Casey Jones revealed!

The Hollywood Reporter has posted a new article about Nick's various Comic-Con panels. (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/comic-con-nickelodeon-sets-legend-576484) Now, the most interesting thing about this is that they show a new limited edition SDCC exclusive poster focusing on none other than Casey Jones! That's right, we finally have an idea of what he's going to look like on the Nick show! Not only that, but they also reveal his voice actor: Josh Peck of Drake and Josh fame! Sounds like Casey's gonna be a big focus in Season 2!

This would've got me so excited....If we Actually WENT BACK TO THE MAIN PLOT AFTER 5 Episodes of Filler but none the less, still excited for Casey Jones :)

I guess I'm just sad that this whole season could've been amongst the best in TMNT History with IDW's Best arc 'City Fall' and a new Game coming out but the Nick Cartoon seems to be taking a back seat in this case the past few months when they should be the MAIN 'Thing' like the 1987 Series was to everything else.

Hopefully the Season 1 Finale will be beyond amazing to bring everyone back. :)

Ok if Casey look any thing like that is the show. Then I now two things. One he is going to be a bit crazy and have some really huge anger propels. I mean more then what we have seen of late. I mean he is going to be worst then Raph on a a bad day.
The other is I see very little chance they will do any thing with April and Casey.They may do some thing if they get older but if they stay under 20's. I will bet money they will not be that close.

I'm surprised they didn't cast Feldman in this role. I thought for some reason that he'd been confirmed for it. That poster could be pure promotion; the 1987 cartoon and Archie series were the only takes on TMNT in which April and Casey weren't romantically involved (that I can think of, anyway). And that's assuming that he and April weren't involved in the '87 show behind the scenes. He wasn't in the Archie series.

Its a very detailed drawing, the CGI models will be a lot more simple, and will most likely fit in lot more.

I agree with this...I think everyone's getting excited about the design for nothing. I guarantee that most of the details on him won't be on his actual show model...remember the early concept art of the other characters that were just like this? In the show most of the little details were taken away. Besides, I can barley see what Casey looks like there.

Its an ACTUAL goalie mask design (with some skull paint highlights) . I love it, its way more realistic than the flat top, three slits mask from the past.

Took another look at the poster today. Initially, I saw the sword and thought it might be Leo's so the "Kappa Assassin Squad" to me meant a squad of assassins that target kappa. Now, with Raph in the background, I'm thinking the sword could be just a foot soldier's and the "kappa assassin squad" means a squad of assassins LED by kappa. Perhaps it is a hint at Casey and Raph going on their own, taking out thugs.

Not for nothin' but he may very well be a pretty boy underneath that mask. He may as well dress like a regular jock kid when he's not playing vigilante, ya never know. I'm not into the love interest thing either, though.

This sounds great, I bet we're going to see at least some kind of jealous Donnie - if April is interested in Casey, that is. I'm just so used of seeing 2k3 April with the 2k3 Casey that it's kind of difficult to picture this badass and a bit older looking Casey with the.. young? looking April. So we'll just have to wait and see how Casey's going to look.

I'm really not looking forward to the inevitable love triangle between Donnie, April and Casey, though. It's really difficult to create a love triangle while avoiding cliches and because of that I think love triangles drag good shows down (think: Legend of Korra). Honestly, I wasn't a big fan of "Monkey Brains" because it spent too much time on Donnie's crush. I think it is. I noticed it says "A Kappa Assasin Squad Release, Coming Soon". I think Kappa Assasin Squad is a ploy off of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Mutant Turtles representing Kappa, and Ninja representing Assasin Squad.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with Casey. I wouldn't mind seeing a few episodes with him as a rival/bad guy for our precarious group of reptiles.

Damn, I am so excited for Casey to show up. But I gotta admit, my excitement is really dampened by the whole obvious Don/Casey weirdness that's going to ensue. I can't see someone that age covering themselves in spikes and sports equipment like that and going out and handing out justice alone in the streets of NY. I figure he's going to be at least a few years older than that, and that starts to get into a very awkward age difference for a romance. I could see the April crush on him, but not reciprocated. And yes, I know Karai is around that age, but shes been trained to be a ninja since birth by the friggin Shredder!

Meh, I can go either way with his crush. Like you said, "it was love at first sight" that was caused (this is just my guess) by the fact that she's the first girl Donnie's ever met/seen. Hey, all the writing in Legend of Korra was within the range from fine to pretty @#$% good. Just the romance in it was a little bit of fan-wank. And lets be honest, it was there to fill the void of the Zuko/Katara shippers.

Anyway back to the point, I really couldn't care about this whole love triangle thing because I have seen a numerous times of how these things played out and they almost never get any closure. Same can be said about Karai/Leo and god knows the longer that goes on, the more awkward it becomes for every one.

True, what we've seen thus far is all one-sided on Donnie's part - but there's nothing to suggest that April wouldn't possibly return his affection in time. It's all a guessing game as of now.

And they can handle the romance angle without turning it into a teeny-bopper show. Look at the first Avatar series for example, they handled a good deal of romantic angles without compromising the main action-and-humor base of the story.

As far as what they've done with Donnie in this one, we'd just have to agree to disagree on that I think. This is probably my favorite incarnation of Donatello, who was always just kind of the '4th Turtle' for me in everything else (though I've recently become quite fond of his OT incarnation too). But in this version, he's my favorite character, and a lot of that is that they've finally shown him as having interests outside of tech stuff. And if that interest has to be romance based - well, that's fine with me.:P But I can understand why it'd rub someone who liked other incarnations of Donnie much better the wrong way though.

The romance in the Legend of Korra was horrible! Honestly that show was a HUGE disappointment. Back on topic, though...seeing how romance is already taking over this discussion board, I really hope it doesn't take over the show or *shudder* the entire Nick TMNT fandom.

Eh, I blame the writers trying to fill the desires of the huge Zuko/Katara shippers than trying to let Mako and Korra's relationship fit together naturally. The whole "waterbender lusting over a firebender stud making him cheat to his girlfriend" was a staple in most zutara fics.

And the season is ending... and there's really no romance going on between Don and April so no worries.

I think the major problem with the legend of korra love is that Mako cheated on his girlfriend and got with Korra for no reason.

Both of them. I'm nitpicking really. I got used to Donnie's, but I wasn't expecting Casey to have both front teeth missing. I know he's a hockey player, but Idk. Nitpicking like I said.

i understand, im not crazy about it either, but then again im not crazy about casey as a character in general so maybe thats why im not too bothered. i guess if they make a design change to a character someone enjoys, theres going to be some people who dont like it

We all hated Karai's design before we saw her animated, I'm sure Casey will be the same.

It actually makes sense Casey would be missing teeth. Even if he wasn't a hockey player, a guy that goes out and fights like he does on the street more than likely would eventually get some teeth knocked out. I'm surprised Casey hasn't been portrayed with missing teeth before this.

It first time that they made Casey look a little ugly too. In the others, he either look hot or just plain enough in which you don't really think about it.

I bet they'll meet and fight out, just like in the comic and first movie.

They've been faithful to first encounter experiences - like Shredder in The Gauntlet (taken from the first comic's epic battle) and saving April from robots/enemies (mousers in comic and 2k3, gangsters in OT and movie), so it'll most probably be similar as well. :)

Speaking of Casey Jones, Nieli rolled some clips from the character's first appearance in the show. He rescues April from Mutagen Man, plays some hockey and even sports a goalie blocker with the name "Laird" written up the side.

"We have April at a young age so we set Casey a little older," Nieli explained. "He's the same Casey we know, only we start with him a little earlier in the storyline. His grades aren't going well and he needs April to help him. He also sometimes paints his face because he's terrifying and weird. Josh Peck voices him, who was born in Hell's Kitchen but lives in New York -- he's totally into hockey, too."

That quote would insinuate that Raph or Casey is running from the fight...yeah, I don't see that.

Now if that's from the episode where Leo, Mikey, & Raph are fighting Mutagen Man, which Donnie not with them, that scene where April is behind Casey in the trailer could be Donnie confronting him for the first time.

Oh I can see it now:

Casey: You want her? Come get some!

Donnie: With pleasure! (Draws his Bo)

Casey: A stick huh? I like your style...you got that going for ya. (Draws his hockey stick) But you don't want none of this!

Donnie: Actually it's "You don't want ANY of this!". No wonder you're failing in school.

Casey: (Looks to April) Seriously...if hang out with this freak?

April: He's not a freak. And trust me Casey, he'll make you look stupid in more ways than one.

Then saying said quote in the trailer if Donnie escapes with April by tricking him.

Then when Raph meets Casey, Raph's personality compared to Donnie's would be a breath of fresh air.
