his tounge out for instance - when I make all four that is). So basically I made them from scratch.
