I love this show, but I also love to nitpick and there are a few things that I'm confused about.
Like...
How did the turtles get back from the sewage plant at the end of the Leatherhead episode?
How are they using the Shellraiser without the powercell?
What does Shedder do besides sitting around and threatening people?
How does Mikey's nunchucks become kurisgamas? (seriously. this makes no sense)
How exactly does a world famous martial artist turn into a giant dog and no one reacts?
Where is Spike?
Why doesn't Donnie use the blade at the end of the bo staff?
Speaking of the blade, if they updated Donnie's weapon, what was the point of the whole Metalhead episode?
And most importantly, WHERE ARE ALL OF THE PEOPLE IN NY????
Again, these are just minor stuff that I noticed, no big deal. But I'm sure there's more. If you notice any other plotholes or have answers to some of my questions, feel free to comment.

I think it has been well discussed that the night scenes takes places in the areas in New York that actually are pretty empty at night. They don;t have t be cruising and kicking Ninjas in the hearth of NY.

Nothing you listed there is really a plothole.

Okay, here are my answers:
1. It's a cartoon. Sometimes, you don't need an explanation as to how they got back.
2. I think there was a scene omitted from one of the episodes where it's explained how the Shellraiser works. I think it has something to do with electric wiring. I think Kenny answered this on his blog somewhere.
3. Don't know the answer to this one and really don't care. I think he's biding his time until an epic showdown with Splinter.
4. I think he pushes a button on his nunchucks that releases the chain and blade from a compartment inside. That's what it looks like when he uses it.
5. Once again, it's a cartoon. Sometimes things can't be explained. Besides, Bradford probably doesn't go out in public anymore except for missions anyway, so no one would even notice.
6. Spike was seen in "Karai's Vendetta" along with another episode of Space Heroes. You can see Raph feeding him.
7. I don't know the answer to this one, but I do agree that he should use it more for battle and less for comic relief.
8. Episodes have been aired out of order so that's why you see Don's blade in some eps and not in others.
9. This has been explained that not all areas of NY are heavily populated, and the Turtles have probably been in the less populated areas of the city.
Hope that clears things up for you.

To answer Question 7 - Yes, he does use his blade now and then for battle. The only one I remember the most was from the high school Kraang battle in "The Alien Agenda."

This isn't Young Justice, where everything is connected and explainable. This cartoon just isn't meant to be like that.
And that last one is because 3D modeling is expensive and they don't have time or money to design 300 unique citizens.

Spike exists the same way April and Mutagen man does. When they're relevant to the episode they're shown, when they're not nobody brings them up.
1) Why does almost every mutant as of late turn out a mindless beast?
2) Where is Karai's toy? (And don't give me the "She's a girl" excuse, the roach and wasp (and of course April) are girls and they have toys!)
3) Were there any charcters designed by Playmates first?

Well, just because there was an April toy doesn't necessarily mean it sold well.
I'm not saying it didn't sell well; it's just a possibility.

Just saw the April figure the other day at store, her face is funny and ugly looking. Wouldn't buy.
Slight nitpick having watched the episode earlier, in Panic in the Sewers, the water balloon that Mikey hits Donnie with starts as a yellow balloon, but when the shot changes the balloon is blue when it hits Donnie in the face.
Shocking nobody on the chew picked that up.

my only nitpick is Donnie and April being paired off all the time.
(as in interacting the most: talking, calling, saving)
I don't mean in a shipping way :D
I know Don likes April...but the writers should really let her have more moments with the other turtles....
(it seems small...but it's a major problem for me......)

The roach and wasp(s) aren't girls. They're genderless (as we know of).

Yeah, it not like they're in Time Square where it's bustling 24-7.

They both laid eggs.

I would mind seeing Raphael interaction but more in a of a odd couple dynamic.

You know, I'm really getting sick of hearing the "It's a cartoon" excuse to get things off the hook with plotholes and things that don't make sense. It only works for show like The Proud Family where they don't even bother trying to make sense to begin with and the writers treat it like it's a Looney Toons cartoon.
Anyways, to answer your questions:
"How did the turtles get back from the sewage plant at the end of the Leatherhead episode?"
I think they just ended up in a very unfamiliar part of the sewer. I was abit confused at first too, but once I realized that it could just be another part of the NYC sewers, it made alittle bit more sense to me.
---
"How are they using the Shellraiser without the powercell?"
I'm sure Donatello has his ways of powering up the Shellraiser with other things.
---
"What does Shedder do besides sitting around and threatening people?"
Villains have a knack of talking the talk and not walking the walk simply because the writers want to do more with villain characters. Dogpound and Fishface are meant to be the Bebop and Rocksteady of the show. If Shredder killed them off quickly, then I'm sure alot of kids will be dissapointed.
---
"How does Mikey's nunchucks become kurisgamas? (seriously. this makes no sense)"
I thought the blade and chain were hidden inside the tip of one of the ends of the nunchucks. (Sorry, don't know what they are called. XD)
---
"How exactly does a world famous martial artist turn into a giant dog and no one reacts?"
I once saw someone make a theory saying that the Foot have their ways of controlling the media. So it would most likely be that the Foot covered up Bradford's mutation by saying something like he has gone on a journey to find himself or some crap.
---
"Where is Spike?"
He appears on and off in some episodes, much like alot of things
---
"Why doesn't Donnie use the blade at the end of the bo staff?"
Good question. Maybe that's why he's on the B team. XD
---
"Speaking of the blade, if they updated Donnie's weapon, what was the point of the whole Metalhead episode?"
The whole point was to show that Donnie's Bo Staff isn't as useless as everyone thinks it is and that if he went to using something else to fight his battles for him, he would see just as much, if not less results that he gets with his Bo staff.
---
"And most importantly, WHERE ARE ALL OF THE PEOPLE IN NY????"
Most of the times the Turtles come out onto the surface is at night time, where no one really is out since obviously they can't go in the daytime where there are lots of people out. Take "I, Monster" for example where there are actually daytime scenes and not to mention The Turtles actually go out in the daytime. You can see clear as day that there are people wandering the streets of New York. And besides, we don't need scene after scene of the Turtles trying to hide from real people or people seeing that they are hideous and freaking out over them. That would be monotonous.

The thing that drives me crazy and seems to be completely forgotten is that the turtles got ahold of an entire canister of Mutagen in "Monkey Brains" and it hasn't appeared or been mentioned since.
Hopefully they creative team is keeping that up their sleeves for later.

Xever's flashbacks in "Baxter's Gambit" showed Shredder in a business suit. I'm sure we'll see more of him as the show goes on though.
But yes, "Metalhead" was a ridiculous episode. I mean, Donnie constantly knocks the sh*t out of Kraang-droids in every episode, but now all of the sudden it barely makes their heads turn when he hits them?
And don't even get me started on the "he's gotta have a weak spot" thing, when the squishy, pink, little bastard was sitting right there on his head.

A big one I feel is worth remarking upon is the bit where Dogpound orders Baxter Stockman to use April's cell-phones GPS tracker to locate the Turtles' lair. Stockman should have realized that GPS trackers don't work underground.
Overall, however, the conflict with the Kraang leaves the most questions open. One thing I wonder is why nobody has become suspicious of them unless they cross their paths first and a conflict is inevitable, because those human disguises of the Kraang are not very convincing, and furthermore, identical. Someone should see that as eery. Also, what exactly were the Kraang waiting for, in terms of getting April? Was finding her school really that hard? Is there a reason they can't just send reinforcements to her school to grab her again? A reason they don't attack her aunt's house? Do the turtles see any incentive to keep her down in the lair now that they know the Kraang want to nab her?
1) Why are the roach and wasp getting toys?
2) How long is the distance of a Kraang gun's shot?

1: the roach is a badass character. We don't even know about the wasp toy yet, seriously.
2: Please stop being a complete idiot.

I saw that!
I think in the first episode when they're chasing Snake over the rooftops Mikey switches between being the last and first turtle.
This still doesn't compare to there being FIVE turtles on the rooftop in the first '87 episode.

To answer my own question, it's been implied in Baxter's Gambit (Xever's flashback) and Karai's Vendetta ("My father is in kitchen utensils. Knives, mostly") that Shedder is a business man. Maybe he runs the Bradford Dojos.

Well I think he has a private jet and they don't grow on trees.

In the episode Metalhead, if Donnie was tired of his wooden staff breaking, why didn't he just make one out of metal? It's simpler, it's much less time consuming, and you won't have to worry about it malfunctioning or trying to kill you.

Seriously. Why do we always have to find plot holes? It's a cartoon. Besides, aren't there plot holes in almost everything? What about the OT series? You can't tell me that there were no plot holes in that. I know there were. I've got a feeling.:twink:

There were tons. But hey it's fun to speculate about plot holes and such in our favorite series. We should do one for the 80s series too b

It's just fun sometimes. It's like Rule 34, but for nitpicking. "If a plot hole exists, no matter the source material or how inconsequential the hole, there will be numerous internet threads about it. And probably a dozen Cracked.com articles, too."
And didn't someone do one for plot holes in the '80s show? I'd swear they did.
ObiWanFan: I know for a fact there was just a debate about Donnie having a metal bo, like, two weeks ago. Someone less lazy than me, please help this fellow out with a link.
