In the 2003 series do you feel Karai deserved the mantle of Shredder? I feel that in regards to her training and being Chr'ell's daughter yes but considering how she led the foot I have to say no. I've always felt that a successor to the Shredder should be like a no name Foot Ninja that is psycho loyal and obsessed with Shredder to the point that he'd take on the title of Shredder and force his ascension through the ranks.

My only problem with Karai is that she claimed to be loyal to Shredder but was often far to lineient with the turtles I've always felt a successor to the Shredder should be someone that embodies all of he hatred and be just as cruel and merciless. Also it would be cool to see a no name foot ninja rise to be the leader of the foot.

Wrong place. And discussed too many times.

I say yes, The Foot isn't a organization created to destroy the turtes but rather a group of mercenaries who do recon, assassination, escorting, and thievery. As long Karai makes sure the Foot is this I see no problem in her in control.

2007 Karai - Nope. Cause she got her ass kicked by an amateur ninja in yellow tights.

Other Karais - Sure.

Since it's in the general section and not 4kids series.

Mirage Karai was never Shredder's successor, she was more of a superior that had to clean up his sh*t when he died and the Foot split into rogue factions.

4Kids and Imagi movie are both worthless.

Nick Kara and IDW karai have not yet run the Foot, although. I can see IDW try the mantle of leader and be pretty good at it. She did clean up the mess her father had done.

All the mess she had to cleanup, you'd think Karai is a maid.

2k3: Oh f*** no. The only noteworthy thing she did was destroy the Turtle's lair but even then she wouldn't have done it without the Mystic's help and she pretty much did it for a sh***y reason. "I shall take revenge on my father even though he tried to kill me but never seem to acknowledge!" Even worse when, after they succeeded with the lair's destruction, she wasn't satisfied since Leo was absent and she just continued to act like a total b***h until he was found or came to her. Really makes Leo coming in to kick her sorry a** all the more satisfying to watch.

2007: She kind of did it better I guess but even then, it hardly matters since they really did nothing and were mostly irrelevant to the plot besides little meat bags Winters and the Generals could push around until the end.

Mirage: Wish she'd actually appear more.

2K3: You're kidding right?

2k7: She's playing second fiddle with Winters, so I can't say she's a good villain. Still the fact she and her group caught most of the monsters while Leo and Raph are having family drama I wanna think she's good. And then the fight with April happened.

Mirage: Should have appeared more, but never felt like a worthy enough successor, and this disintegrates to her elderly appearance in Tales. The Foot Elite battle really did her in.

2k3: At least the Shredder is now human; leading up to it in Season 3 with regards to the Turtles vs. Ch'rell in terms of what side she belongs to, climaxing in Exodus. The Season 4 plot using mystic forces wasn't bad, but its unclear why Karai gave up on the Foot and sided with the Turtles in the finale. But then Turtles Forever is where Karai does an about face twice: first by freeing Ch'rell, and then saying that Shredder will return someday. The later could have meant that although Karai may have not been with the Foot at that point, she gave us the message that Earth is always brimming with conflict and it may happen anyplace at anytime. The second best version, changing sides through the series, with Season 4 being the darkest, taking out the Turtles' lair.

TMNT: Probably the best version, since Karai starts out as a formidble replacement, leading to a big battle with April. But once she sees that Max Winters is using the Generals/Monsters to command the world along with her defeat with April, she changes her stance to save the world.

IDW/Nick: Shredder is still around so its too early to say.
