Hey, this has probably been asked before, but does anyone have any info on the CBS series that aired around the time of Next Mutation? It was a cartoon, not live action. Does anyone know any links regarding it? I liked it a lot... Oh, and if I am right, it aired right before or after "Weird Al Show."

Thanks a lot...

Ryan

The series which you are speaking of was the "original" TMNT cartoon. It was the last few seasons commonly known around here as "the Red Sky episodes". They did a big overhall on the animation to make it fit in with the other hero cartoons of the time (ie. Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, X-Men, etc.) and gave the show some continuaty. Sadly the show really got too confusing and bogged down with dumb things like aliens, excessive mutants, the turtles losing their ninja-esque skills to become "hulky" turtles which couldn't not fight very well at all.

The Next Mutation aired a year or so after the tenth season on the cartoon I believe (I could be wrong though).

Hey I remember those episodes,I have a few on tape!

Next Mutation aired around 97/98,so it had to be the 10th season.

I rented one of the superhero series tapes (Leonardo's) from Blockbuster the other night, and in the beginning there was a little PSA from the Turtles about saying no to drugs and whatnot. It reminded me of a special that aired on CBS back in the early 90's that featured a whole bunch of cartoons from different shows (Tiny Toons, Duck Tales to name a few) and was also was about saying no to drugs. Alas, Michaelanglo was the only Turtle to appear...I don't why the other three weren't in it, perhaps they didn't "just say no" at some pint in their lives? :teek: (Yeah yeah, I know, probably just a VA thing). But anyways, anyone else here remember it? It was 30 min to an hour long...can't remember the title though.

When Mikey came up on the screen, everyone in my class burst out laughing and started talking to each other about the new series. :P

On the subject of why only Mikey was in that health video thing was probably because (at least I think) he was the most popular Turtle at that time

Thanks a lot for clearing that up... Wow, could you imagine how long it would take to get all 10 seasons on DVD? It would still be worth it.

Yeah seriously, I would those no matter what the price in a heart beat. By the way Ryan, where did you get that image of Michealangelo, is it an image from the failed CGI TMNT pilot.

No, if they're only on 17 discs, then they're like mine; .avi files burned onto regular CD's at home, and CHEAP quality, some of them probably scratched like mine.

Yeah it's from the scene where the turtles are fighting these dinosaurs or something. So it is from the CGI movie.

Raph-What are those things!?

Raph-*holds his sais up* I'll do my commuticating with these!
*dinosaur things shoot their guns and explode*

Raph-*coughs* of course..I'll open to suggestions! :tgrumble:

As Kiss My Shell said, it is from CGI pilot. Here is a direct link to the image, and were you can download it! http://www.ninjaturtles.com/html/cgipilot.htm

It is great, I would recommend everyone seen it at least once.

I stopped following the series about the time the "Red Sky" episodes started.I hated the direction they took it,with the Turtles given powers ripped off from the Incredible Hulk and the introduction of Carter.
