Mirage Limited Edition

Can someone give me a little more information about this book? I've heard some people refer to this as a "TMNT Phone Book". Does anyone know when this Book was released and how it was distributed? A comic shop exclusive maybe? Any info would be helpful. I'm sure Karpo knows. :D

I think I got a real good deal considering it contains Issues 1-11, Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo, Raphael, plus some bonus material.

I'm guessing that it has exactly the same content as the first Collected Book, but with another cover and probably lower print run.

I'm not sure about the print run on this one, but you're basically right. It is the same content as collected book #1. There are a few minor differences, like dedications from Kevin and Peter.

Back in the late 80s Mirage released this book together with a hardcover edition. The hardcover was limited to 1000 copies and was individually signed by both Kevin and Peter. The price for that was $100.. but it's REALLY nice. There have been a lot of the softcover editions (what you won) showing up on the different auction sites, so I dunno if a bunch were recently found in a warehouse or what, but there they are.

the first collected book only had issues 1-3. The Mirage Limited Edition has all of the issues 1-11 + the four microseries issues.

No, you are thinking of the Graphic Novel from First. There is a Collected Book #1 from Mirage that has 1-11 plus the microseries.
