View Full Version : What happened to Wingnut & Screwloose?

Last year they revealed the following early production art of Wingnut & Screwloose:

Many people (like me) assumed we would be seeing them in Season 1. With it sounding like they won't appear in the S1 finale tomorrow night, what do you think happened to them? Do you think they scrapped their plans to use them altogether or maybe they weren't going to be used until S2?

I like that their design was a play on Batman and Robin so I hope we get to see them.

It was never confirmed that they'd appear in Season 1...

I don't think anyone was under the impression they were for season 1. They're presumably going to be coming through Dimension X, which will probably be touched upon in the finale but will be a bigger plot point in season 2. Just be patient. I'm dying to see them too.

Were they even confirmed to be in the show at all? Last I knew this was just concept art for characters they might include some day. As much as I want to see that snake guy we saw art for, I doubt all the characters we've seen concept art for will make the cut into the show.

That said, I wouldn't mind being proven wrong about that.

Season 2 most likely. Why would you think every single character would debut early on?

That said, I wouldn't mind being proven wrong about that.

They were confirmed. The designs specified whether or not they were rejected or to be put in use.

Like I said in my original post, it was an assumption on my part (and a few others on the board) that they would show up in Season 1. Considering that every other character that was revealed through production art last year (like W & S) showed up in S1, I didn't think it was a huge leap to think W & S would also be in S1.

Not a big deal, just curious what others thought.

They'll probably be in Season 2 at some point. Don't the Turtles have to go to Dimension X to find Leatherhead eventually? I can see them teaming up during that.

The season 2 preview on another thread shows a quick glimpse, very quick, of someone flying. Could it be them?

I seriously doubt that's him. There's a lot of generic aliens in Season 2 like those xenomorph's.

Wingnut is one of my all time favorites, and though I've loved everyone elses re-design, this one... No.

If that is him, I liked the concept art more.

I doubt that thing is him. It seemed mindless in the trailer.


Also: What about the Triceratons?
