I ask because of the negative reactions of some fans on here to the Oots designs.
So with everything else that could possibly go wrong with this movie will the turtles having nostrils be something you don't want to be apart of the designs at all or are you willing to overlook it if the movie turns out to be decent?

It really depends on the design. 4/5 times I hate nostrils in TMNT fan art, for my tastes, it hardly ever works or looks right. Outside of the latest game, the turtles have never had them in any official capacity. I hated them at first on the OOTS designs, but I do actually think the style lends itself to them well now that they've grown on me. Guess it's a wait & see issue. With that said, I can't vote as there's no "Maybe" option.

Nope. Not in the slightest. After seeing their OotS designs and absolutely loving them, I always draw them with nostrils now anyway.

It really depends on the design. .
this right here..if there are subtle and flow well then i will like them...but is there are huge dragon like in your face then no thanks

You have to think from a logical standpoint. If your creating realistic living breathing mutant turtles, They would need nostrils to breathe the air, people will pay attention to a lot of details when looking at CGI characters. Which is why they are gonna be pulling all the stops to make the most photo realistic Ninja Turtles on screen and not make them look too cartoonish, Yet still recognizable.

The first flick made realistic TMNT and they didn't have nostrils. This movie is obviously pandering to the casual audience, who would react in a MUCH more volatile fashion than we would if a new design characteristic such as nostrils were implemented. There's your logical standpoint.

I wonder if they'll just have the Mirage elbow pads and such... or the new bandage wraps around the wrists and hands like they do in IDW and Nick.

It didn't bug me in the new game so... no.
What will bug me is if Dragonball Evolution ends up a better movie in comparison...

I'm 99.9% sure the turtles will have nostrils due to the more "humanoid" appearance.

I always figured that they did have nostrils, and ear hole (ear orifice?) just that the nostrils were too close to mouths and since they were slits they were not really visible, and the ears were beneath the bandanas. But it wouldn't bother me if they had nostrils.

Turtles hear with tympanic membranes just like other reptiles.
It's the big round piece behind near reptile's eyes birds have them too.
We have them but they are internal.
I always assumed they had nostrils just not big cavernous ones, if they have full human noses I think it woudl be a deal breaker, rather them have some sort of turtlish lookign beak thing.

Its not going to destroy my world if they do, but I would definitely prefer the look of the turtles to stick to the traditional appearance.
Im not really a fan of bamboo armour and pants either, but who knows...
