View Full Version : Howdo you feel about the Casey / April / Donnie love triangle this season?

As shown from spoilers Donnie and Casey will have a rivalry over who gets April, I think I liked it better where Casey had no competition and he x April just became a couple. This causes a lot of problems for the season in my opinion, a lt of shows that have love triangles have caused trouble for the season. Let's face it, we all know what's going to happen between April and Casey, they'll become a couple while Donnie gets hurt, he's got no chance :ohwell:
How do you guys feel about this? I also think it will take up too much screen time. Like the idea or not?

I'd rather april stay single throughout the show.

I think they should have her be close with both of them until the end of the series. That way it's left ambiguous so everyone is happy.

I "feel" that at this rate it'll be somewhere around Season 4 when we can finally put the "Who's Gonna Nail April?" BS behind us and move the story significantly forward.
I wasn't against any of it from the start, but I'm sick of it. It's pretty much been entirely exposed by now that the April/Donnie thing was just a way to pad the episodes out (success), create cheap laughs (50/50, at best), and possibly creep some people out (success, regardless of whether that was the intention or not). There was never, E-E-EEEEEVVER the tiniest chance April was ever going to "hook up" with Donnie, especially on a cartoon show, especially one made by Nick, and any sane person knows that, and the running gag is so tired it's fast asleep by now.
Adding Casey to the mix just so he and Donnie can passive-aggressively try and one-up each other for April's affections for a half or whole season before "fighting it out" to see who "gets" her is going to be an annoying distraction from anything important that's going on. And frankly, if Casey doesn't "get" her, or she chooses neither, then the entire set-up was *literally* an intelligence-insulting waste of time. If you break down every minute of just the first season where they stop everything to establish "Yes, April gives Donnie a raging Turtle-boner", that's a TON of time wasted on this potentially-going-nowhere subplot. And she's not going to get with Donnie. She can't. It's logistically impossible for this specific TMNT representation. Nick isn't gonna want to answer those letters, emails and phone calls from parents as to why they're "pushing bestiality on kids". It's as simple as that. In another setting, it could work, potentially. Definitely not here, in this show. So it's Casey or neither, if it's neither it's all for nothing, and I'm already annoyed with the whole idea.
For the record, I'm not against the Turtles having relationships. I've argued in favor of it many times on this forum, and I'm not even opposed to them having relationships with humans. But the way this show has done it is awful.

Seriously. What a dumb idea! I can't imagine being that guy sitting with the producers, directors, and writers, and saying "Oh, what if CASEY fell in love with April, too! And then the two got so butthurt at each other! It would be so COOL!" Save that sh*t for Twilight, man!
I think they should have her be close with both of them until the end of the series. That way it's left ambiguous so everyone is happy.
Very good point. That might actually be the best idea and it leaves things open for the fans.
===
For now I feel it could be a fun addition to the show to add a little rivalry between Donnie and Casey, but it depends on how they'll implement it. But it would be best to let April stay single yet close to either character, or perhaps later on allowing Casey/Donnie to get over their crush.
In 2k3 they were able to let April go with Casey because Don never was shown having a real crush on her. Yeah, there were hints (When April kissed him in one episode or when she said she could kiss him during the Triceraton invasion and his reaction to that) and Don clearly enjoyed April's company. But in the 2k12 series Donnie clearly loves April, and if April would choose Casey it would break his heart.
I hope they'll let April stay neutral in this. In any case, it could make for some fun scenes. As long as it doesn't take away from the story itself.

But if she stays neutral, what was the *point* of all this? It hasn't exactly been entertaining. It's really the *least* entertaining part of the entire show, and it makes Don look F'n pathetic. If there's a resolution and she ends up with Casey and Don grows up and moves on, then at least it was for a reason. April "stays neutral", then a huge chunk of TWO seasons gets sacrificed for no reason, and Casey's introduction gets sabotaged by being welded onto a pointless subplot, which severely undermines his character.
I mean, I could see it if April chose "neither, for now" and eventually settled with Casey a few seasons later on, it would make sense, but frankly I'm so sick of this poorly-handled storyline that the sooner they resolve it and drop it, the better the rest of the show will be for it. It's not cute anymore, it's not funny anymore, it's annoying and I'm not thrilled that it's going to be a big part of Season 2.
I understand what you mean, I really do. I guess it comes down to people liking different things. Personally I enjoyed Donnie's crush on April in season 1. And as long it isn't overdone in season 2, I'm actually looking forward to find out where they're taking it from here.

The common sense reasoning says that the odds of the story leading to a romantic relationship between April and Donnie is Less Than Zero. At least on a Nick cartoon aimed at young kids. Thus, literally every single second they've spent on it is a Waste Of Time! Making Don's entire motivation for everything he does as simple as "This will make April fall in love with me FOR SURE!" has been awful. He's a laughingstock. His own brothers barely respect him because they know he's a lovesick puppy-dog, and at worst, he's getting kind of creepy.
Again, I wouldn't mind it so much if it had been done well, but since there was no chance they'd ever "hook up" to begin with, the joy entirely HAS to be in the journey, and I've seen little that I like in this journey. Sure, there's potential for some character growth once April eventually lets him down hard and explains to Don (and the audience) that them ever being together is completely-F'ing-impossible, but is it really worth all the other cool stuff we could have seen on this show, or could have seen happen sooner, if this subplot never happened?
Almost a dozen different TMNT universes came and went without this angle being explored, and I think it's safe to say it hasn't improved a single thing. Now, once more, if it were a different setting (read: NOT a cartoon aimed at young children), and done completely differently (read: NOT spending the better part of two seasons focusing on Donnie and his April-woody at the expense of what the larger TMNT story is supposed to be about), it could have been better.
I'm not saying that anyone who likes it is stupid or anything. There's room for relationships in TMNT. But I'd honestly, truly love for someone to explain to me the appeal of a one-sided, borderline-creepy "relationship" that dumbs down a main character for comedic purposes, when every rational viewer knows the two characters involved can not and WILL NOT be involved in a relationship. I mean, I don't even care for Romeo & Juliet, because I already knew the ending going in (Spoiler: Everybody's dead). I don't like stories that go nowhere, or stop other, more important stories in their tracks. So far this has been both of those.
Less "Who's April Gonna Boink?", and more "How Will The Turtles Stop Shredder and The Kraang?" That's what I want from a TMNT show, and sadly, it looks like Season 3 is as early as we're gonna see that as the sole focus. And lest you think I'm just a grouch who's being too harsh, my wife hates the April/Donnie thing way more than I do. She barely watches the show at all because she can't stand that subplot, it ruins the entire show for her. Which pisses her off, because she loves TMNT almost as much as I do, and really liked the first few episodes, but she gave up halfway through it. :ohwell:

Just have April choose Don. It sucks that Don has be a mutant turtle for any of this to be such a big deal. How many series has one of the main characters fall for the main female character... only to have him lose her to one of the secondary characters? Love triangles are interesting and blah blah, but in the end, the female usually stays with 'who saw her first', especially if the second person was introduced later in the series.
Don is a victim of 'executive meddling' and 'outside world meddling' which makes him destined to fail. 1. He's a turtle, so he has the whole 'ewwww bestiality' crowd against him. 2. He never had April in any of the past versions, so it doesn't look right to most to start now. and 3. they introduced Casey who is with her in most of past versions, plus they already announced he's interested in her. Just so unfair man.
And as for 'grow up and move on'... move on to what? To being single all his life? I know relationships aren't for everyone, but it is difficult to fall for someone, be denied, and then decide to be single for life. Just doesn't work that way. Once you start, you kinda can't stop so they BETTER introduce some female mutant for Don to replace April or something. And yes, TMNT was never about love and romance, but they kinda opened that can of worms when they started the crush on April thing and making it last past the first episode, knowing full well they had no intention of hooking them up.
Another issue is, aside from Ninjara and Raph, the Turtles have never had a romantic interest stay with them and fight side by side with them as part of the status quo. Noone is gonna wanna see Don and April call each other hun and sweetie in between Foot fights.
I don't know. I still want April to choose Don, but in the final episode so we don't have to see the mushy stuff. And so that Donnie can win.

I just don't see it. I don't know. I honestly can't see April in any incarnation settling down and spending the rest of her days in a romantic relationship with one of the Turtles. If for no other reason than if anyone ever found out, she'd likely be committed, at the very least she'd be shunned by just about everyone. In a sense, she'd be throwing her entire life away. It's just not realistic. They could never exist as a couple in the world at large, as their relationship would never be accepted, and if it ever got out she was boinking a mutant reptile she'd lose her job, her reputation, and everything else. Everywhere she went, people would know and judge her if it ever got out. Eventually, if April was like any other chick and just wanted a "normal" life, she'd get sick of it. Nobody would give up their "normal" life to live in a sewer just to make kissy-face with a giant reptile. The TMNT premise is already stretching the bounds of credibility, but that would be breaking them.
I'm as romantic as the next guy, and sure, in fiction anything is *possible*, and the fact Donnie's a different species than April shouldn't in and of itself mean they CAN'T be together... but at the same time, it totally does, for the same reason the Turtles themselves have to stay hidden in almost all TMNT mythology. If people in the TMNT's world can't accept *them*, who would accept them having a relationship with a human being? I know, "tolerance" and all that... by that logic, why not just have the Turtles walk around in broad daylight and ask people not to freak out? If April gets pregnant, is she gonna sell the exclusive first picture to US magazine? I mean, seriously...

I'm pretty ok with the idea. I just want season 2 to start already. That's all I know. They'll probably stretch this out like the April/Kraang arc. We did get a few cute Don smitten scenes in season 1 and maybe that's how they'll pull off the love triangle. Although I'm not sure how cute said love triangle is going to be! There's gonna be one mad turtle and one mad emo kid. You do the math. haha!

If April does choose Donnie then I hope it's subtle enough for it to be sweet. I doubt there really is going to go beyond hugs or kissing. If you want Yiff, read fan fics.
However if April chooses Casey, I hope that there is a resolving moment. Where April does tell Donnie where he feelings lie...true he won't like it. But it's better he hear it from her...then moping around wondering how he could be so stupid to think he had a chance with April.
And plus we should also have a conversation like the one in this fic. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/9410675/1/Learn-to-let-her-go

Luckily she's still too young for most of that to affect her. She doesn't have a job or much of a reputation to worry about. Her best friends are mutants, she's used to hiding that anyway, it doesn't even seem she has any normal friends to make excuses to 'sorry guys, can't join you for the movies today...uh.... my aunt is sick....' The main problem will be whenever she grows up.... but we know the cartoon would never take things that far. Most of the stuff you mentioned about April being an outcast and etc etc, while true, are things a kids cartoon won't really dwell on. Especially since it's still an action show.

Well yeah, I was speaking in general as far as any April in any incarnation. :) I mean, even if she got with Donnie in the Nick show, we'd at least have to assume she'd still be with him later on, thus leading to all those logistical issues when she got older anyways, whether they bothered to show it or not.
Again, the fact that none of the logical outcomes for the scenario are possible within the context of this show is precisely why I'm not a fan of how it's been presented.

And besides if she was worried about that in her later years. There are options aside from living in the sewers.
For example maybe having living in a cabin in a rural area of New York could be one solution. And it's not like April would come out an say she's yiffing a mutant turtle. She could just say her husband is shy and reclusive that's why she doesn't have any pictures of him or invite him to any social gatherings. Either that or Donnie makes a holographic device to make him appear human when he's out in public.
I don't think Donnie is going to retire from being a Ninja to live a quite life where he can tinker to his hearts content however.

All that ain't no way to live, though. Nobody loves anybody *that* much, to turn their entire life into a giant hassle full of lies, cover-ups, and sneaking around, for the sake of some poignant notion of "forbidden love". It would overly-complicate both of their lives, which are already pretty complicated.
See? I just wrote part of April's inevitable "It's not YOU, it's ME" speech that April's gonna have to give Donnie one day.

Leo656 would've gotten so many upvotes from me if it were possible. Like he says, there's no damn way April's gonna actually FALL IN LOVE with Donnie. Lemme rephrase that. There's NO DAMN WAY that a teenaged girl is going to fall in love with a mutant turtle! Honestly, that's a dumb idea. I hope this show goes the route of April coming right out and saying "You're a MUTANT TURTLE. I am a HUMAN BEING. There's no way I could possibly love you." And stop this... whatever this is... now!
Knowing how genius the writers are with this subplot, they're probably going to mutate APRIL. -_-

Isn't that kinda what April mostly goes through just from being friends with the Turtles? If her whole is already hiding the identities of her best and only friends, what's the diff if she boinks em once in a while? Wouldn't change the fact she has to hide them from the world as is.
The thing is, April is always a conveniently lifeless loser before she meets the Turtles. I kinda want an April that had an actual active social life before she met them.

To be fair, I'm not saying it'd be *impossible* in an entirely different scenario in an entirely different TMNT universe than this one. But in this one instance, it's pretty close to impossible, and that's why I'm not thrilled with it being given so much weight.
In a TMNT comic or something aimed at an older and entirely different audience, it could play, possibly. All it does in this instance, though, is remove focus, even a little bit, from things more deserving of our attention. Things simply *have* to pay off in a piece of narrative fiction or they're pointless. Donnie getting his heart broken in Season Two, sulking through Season Three, and finally getting over it and becoming a bad-ass in Season Four might be character growth and development, but it's not what I want to see the main (or even a large bit of) character development for his character be. It demeans him greatly, and there's almost no way for April to let him down, gently or otherwise, that won't make her a little less likable to at least some of the audience, especially those who are rooting for the pairing.
I think in the context of this show, both characters can grow bigger and do bigger things the sooner they leave this plotline behind. Some other TMNT universe? Eh, could be. I'm not against the *idea* specifically, just against time being given expanding an angle that realistically can't end well for anyone involved under these circumstances.
Yagami: There is at least some precedent to show that April doesn't necessarily *want* her entire life to be all that. In the final seasons of the OT, she more or less stops hanging out with them once they've finally made her life a bit too inconvenient. I'm not saying I like the idea of her brushing them off or anything, but I do sort of wonder if at some point April might stop, take a serious look at her life, and wonder if her friendship with the Turtles has brought her more harm than good. In real life, "best friends forever" can entirely stop being friends and even never talk again, for far more trivial stuff than what April's been through on account of the Turtles. In some tellings, like the OT, April's own self-interest was equal or greater than her relationship with the Turtles, so it's kind of feasible that one day she might have had enough of them, entirely...

April torn between two lovers.
I'm actually going to wait for an episode to actually air before I state my opinion on good or bad.
And based on the trailer and sneak peek of the premiere, they didn't air any Donnie/April mingling, so again, it certainly doesn't appear it is going to be a massive major arc. Just something to fill space in several episodes.

I just hope this love triangle doesn't overshadow the characters themselves. If it does, it will be a big set back for Donatello's, April's, and Casey's character development, and it will appear as if that triangle is the only thing going on for them.
But as Leo656 said earlier, we'll have to wait a few more seasons to see if the Nick writers effectively played out this love triangle without sacrificing character depth.

I'm not as alarmist as some; for example, I don't believe that the love triangle will turn the whole show into a soap opera, but be played for laughs instead. However, being played for laughs and actually being funny are two different things, and I still don't like the idea.
Remember that statement by Peter Laird, that when you show your creation to the fans, it takes on a life of its own that you didn't intend? This Donnie/April thing feels like a big example of that phenomenon. They intended it as a joke, but it went on for so long that it ceased to be funny, and instead wound up either cute or creepy. They recruited an almost brony-calliber periphery of female shippers who take it more seriously than they intended, and although that sentiment among fans is far from universal, it's still big enough that Nick should have left well-enough alone, whether you interpret that to mean not putting this crush thing in to begin with or just not smacking it with a love triangle with the boringly predictable ending.
Instead, they've gone and escalated Don's obsession to the point that he's April's personal hero, and that's a corner they can't write out of easily. If they had ended this relationship thing while it was just awkward and possessive, that would be understandable, but now things are different; now Don's has actually done things to "earn" April, and ruining his triumph is just cold. Either it necessitates having a sad episode where he says goodbye, or they try to make light of that tragedy and end up offensively unfunny. Worse still, in a big way, this thing might never end; only evolve. Even if Don's crush pursuit of April is closed by her getting with Casey, I could see an ongoing animosity between Don and Casey being the new running joke people get sick of. Also, this just hinders April's chances to be her own thing, since most episodes where she plays a big role (and given her gift, there might be many) will likely to call back to the feud.

Not that I want April to reciprocate Donnie's crush, but the show's logic doesn't make sense to me. Sure, Don can have a crush on a member of another species and it's not creepy (in Nick's eyes), but to have it reciprocated would be? Why would it be any more creepy to have April have a crush on a different species than it is for Donnie to?
I don't know. I still want April to choose Don, but in the final episode so we don't have to see the mushy stuff. And so that Donnie can win.

I don't think some of you know what a love triangle is. April has no "love" for Donnie outside of friendship. That was made clear in Season 1.
Sure Donnie will be jealous of Casey, but it has no basis because April is not torn between them.

I agree.
And also, here's my 2 cents:
With any series or film trilogy, usually the rule is that the pilot a.k.a. first episode is very important and will always be the main story point to be reflected in the finale.
Donnie's crush on April is one of the highlight in the pilot and I feel it is vital in the series and will be reflected upon (sooner or later or) in the end. Most likely April will definitely choose him IMO.

'Yiffing'.
It's an actual Term used in the Furry community. I'm not a Furry fanatic, but I have a friend who is.
Yiff is a term used for having relations with a Furry...or in Donnie's case a Scaly

Well maybe the Triangle could lead to some bonding moments between April/Leo and Donnie/Leo. And maybe a little Donnie/Casey development.
But there is of course going to be tension between Casey/Donnie and Donnie/Leo as well.

I'm pretty much on the wait and see bandwagon. I have faith that the writers will do a good job with this and not make it the entire focus of the whole season as seen in season 1. As long as they keep it simple and don't overdo it, it'll be fine. April may not like Donnie in that way now, but she may change her mind in season 2 as things progress.

Exactly. That's how I'm hoping they handle things in season 2. The writers are amazing and they really did a great job with Don's April crush in season 1. It was there but we all weren't hit over the head with it. The triangle will probably be there in little bite sized pieces throughout certain eps to make things a little more lighthearted as I'm guessing that Mutagen Man arc is going to be preeetty dark.

I Second this. Seriously, who honestly thought it was a good idea to hold on to this subplot. I'll give it a few episodes worth of my time, but this subplot NEEDS to die before season's end.

Too little too late. April is a girl in a boys action show who is not a mutant or anything particularly interesting and her name isn't in the title. She's doomed to be reduced to a prop a damsel in distress or a love interest. Or just a random character tossed in there just because.

she doesn't have to be though.....if the writers just tired to make her her own character then they can DO it...it's not that hard.
girls don't have to be doomed to be that way......April could have just been their close friend that helped them get info on the topside. (like she did in never say xever and panic in the sewers)

I'm thinking the writers are going to let April be her own character in this series. She's certainly one of the strongest and most independent incarnations of April I've seen. Wondering if we're going to see her get herself out of more and more scrapes as the show and her training progresses. My fiancé and I both think she's a pretty strong female character and that's refreshing in a show mostly comprised of males. It's sure looking as if the writers are going to make her out to be something more than the stereotypical damsel in distress. Guess we'll just have to wait and see, but I hope this is indeed the case.

You talk about her being her own character; yet the example you gave is not being her own character, it's being the same character April has been in every incarnation of Ninja Turtles.
She is being her own character, it's just something you don't approve of. There's nothing wrong with that opinion, but just saying your reasoning doesn't make sense with your example.

I just realized that, but it's true. April being kinda/sorta Donnie's girl is a new character trait. She's a teen in this version and decides to stick with Don the most since he is the one that gives her the most attention. She's not the Turtles denmother like when she used to be 28 in the OT....

With Leo there's the second grade type of kiss-and-tell storytelling ("I met this girl.." *gasp* "Tell me everything!")

I believe there was also that short scene with April and Mikey and their talk about school and "spit".
I draw a blank with Raph as well. Any scene April talked with Raph always seemed to include other turtles. Raph did gave April a thumbs up after hearing how she stood up to Karai, but Donnie/Mikey complimented her as well.
There was also that scene in "Operation Breakout" where Raph told and showed April that she especially should thank Donnie. But that was more a one-way scene and not a real interaction, and he was doing it more to help Donnie with April.

maybe even have individual episodes with each one.

Yeah, that would be great. Although we do know she's friends with the turtles and that they all care for her. (Mikey standing protectively in front of her when thinking Donnie wants to use her as a bait, Raph and the others protesting heavily when she offers to spy on Shredder for them, Leo trusting April to ask her advice on a girl he met, etc)
But, like you said, it would be great to see some more bonding between April and all the turtles. At times I found it odd that she only seems to be close to Donnie or that she's only hugging him.

Maybe that will happen more now that Donnie is going to have an Adversarial role. I know April will be in a lot of scenes revolving around D & C. But there will be moments where there is development with Donnie and Casey by themselves. Leaving April free to interact with the other Turtles.

All for a full fourth of the gang being away venting at a human, while another human becomes the unofficial fourth member? I sure as shell am not all for that.
What it all comes down to is that this was a stupid idea that opened up a whole can of worms. If they're trying to appeal to horny teen boys by making one of their characters relatable, they failed because these same boys don't like their action cartoons occupied by this romance stuff. If they're trying to teach the lesson that you can't always get what you want, then they failed because the specific reason Don can't doesn't apply to any viewers. If they hope to avoid accusations of being creepy by putting April with a human instead, then they're quite a bit too late for that.

Just because Donnie and Casey each wish the other would take a one way trip to the moon, doesn't mean they are going to be fighting every time they are alone together. There is bound to be some tolerantly friendly interaction between them.

Not necessarily. But then, just because Don has a crush on April doesn't necessaily mean that will dominate their time onscreen together; however, that is usually exactly what happens. So given he's that obsessed with April, do you expect him to forget that obsession when Casey steals her? I don't see how he would.

If you were more realistic you'd see April isn't going to be having sex at all in a kids show. Especially when she's underage. You all have to get the whole sex angle out of your heads when it comes to romance in cartoons. Who's banging Korra? When's the last time we saw Aladdin nailing Jasmine or miss martian blowing super boy in young justice? These are kids shows. Leave the sex out of it.

I agree. If you want to hear about April doing the Horizontal shuffle with (insert character here) that is what fanfiction is for. On the TV show that itself is an unknown concept and it never will go beyond hugging or maybe kissing in show.
Really I don't see what all the fuss is about. Donnie having a crush on April, I can see why people would have problems with it because Donnie acts like an idiot when he's with April. And April has spent majority of her time on screen with Donnie because he's the Turtle who has bonded with her the most. But the largely one sided crush isn't what defines these characters. Donnie is still the kindhearted genius he's been in previous incarnations, and his feelings for April makes him feel like he should prove himself worthy of her heart and in turn prove who he is as a warrior to his brothers.
Ciro has explained at Power-Con that Leo, Donnie, and Raph have a Kirk/Spock/McCoy relationship.
Much like Spock, Donnie does express a level of intelligence that exceeds those around him. However every once in a while his human side comes out. And April is one of the moment's Donnie's human-side presents itself.
With April she is becoming strong and independent and we have more to learn about who she is as a character in the upcoming season. So far she see's Donnie as nothing more then a brother figure as well as her best friend. Yes there were opportunities the show writers should have taken with her character in the first season, but I have faith the Nick Writers will come up with an explanation for her story that makes it all worth it. And maybe a conclusion to the Love triangle that will meet everyone can agree with.

I'm not dreading any "Ew" factor here. What I'm dreading is more time-killing, of the sort that Season 1 had too much of.
In fact, not for the first time, I am reminded of Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated. Now, I liked it, though mostly because I'm a lifelong Scooby fan, despite seeing the huge flaws of the series. Yet it annoyed me that the show was constantly teasing an Indiana Jones-esque story arc, yet for most of the series, it never did more than tease; it just had the villain-of-the-week junk take up most of its time. I've often felt the same way about this show's plot progress; we get a lot of dispensable episodic stuff, with only lip-service paid to the greater implications of what's going on with the Foot and the Kraang and April, but now, I'm also reminded of another problem I had with SDMI; the romantic angle that went on and on, but never went anywhere. Much as that show did with Velma; throwing her nerdy characteristics in backseat in favor of stalker behavior, this show has done to Donatello. It's not funny; it's annoying. I still like it better than Technobabble Donatello, but at some point, he does need to do more machines.
Coola Yagami
10-04-2013, 06:35 PM
Don does machines almost every episode... Though I love that he works on actual ninja stuff too like the smoke bombs. That's awesome.
People mentioning opening a can of worms have to remember these scripts have been written out and worked out in advance. They know what they're doing and they know how the don/April thing is gonna work out before they even started it. By the time season 2 airs half the episodes are already finished or working out the last minute tweaks here and there before airing. Season 3 is probably halfway written out by now. So let's kick back and relax and see whet the season takes us.
Some if you act as if they make a new episode a week and have no idea what to do for next week. Relax and go with the flow dudes.

Exactly my thoughts Mark. Season 2 is done, and they're already working on season 3, so they definitely have a clear idea of where they want things to go. I really like the fact that Casey will be developed slowly and we'll learn more about him as the episodes progress. I'm not worried about this romance thing at all. April has developed into a good character as we've seen in quite a few episodes. Hell, she kneed Karai in Showdown instead of just struggling to get free, so you know she's not afraid to fight back. I think a lot of you are just focused on the fact that she's had more time with Donnie than the other Turtles. This is true, but that could change in season 2. Just be patient and let things come as they may.
