When will they release Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Complete Series Repackage and remastered with all of the episodes in proper order and more bonus features with better video and audio quality?

When and if they announce it. We're not psychics. Nobody said this would even happen.

Uh, I assume you're talking about the OT, correct? If so, don't count on a re release with re mastered episodes and what not...there's no way they'll release the entire series in one package TWICE...well, not for quite some time anyway.

Got the ot dvds, all ten seasons, They dont need to be remaster, they look fine imo. Batman TAS was not remaster, or was Superman for that matter.

The thing I want now is the 2003 series to get the same dvd treatment that the OT got. Its asking a lot right? I loved em both, but I think the 2003 series gets underwhelm in the dvd department.

Yeah. Season 2, part 2, was a rare release and now goes for way too much money.

Its not that, the dvds were put in vols, and yes, rare release's hurt, but they never finish it. You cant get a complete set of dvds of the 2nd Turtles cartoon. If I recall I think the last season or was it the last 2? seasons never got release(Here in America any way)

OT show gets loved, and though I like the Nick toon, that gets loved also DVD wise since there might be a season release. I mean even TNM got a full series release over the 2003 Turtles. :teek: And you know when that happens, thats mess up. Did the TNM do better or what? I hated that show. Some one should have gotting fired over putting the TNM over the 2003 turtles.

I am getting sick of seeing so much threads about DVD Original Toon re-re-releases. Is that all we have to talk about nowadays? Sheesh.

On a similar note, was the OT complete set (in the van) rereleased ? My toys r us had 2 sitting on the shelves yesterday. I thought they were OOP.

I'm not sure we'll ever see another physical release with everything slowly moving to digital copies and streaming, but who knows! If the last release was any indication, some of the older episodes really need a lot of work. And I don't see them bothering with another physical release unless they can offer something new, like restoration.

Yeeeaaah, I'm sort of begging for them to do another set of those. It's crazy how difficult it is to get.

What we got was fine. Plus the Van set isn't rare anymore.

Tell that to eBay where they're still selling for $200+. Yikes!

But you really dont need the van though(I dont) You can always buy the seasons and vols. The dvds are just the same outside of artwork.

It's amazing how much the price of the set rose in the matter of six months since its release (around $70 was its lowest price when on sale around Christmas), meaning that I missed a golden opportunity to make some money. :tcry:

They can always have a second printing (will cause the value of the former to drop), but since the focus is on the now and not the past outside of comics and the Season 3 re-release, its unlikely we'll have a revamped re-release so soon outside of a second printing.

But DVD still has the physical charm that streaming/digital copy lacks, and its still the most injoyable on a large TV screen or a laptop/desktop that includes a DVD drive; not those tablets/smartphones with those small screens!

That said, if you find the boxed Turtle Van at a thrift store or Toys 'R' Us (was it still $99 mgambino?), buy it!

It was listed as 99, but it rang up as 79.99. I'm starting to think I should have grabbed both.

We won't get anything until the rights to the OT is taken from Lionsgate's incompetent hands.

I love reading replies with people saying 'they're ok like they are' or 'it's as good as we are going to get'. I am going to wrap up a turd in a bow and give it to you. I mean that's good enough right?

The reason people are happy is because before Lionsgate we didn't have the eps on DVD at all. We had to work with old VHS tapes from the 90's or bad uploads to the internet.

I remember back in the early 2000's I wanted to rewatch the OT but I couldn't besides the few VHS tapes I had.

The episodes aren't the greatest of quality but I'm glad to have them all.

They were also quite affordable to collect over the years. I don't hold out hope for a remaster but I'd probably double-dip for one.

As far as I'm concerned, I got what I paid for and that's not inherently terrible.

Thank you for this. I don't know about anyone else but I think the current dvds are lousy. I'm glad I have the series, I can share them with friends and what not, but man they could have done so much better. Just a lazy attempt.

I can't see it happening to be honest. I mean the volumes and seasons were released originally, then the discs were bundled together as part of the complete turtle van pack. After that they even released volume 3-6 as a stand-alone season season 3 set.

The quality isn't amazing but I agree with CyberCubed - compared to the old VHS tapes and what not the DVDs are very watchable. There are some issues with order of episodes in places but I think we're pretty lucky to have what we have. I am in the midst of watching "Gargoyles" and trying to find a reasonably priced copy of Season 2 Volume 2 which ships to the UK has proved difficult, especially considering it was only released as a Disney exclusive in the USA about 8 years after Season 2 Volume 1 was released. I understand the the previous sets didn't sell too well, but releasing the next volume eight years later as an exclusive? Come on...

I don't think we can complain too much about Lionsgate. Their efforts weren't brilliant as pingclang says but we have the DVDs which is better treament than some shows are given. What's going on with the 2k3 series is a different story, but we will see what Nick decide to do in future in that respect.

Just release them all on amazon instant video or iTunes. Bonus if they remaster them. Problem solved.

I have netflix - it's very cheap and excellent for TV shows, although our library isn't anywhere near as strong as the US one. I'd love to see the original series show up there in its entirety but it's obviously a minefield in terms of rights etc.

I own seasons 1-8 on DVD but I'd definitely prefer to stream it sometimes - preferably in proper aspect ratio and without the horizontal black bars which shows like X-Men have on there.
