classic shredder movie costume

[keaton]

I'm trying to make a movie shredder costume, but because so much of shredder is in darkness, I can't quite make out if shredder is wearing a sumo style diaper thing or if I'm looking at the tied bit of his belt hanging down around his crotch.

Anybody able to point me in the right direction.

[snake]

I'm pretty sure shredder has the black diaper thing, and light purple pants.
