Welcome back for Season Two!

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/Machias_Banshee/130926mag-teenage-mutant1_210x305.jpg

Last season was wild... we learned about the Kraang's primary goal of transforming Earth to their gooey hearts' desires. We saw Splinter's earth-shattering revelation that his daughter was alive - and a blood enemy.

Well, it looks like things are going to get very complicated for our band of brothers. It seems the Kraang and the Shredder have decided to band together against their common foe, and have continued with the next phase of the Kraang's plan: Transforming the flora and fauna of Earth to match that of Dimension X.... and no humans are safe.

How much time has passed since we last saw the Hamato Clan? What has happened to the Technodrome since it sank to the bottom of the ocean? And how large a scale is this operation?

Hmm... I'm not seeing it on the XBL website. Most recent addition to Volume 3 is the "Ninjas in New York" 4 min recap from September. I'm at work though so can't check my actual 360.

Opening this up early as the episode is available for viewing now in the US via the Nick app on Xbox Live!!

Gonna keep it light on plot points at the moment since many wont't see it til Saturday, but I will say there isn't any progression on the status on the Technodrome.

The opening sequence has been modified, showing more characters than Dogpound & Fishface in the Shredder montage.

What a fun episode, though! It seems the theme this season will be the Turtles having to locate a LOT of missing mutagen that is scattered all over the city, as well as the mutant fallout that will arise from the situation, on top of the other things they have to deal with.

Keep an ear out for Mike's "monster name" for Kirby, and those of us more versed in memes will get a good chuckle out of the "Dramatic Hamster" homage.

Pretty good episode! Not great for an opener, but still fun and exciting. I guess I'll post the spoilers for those who care. So yeah, SPOILERS.

The intro shows various badguys besides Dogpound and Fishface now, like Newtralizer and Karai.

The turtles are still celebrating their victory over Shredder and the Kraang. Splinter tells them they're being overly cocky. Feels like he's yelled at them for that before, but whatever.

They receive a transmission from the orb and go chasing after the invisible ship. They fight the biotroid there and accidentally release a bunch of mutagen over the city. Kirby mutates into a bat.

Mikey tries to call the Kirby bat Wingnut but gets scolded for being insensitive.

April gets upset about her father mutating after they manage to trap him in a cage. Mikey, trying to cheer her up, says it's not her fault but theirs. He promises to fix everything. However, knowing that it's their fault, April gets angry and never wants to see their faces again.

It ends with Splinter telling them to find every canister in the city before awful things happen.

So there you go. Good episode.

I'm going to reveal as much as I remember so here it is. Don't glimpse if you wish to be surprised.

Episode starts probably a couple weeks after the Finale as the Turtles are on the surface partying, and reoccurring events that happened to show their awesomeness to each other. Donnie then tells the others they should go see April. April when they meet at her apartment says that her dad is having terrible nightmares about the Kraang abduction and has been keeping April from leaving at night in fear. The turtles swear that April and everyone will be safe being the Kraang & Shredder are gone, but it's revealed that Shredder has contacted the Kraang about receiving a shipment that will be arriving shortly.

(The only differences in the Title that I recall was the Shredder scene with Fishface & Dogpound now has a scrolling effect of numerous villains that include SpiderBytes, Snakeweed, The Rat King, Newtralizer, Karai, Kraang, Shredder and some others. Also in the Donatello part of theme, you now see Metalhead walking on screen while Donnie is doing his regular bit.)

Leo, Mikey, & Raph are then playing Ninja Dodgeball with the Kraang Communication Orb while Donnie is in his lab beginning the first steps of building Timothy's suit (So it does appear that Donnie will make the suit for him) After a harsh lecture from Splinter saying the Turtles have become lazy and cocky since the Kraang's defeat, the Kraang Orb starts going off signaling that the Kraang are back. Donnie learns that the Kraang are using a Stealth Ship to carry whatever they have for shipment and has designed a tracker (The Game Boy looking contraption) to find it. He tells April to take to the surface though she claims she would have no clue how to use it, then they ask if her dad would which leads to April and her on the roof while the Turtles attempt to break into the ship. During the fight in the ship with the blue Gorilla Kraang they discover that the shipment is hundreds of canisters of mutagen and after a critical error opening a cargo hatch in the ship, all the mutagen canisters fall out of the ship and into the city.

One canister looks like it's about to hit April, but her dad shields her from it causing him to mutate after Kirby falls from the roof, bats fly all around him and trigger him to mutate into a bat. After the Turtles escape the ship they see the mutant bat staring at April and begin to attack, but April tells them to stop, during the distraction, Kirby freaks and grabs April and flies off.

Back in the sewer, the Turtles from come up with a plan and after Mikey wonders what silly sucker would be used as bait, the Turtles put Mikey in a ridiculous fly looking costume. (Mikey calls himself "TurFlytle") The Turtles go out to find Kirby while April is trapped on a ledge on a tall building. Raph and Leo use Mikey to attract Kirby (Mikey does call him "Wingnut", which Donnie threatens Mikey to not give April's dad a monster name) After Donnie is knocked out of the sky, he finds April and gets her off the ledge while the others are barely able to get Kirby to the warehouse and trap him in a cage just as April arrives.

April asks the Turtles what they can do for her dad and she says that everything is her fault for lying to her dad. But Mikey goes to her and says that it wasn't her, that it was their fault for spilling the mutagen over the city. April though then is taken aback and confronts the Turtles for the mutagen spill and after a bitter exchange, Kirby breaks out of the cage he is trapped in and goes back on the attack, after Donnie strikes Kirby to protect April, Kirby flies off and escapes and April is now furious at the Turtles for her dad now gone. Donnie begins to say something and reach out to her, but April shuts him up and tells him to not touch her and that she never wants to see the Turtles again and runs off. Donnie begins to run after her, but Raph stops him and says it won't do any good and to just let her go, crushing Donnie.

After learning of the failure of the Kraang, Shredder decides to cut ties with the Kraang and decides to find his own army to assist in his vendetta.

The episode ends with the Turtles back in the lair with Splinter telling them to not dwell on the past, but rather on how to fix the future, and the episode ends with a squirrel running up to a broken mutagen canister and licking and his eyes get all glowy in "Dramatic Chipmunk" style, ending the episode.

If they already name-dropped the name for a different character, chances are Wingnut isn't going to show up. Remember he only had character sketches, its entirely possibly they scraped the idea to bring the character in after they decided to change Kirby into a bat.

And Wingnut has been an alien in every other version of the TMNT so what's not to say he wont be this time around.

It's an ok episode not a very strong start but then again I said the same for Rise of the Turtles so that might change. Did Mikey act strangely like his 2k3 counterpart to anyone? Unnecessary taunting, Boasting constantly of his skills (in his defense so was everyone else)

It wasn't just the end of the acts that were scary; the Halloween-themed promos that followed 'em kept the scare factor going. Easily the darkest episode of the series so far, not just due to all the Mutagen being released and Kirby, but also April at the end of the episode losing her loyalty to the Turtles; something that has never happened before when an episode/issue ends. This is setting up to be the "stop and control the mutants" season that makes arcs like H.A.V.O.C. seem lighthearted in comparison, with Shredder/the Foot still a threat in addition. Add this to the "bad guys win" episodes. Despite that, there was still room for some comic relief, such as Michelagelo's "Turflytle" costume complete with his favorite things he enjoys along with the "Buzz buzz" joke, and Donatello's rocket he constructed seemed well animated when you can dream about how far it would launch when it just ends up on Kraang's ship. It seems like that the Kraang secretly abandoned the Technodrome and made a new ship which increases the speculation about what happened between seasons. Nice to see Mutagen Man and Metalhead as well! Nice way to kick off Season 2 Nick!

Overall: 9/10

Awesome start to the season! a lot of fast paced action and suspense! I love how Kirby's mutation was done with the slow-motion morphing shot. Even though he is wild, it was cool to see that he recognized April. Poor April... I guess she'll have to stay with her aunt again...

I loved the new additions to the intro, including Casey on the rooftop, Karai's reflection, and even Newtralizer! :tgrin:

So it turns out the ape kraang AKA Biotroid is indeed that new figure we will be getting.

Wingnut reference = AWESOME!!!

Awesome!

The new intro is great

Loved the teaser of mutagen man.

The fight scene with the kraang was incredible (even Donnie again using his naginata for something other than fighting.

Kirby's mutation was an amazing scene, and to top it off april finally looked trained in using her tessen.

The ending with april getting mad is awesome, and i like how they left it unresolved. I imagine she will be mad at them for awhile, and during that she will meet casey. I also believe mutagen man will attack april because hes trying to help donnie (theres an image somewhere showing mutagen man holding up a picture of april and donnie)

Everything was very dramatic in this episode and its a great way to start off this season

Well, I guess it wasn't an hour like it was showing on the guide listing... what's episode 2 gonna be? The Squirrel ep is show as ep 3...

There was an ungodly amount of commercials in this premiere - I know it's a kids channel, but most of the first ten minutes were the boys being all cocky and up on themselves... :ohwell:

Poor Kirby... he's the second decent human that's been ruined by the ooze. I'm sure April will be back and friends with them in a couple of episodes.

I really enjoyed the first episode of season 2. It felt more like a prologue to me. You get the sense that the writers were thinking Nick might air the next episode on the same day with that slight cliffhanger at the end involving the squirrelinoid. I think that's the only thing that bugged me about this first episode. I wanted another one.

I liked the fact that the turtles goofed up in this one. They are teens after all, and they've been on this month long pyric victory high. Naturally they're gonna get a little lazy and arrogant. I liked April's reaction at the end of the episode. Sets things up for Casey's debut, I think.

And yes, poor Kirby! Of course we all probably had that bit spoiled for us due to figure info leaks, but it was still pretty horrific. Nice to see Tim featured again if only for a few seconds. And did anyone else catch that one brief scene of a container being nabbed by-- well I wasn't sure who it was. My fiancé didn't get a good enough look. I wanna say it wasn't too long after Kirby's mutation.

This is shaping up to be a great season. I feel that the episode was a pretty strong start. The writers don't want to reveal all the good stuff right away and I don't mind waiting. Nice to see more involvement with the mutagen. It interests the scifi nut in me. I could have done with a bit more Shredder screen time though.

Oh, so the squirrel ep isn't next Saturday then? Most TV guide sites already have that one scheduled for next weekend but I guess they'll switch it around. I just hope it's in chronological order since the last scene we saw in this one involved the squirrel. Yeah, entirely too many commercials between acts 1 and 2 in my neck of the woods at least. I swear it was like 4 mins long! Or that could have had something to do with my eagerness to get on with the show.

My favorite scene hands down in this episode was Kurby's mutation. It reminded me how awesome Snake's mutation was in season one. I really hope someone uploads that scene (not the full episode of course due to copyright). Very excited to see how Baxter's mutation is going to look.

Not to sound like a stick in the mud, but I found it to be a little queer that bats suddenly appeared in New York hanging under air conditioners. Being a native New Yorker that's very rare. Also, maybe it was a quick shot but I didn't see Kirby touch a bat so how did that mutation work ? Aren't you suppose to touch whatever living thing is near you (while covered in mutagen) to be mutated into that thing ?

I really felt bad for Kirby, but for some odd reason when reading the speculations for season two and someone (I forgot the poster's name my apologizes) said that the mutagen was going to fall on April and then Kirby pushed her out of the way to save and he get's mutated, it didn't make me feel that much upset as opposed to when Timothy got mutated. I know he's a cartoon character and at the same time I don't want to sound heartless, but I guess feeling strongly that might happen to him didn't bother as much.

In a way I am happy April is mad at the Turtles. I know how superheros are suppose to have flaws, but I really like how the Turtles flaws stand out more in this incarnation. Plus, it shows that she is not taking her father's mutation very lightly. Aside from Donatello who was compassionate about Timothy mutation. But I guess we will have to see Ralph's reaction to Spike/Slash.

Also I thought this was suppose to be an hour and that the 1987 Turtles was suppose to appear ?

Overall this was very, very good episode. I am looking forward to the next one with the mutated squirrels.

I wish Ciro read these comments on here because as a true horror fan, I love all the nods and homages he is making to classic horror films and incorporating them into the show. This makes me appreciate the show even more aside the fact that it's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles :)

Add this to the "bad guys win" episodes. It wasn't so much a "bad guys win" episode, Shredder didn't get his Mutagen. It was more of a "good guys screw up" episode.

This will allow the show to build April's character away from the turtles now.

I would think so. He gave her "puppy dog eyes" (?) when she yelled at him to get her more food. Even though she was did that to buy herself time.

I would seriously doubt it. Considering Splinter's moral in this episode is to not dwell on the past. Plus it seems in his mind that he as gained more in his life as a rat than he did as a human.

There could be a time limit on the cure. Kirby's mutation is still fresh, whereas Splinter's has stabilized.

Or the "cure" could have unintended effects- perhaps fixing Kirby's mind, but bringing him all the way to a traditional "Wingnut" look instead of turning him human.

One word: Mikey.

Why were you so stupid in this premiere? I thought he would've matured a bit but I felt:

- his jokes were off and unfunny

- his non-common sense/no sensitive side on what happened to April's dad being mutated into a bat. I thought he's the most compassionate one among his brothers? When they caught Kirby in a cage in the warehouse, Mikey practically excitedly exclaimed loudly: "We did it, Don. We caught the Kirby Bat!" whilst gesturing like a grotesque monster. What is so amusing about catching April's dad Mikey? I felt it's so offensive to be joyfully partying when you entrapped your friend's own father.

- him blurting out about them dropping the mutagen all over the city. This one got me: he's so casually saying "Don't worry, don't worry, we'll get it all back" to April. As if the situation is like spilled milk or ice cream and we can all get it back. Like it's no big deal. Like April's dad turned into a bat is like not a serious issue at ALL. What the hell? It's not like they can change him back (atm). Didn't he think about April's feelings? Again, where's your common sense? Is your brain dead Mikey?

I mean.. is my fave turtle has gone beyond retarded and unlikeable now? I blame the horrible writers. -_-

---------

Other than that, the cgi is amazing and a lot of details and improvements can be seen. It seemed a bit rushed here and there (plus that Mikey problem I mentioned above) but overall, well done.

And I like that April and the boys' relationship has a friction, builds character. The way she shouted at the boys, damn.

Actually, maybe it's just me but I think owning up to something and then saying, don't worry, we'll do our best to straighten things out, seems to be more mature than acting like you had nothing to do with it...

The way it's been written would point to kids that lying is the way out of a difficult situation, which it isn't.

Eventually April (or ones parents for that matter) would discover the truth and be more disappointed and angry.

Yes he's not lying (which is good) but Mikey has no empathy at ALL in that scene. Like the consequence of Kirby being mutated means nothing much to him. He said all that whilst smiling widely and happily by the way, all chilling-nothing-much-is-happening, which just infuriates me.

That was the whole point of the story. Being too cocky and confident that everything will be alright. But it's not alright.

Splinter confronting them saying that were too cocky and confident in beginning sets up that scene at the end.

They just came off stopping an alien invasion and saving the world. Mikey of course would think this is a walk in the park, being cocky and confident. But the lesson learned is that not all people respond the same to terrible situations by just being confident.

We'll if Donnie is able to some how find a way to restore someone who has been mutated back to being human. I would honestly believe Donnie would have offered the cure to Splinter, after all he's heard Splinter morn the lost off humanity often enough. And I while I highly doubt Splinter would take the cure because he's grown to accept who he has become. I would believe that he'd be touched that one of his sons would consider doing that for him.

T.T for both April and for Donnie.

I'm glad Mikey decided to do the honest thing and admit that her dad got mutated because they screwed up. And it was better April heard it from them right then rather then finding out later. Still he didn't need to sound like he was proud of the fact they mutated her father.

Whoa, that was a great opener. I have a feeling that with both Timothy and Mr. O'Neil mutated, Donnie may create an anti-mutagen. I really don't want Mr. O'Neil to remain a bat forever. Oh, and I loved April's reaction to the situation. Very realistic. I want to see how long her dislike of the turtles lasts.

Is it just me, or does Donnie have the most complex personality of the turtles? In this episode, the other ones remained in their good guy/angry/idiot archetypes. Only Donnie really showed any emotion or personality.

Fantastic Season Premiere! :)

Everything stepped up from last Season and it seems we are going to explore new and interesting dynamics within the show. Only problem I had is that they regressed Mike's character from a kind, wide-eyed goof that still knows when and what to throw down, to a complete inconsiderate idiot! There were also some pacing issues but overall, I'm so happy with the direction it's going in and I can't wait to see the rest of the episodes (I feel like a kid again) :D!

Few points:

-- Turtles VS. Biodroid was flippin AWESOME! Animation has really stepped up.
-- Loved the lesson of the episode: Not dwelling on the past, focusing on the future.
-- April's actions were completely justified and allowed for some much needed Drama between the Turtles and her.

Hats off to Brandon Auman - I now completely trust in his writing skills cause he just developed one of the most well-balanced and tightly woven Season Premieres I've seen in a long time. He turned from one of my least favourite writers, to one of my favourites!

Great set-up, can't wait for more (and the new Nick Turtles Game :)) -- 8.8/10 for "The Mutation Situation"

April being away from the turtles will be a great way to grow her character. The only issue I'll have is if she is how Casey is introduced to the group.

I'm hoping for a Semi-Turtles 2 vibe where Raph befriends Casey Jones and then he asks him if he would mind looking out for a friend of there's. That way we get that iconic Raph meets Casey moment and it could also play in Donatello being against the idea, since he sees Casey as a possible threat to his future with April.

I know its a long shot, but I think it would be a cool way for the story to go. Plus if you introduce and foster the Casey friendship with Raph it would be a good way to lighten up his character a bit while simultaneously giving him the crazy one who matches his enthusiasm for justice

Oh how nice...more angst, and with the Turtles greatest ally no less. I know the situation with her dad is a bit crazy, but to divorce herself from the guys who'd recently saved the world and her life several times is completly out-of-character and seemingly done entirely to more readily pair her with a bad influence in Casey, I don't know how she'll be "torn" between him and Don if she doesnt want anything to do with Don.

I don't know, it comes off more as a shock value twist. "Oh look, April hates the guys, we're SOOOO different from any other version ever", yeah, I'm just turned off the show more and more with stunts like this.

That ending…

I feel like Donnie and April just broke up even if they weren’t really together… ;___;

AND THAT FREAKING KIRBY BAT.

I LIKED Kirby God damnit. All this time I was hoping it wasn’t going to be true that he’d turn into that ugly ass bat… I feel like the turtles were too careless, as soon as Leo said the ship was full of mutagen they really should have been more careful in case you know, IT SPILLED ON EVERYTHING.

My only reconciliation is that at least Donnie tried to stop it, but it doesn’t sit right with me that they are the ones that kind of caused Kirby to be a mutant… Oh and April MOVE OUT THE ****ING WAY MAYBE?? It’s not all THEIR fault you bitch. Okay I had to get that out of my system.

I just hope April makes up with the turtles again soon… Especially Donnie since she directed her anger at him mostly, ow my feels… IT JUST WASN’T FAIR.

I didn't think it was out of character. I think she had every reason to feel upset that her father was mutated and the people who she trusted were the cause. And when your upset you don't entirely think straight.

It would have been more out of character if she shrugged her shoulders and said "Hey, it's all good. After all it was just an accident right?"

It mean she knew that with the mutagen being released that something had gone wrong on the ship. And I hope when she calms down and actually begins to really process all that happened she will come to accept that they hadn't meant for that to happen and find it in her heart to forgive them.

With Timothy, Donnie said he'd restore his humanity one day. Because it would take years, maybe life times to find a cure for the Mutation.

But when he tries to promise April he wouldn't rest until he was able to return Kirby back to his human self. April may as well have told him to shut up and not promise the impossible in order to make her feel better. In most cases once a mutation happens, there is nothing that can be done about it.

I mean yeah there has been some cases were Donnie has found a cure to restore humans who have been mutated. But the circumstances were different in that regard.

http://markandpaigerodriguez.blogspot.com/2013/10/nicktoons-tmmnt-episode-27-mutation.html My thoughts on the episode... although our main gripe was..

Speaking of which... one thing that bothered us was when Kirby flew off. They know the city is now littered with Mutagen canisters, but 'April's father comes first'. Actually both are just as urgent.... so Paige asked out loud 'why didn't they just split up?' Then in the following scene they're back in the lair stressing out. What the hell? This show seems to have a problem with the Turtles not taking these kinds of situations with the urgency they require. Sure, the scene was important since it led to Splinter giving them advice... but why didn't Leo go home to consult Splinter while the other three Turtles kept looking for the bat while picking up any Mutagen canisters they can find. Or hell, why didn't Don come up with 'bats eat bugs' sooner while they were still outside? There was no reason for the Turtles to just drop everything and go to the lair other than 'this episode is about Kirby, the NEXT episode will be about random mutants'.

It was a really good episode. I'm glad they've set up a reason for new mutants to keep showing up throughout the season and April's meltdown at the end was both shocking and completely understandable at the same time.

"What's with the inconsistent Mutagen?" REALLY? ARE YOU SERIOUS?

It's literally called 'Mutagen'. Do you know what that even is? It mutates organisms. Mutations are some of the most inconsistent scientific reactions - they pretty much do whatever the hell they want!

So why can the turtles talk and have enough focus to be able to be trained in martial arts? Why aren't they random growling monsters covered in spikes and such?

because the mutagen is random :3

Pigeon Pete was able to talk and think and be calm :D

so the Turtles and Splinter just got extremely lucky XD

Leatherhead's fits of anger seem to be a result of the Kraang's efforts to try and control his mind. The way I see it, his mutation alone came with his intelligence and personality(like the turtles and splinter)... However, because the Kraang were trying to crack his mind during their experiments to use him as a living weapon("They could not break my spirit"), it's left his brain damaged. His mind is healing though... and he's getting better at controlling it.

I thought the season premiere was great; it perfectly sets up the major story arc for this season along with other potential arcs (mutagen creating more mutant villains/allies, the turtles having to collect all of the lost mutagen, repairing their relationship with April, finding a cure for Kirby, Shredder leaving for Japan, the Foot's dynamic with the Kraang, the introduction to Casey Jones, etc). It's a perfect way to set things in motion, which is what a sophomore season opener should be like. I'm very excited how all of it plays out over the course of this season.

I agree. My better half was thinking the same thing as well. Mikey was actually big enough to own up to their mistakes. I was expecting Don to be the one to up and tell her, so I think it was very mature of Mikey to tell the truth. She probably would have been even more upset had they waited longer to tell her. Besides, lying by omission is a very dangerous thing to do period. It is a Very poor foundation on which to build any lasting relationship. So kudos to Mikey.

Yeah, Mikey's honesty is definitely one of his positive character traits. Remember when the Turtle's lost the power-cell and Leatherhead said he trusted they did all they could to protect it? Mikey was going to be honest with him had Raph not stopped him.

I don't think Mikey was being the bigger person in this case. I think the writers have consistently made a point that Mikey is the least mature/intelligent of the group. He told April the truth because he didn't know any better and thought nothing of it until he realized it was a mistake.

Sitting here at work I realized this whole story arc could result in the ooze launching turtles action figure designs actually making an appearance in the show. You have the final episode of the arc see a huge outbreak of mutants rioting through out New York and Donatello designing the ooze launchers as a way to distribute his newly developed anti-mutagen (which he used to restore Tim) an contain the outbreak.

Heck I can even hear Donatello say now "the only problem is if we come into contact with even a drop of this stuff (gulp) it's back to the pet store."

I can also see having to use up the entire supply of the anti-mutagen to stop the outbreak as a way to explain away why Splinter is forced to stay mutated and it also act as an explanation for why Dogpound, Fishface, etc. are left mutated as well.

Not to mention the fact that the anti-mutagen is unable to be replicated because a significant ingredient was something Tim secreted as the Mutagen Man.

So we could assume none of them will be returning. or assume that those are just the ones that dont work for shredder, seeing how baxter isnt shown, since he doesnt work for shredder anymore. if thats the case, then that means spiderbytes and newtralizer would be working with shredder

Not a bad start, but not the best either. I kind of wish they would of mutated April's dad a little later, after all we did just get him back from the Kraang. Seems a little to early to start another "Oh no, Aprils dad is in another crisis" thing I guess.

But I was really into the plot twist of April being mad at the turtles, I'm excited to see where this season will go and how it will progress the characters. It's looking awesome and fun.

I have a hard time believing the actual Wingnut is going to show up now. Seems that early sketch for Wingnut/Screwloose was probably scraped when they got the idea to turn Kirby into a bat instead, but had Mikey call him Wingnut as an easter egg.

Yes Wingnut/Screwloose are aliens, but I really can't see them having two bat creatures show up with the other one having the same name Mikey called Kirby.

In fact judging by the upcoming toy lineup, we won't be seeing any of the old Mutanimal characters in this show, at least not anytime soon.

What prompt you to believe that Spiderbytes and Newtralizer would have/will be working with the Shredder ? Just because they are in the intro and Baxter works solo now ? That's really not a very good explanation. I don't think they want have every mutant villain on the show working with/for Shredderot this season be devoted to "Night Of The Rouges". I think they all can do damage on their own.

So...is Mikey just gonna spout random stuff now? Cottage Cheese Demon, Talking Cupcakes, Space Yeast on Jupiter? Come on now....

Well this episode just further supports my notion that Nick Mikey is dumb (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showpost.php?p=1120270&postcount=9).

Reading some blogs, I think we (or rather me) forgot that April blaming everything on the turtles was a bit unfair. They did try to stop that from happening.

Yeah, but a significant reason April got upset was because the Turtles were trying to conceal the truth from April, of what happened on that spaceship. And that the Turtles were partly responsible. Remember the other three kept signaling Mikey to be quiet?

People don't mature that fast. Besides, they kinda can't, since their more teenage immature attitude is what makes them different from all the other versions.

One would think that dealing with nearly lethal fights almost every 2-3 days would have matured them quickly, especially when Raph almost lost Leo in the season 1 finale. But whatever...

The gloating with the Turtles was somewhat understandable, but it became excessive in terms of filling 1/3 of the episode. It could have been an excellent opportunity to show some type of brother bonding outside of their fighting, but it was a perpetual gloat fest. I still think mutating Kirby (April's Dad) was over-the-top and an unnecessary writing device to wedge something in between April and the Turtles. Plus, the show still didn't fully explain why the Kraang kidnapped Kirby in the first place. Furthermore, it forcefully pushed aside the developing budding father-daughter relationship (that we hardly get explored in other TMNT versions). Okay... :ohwell:

Why is this series so focus on mutants now? I mean, yeah, I understand its a chance to reinvent a new TMNT series, but it seems like more of the excitement is around what new animal or thing can be mutated rather than the actual storytelling. As I stated before (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showpost.php?p=1166576&postcount=45), its odd that there's a trend of many things the Turtles get close to, seems to get mutated. If theses writers are not careful, some viewers are going to see the mutation trend as a shallow writing stunt to create drama.
I don't know...:ohwell: I wish these Turtles would actually start infiltrating crime rings and be more involved in human-oriented plots, or at least using some of the mutants from season 1 to add more depth to those mutant villains, rather than the audience expecting some new mutant coming up with each episode.

I did like April turning on the Turtles, and her anger was justifiable, but I just don't think it was effectively done as I would have liked it.

...Oh and a big ol' plot hole: What happened to that T-Rocket after it launched? I'm sure it crashed somewhere in the busy NYC streets, drawing even more unnecessary attention to them.

Overall this was more or less a neutral episode for me. I'm neither disappointed nor excited, its the standard Nick episode:
A new Donatello invention? Check
Unrequited love/crush between Donatello and April? Check
Leonardo heroically saving the day? Check, in landing onto Kirby and placing him in a cage
Mikey acting dumb and annoying as usual, with Raph yelling at him? Check
A new mutant? Check

Yeah, this episode pretty much fits the criteria for the standard episode. **shrug** Then again, who knows it could all, hopefully, lead up to something more suspenseful and dramatic later on in the season.

Just watched it. It was pretty good...not my favorite, but a good intro to the rest of the season. I must say, I was not impressed by Mikey at all. I usually like Nick Mikey, but his jokes aren't usually so...random. Talking cupcakes??? And as others have said, I can understand that mutagen is random (Timothy) but I till wonder why Kirby cannot talk as a mutant. I even said that to my boys as we were watching it. Granted Timothy seems to have lost his mind as well...so who knows. Don was good in this episode. He had some emotional moments. I can understand April being upset. Also, why are the turtles over indulging in their victory, did they just up and forget that the last time they got this cocky, they got their asses handed to them and damn near died? Also, I hope April doesn't become a colossal b*tch as the season progresses.

Can we take a moment from all the hating on the episode and talk about how beautifully done the raining mutagen containers were. That was seriously just such an amazing visual... Even if based on the speed and trajectory of the stealth ship it would. Have never happened as beautifully.

Still since it felt the whole episode was about those canisters falling and the start of the mutagen situation story arc. I think they at least gave us some pay off in that moment.

I liked that bit too. Reminded me a lot of the show Falling Skies episode when the volm first appear.

I loved this episode and thought it was good for a season opener. The Turtles getting cocky about their victory is understandable because they just saved the world and feel that things will get back to normal now. Sure, they didn't learn their lesson from before, but when do teenagers ever learn their lesson right away? They don't. I felt sorry for Kirby though having to be mutated like that. Poor guy just gets reunited with his daughter and they have to turn him into a bat. As for him not touching the bat, I think he did on the way down and they just didn't show it. Mikey was funny in this episode, and I think him telling April the truth was the right thing to do. He was only feeling nonchalant about it because he figured that since they saved the world from the Kraang before that it would be an easy fix. I loved his costume as well and him calling Kirby Wingnut was pretty cool and a good Easter egg. April being mad at the Turtles was a good twist and a great way to develop her character since so many here are so mad about that. Overall, a really good episode, and I can't wait to see what else they do with this show.

It's questions like these that suggests that the show is suffering a severe case of sequelitis, and that the turtles have learned NOTHING from the first season.

I do hope they patch things up between April and the guys. I don't want her to turn on the turtles join The Kraang in helping to destroy them or some crap like that. I understand her being upset but yeah that was heavy. Also, its in Mikey's character to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.

The parts I loved in this episode were:

Donnie's face when he says "it has butt cannons" and then the bio droid is shown shooting at the turtles with the butt cannons with its hands pressed against the wall like he was twerking.

And the dramatic hamster homage was awesome!

My overall take was this was a good episode, not great, but the set up into the rest of the season is great. Makes me much more excited for the next episode and moving further forward, so in the end, the episode did what it was supposed to.

Finaly got to see the episode on iTunes, it was pretty good, but not as good as I thought it would be.

The Good

-Turtflytle was pretty cool.
-I liked Kirby's designs
-nice new opening images
-Timothy and Metalhead appearence!
-I liked the Dodgeball scene
-good ending
-DRAMATIC HAMSTER/MEERCAT!!

The Bad
-Mikey is getting dumber each episode
-Every episode this season will probably be a toy commercial

I loved this episode and thought it was good for a season opener. The Turtles getting cocky about their victory is understandable because they just saved the world and feel that things will get back t normal now. He was only feeling nonchalant about it becasue he fightued that since they saved the world from the Kraang before that it would be an easy fix. I loved his costume as well and him calling Kirby Wingnut was pretty cool and a good Easter egg. April being mad at the Turtles was a good twist and a great way to develop her character since so many here are so mad about that. Overall, a really good episode, and I can't wait to see what else they do with this show.

Favorite quotes:

Raph: For the fifty seventh time, there was no cottage cheese demon!
Mikey: Did you see him. Huh?
Raph: No.
Mikey: Then how do you know he wasn't there?
Raph: What--That--That doesn't even make any--Okay, man, if you say so.

Splinter: I know you are reveling in your victory over our enemies, but a greater question remains.
Mikey: Can cupcakes talk?
Splinter: Are our enemies truly defeated or are they still out there?

Donnie: It looks like it's picking up an interdimensional signal which can only mean one thing.
Mikey: Cupcakes CAN talk.
Leo: The Kraang are back.

Mikey: I feel like bait.
Raph: Aw, don't think of yourself as bait, Mikey. Think of yourself as a superhero. And your name will be--
Mikey: Turtflytle. Tur-fly-tle. So awesome. And what are my superpowers?
Leo: You can hang from a rope.
Mikey: This is sweet.

Raph: Don't get your ninja undies in a knot, Donnie.

Leo: Guys, I think the bat was Mr. O'Neil.
Mikey: How can you tell?
Leo: Have you seen any red-bearded middle aged bats lately?

And that's all I can think of for quotes. See you next week, guys.

My better half and I were discussing April's reaction at the end of the episode over dinner last night. Becca was saying that April's still just a kid herself and she's naturally going to cope by getting angry with the guys. Bec's mom passed away from terminal cancer that was thought to have gone into remission not too long ago. Another family member of her's dealt with it the same way April seems to be dealing with her father's mutation if that makes sense. It's not an easy thing having someone you care about being ripped away from you especially after you think the danger has passed. So yeah, people are often going to say things they don't mean in situations like these. Lashing out at others closest to you when faced with such a situation isn't very pretty and I'm not saying it's the right thing to do, but it does happen and it's to be expected from time to time. It's all part of being human. So needless to say we weren't all that surprised when seeing April do this. We also agree with ya 100 percent about Mikey's honesty. We feel it was him simply doing the right thing and that it had nothing to do with the attempts of writers to dumb him down.

I'm wondering if she's disgusted with herself as well as the turtles. I imagine she's probably thinking she should have moved sooner. Of course she's probably too angry with the boys to admit that just now. I suppose we'll just have to give it a couple episodes. Hopefully not too many.

Well, she obviously does show up before the finale.

Not sure if you have been paying attention to any information on season 2 but at the NYCC TMNT panel, they had animatics of April in an episode. Also, they're bringing in Casey and if you haven't seen any trailers for him, he's saving April from Mutagen Man... Clearly, she's going to show before the finale.

Maybe Donnie gets hurt trying to protect April from Mutagen Man and that reminds her that her Father was mutated because he had been trying to protect her.

Originally she was in shock by seeing a mutation take place and then hearing Mikey honestly inform her that they were the ones responsible her fathers Mutation just sent her over the edge.

As for Mikey I feel it was rather mature on his part to be honest and admit that. yeah they were cocky and something went wrong on the fight in the Kraang Ship resulting in mutagen getting spilled through out the city. And her father was seriously effected as a result. But it would have been better if he hadn't sounded like he was proud of it.

Maybe there should be a later moment where Donnie does promise to restore her father's humanity again...and April just says "Donnie, please don't promise what you know is impossible."

Very nice episode. A good opening for the new season. Not the best episode but I enjoyed it.

Animation, coloring, art, everything seems to have improved from last season. I especially enjoyed the turtles' expressions, the fluid motions and those action scenes on the ship and later with the mutated Kirby. Everything feels more vivid and alive now.

Mikey felt off though in this episode. Too many interruptions and he seemed at this worst in some of the scenes, although he also had some funny moments. Enjoyed his fly costume, how he assured Mr. O'Neill everything would be alright, and (how odd that may sound) his confession that they were to blame for the mutagen spill.

At first I didn't like how he brought the news to April, but looking back he tried (in his own clumsy way) to reassure April everything would be alright, and secondly he didn't want April to carry the burden of blaming herself for what happened. I'm still annoyed the other turtles wanted to hide the truth from April about their (unwanted) role about the Mutagen release.

The scene where April was angry at the turtles was painful to watch, but her reaction was understandable. Whenever she looks at the turtles now, she only sees the faces of those she associates with what happened to her dad. And this time she has no idea if she'll ever see her dad again or if he even can be saved.

Also, "I'll swear by Darwin's beard." Oh, come on. Couldn't the writers come up with something better? That one sentence detracted from the scene.

It was good to see Shredder and Karai as well. It was also a nice touch seeing Donnie trying to help Timothy.

Nice episode, especially fun to watch because of the action and expressions, but hopefully Mikey's portrayal here isn't an indication of future episodes.

IDK guys...this whole Donnie and April thing is kinda making him seem like the most important turtle.

The show has followed trends. Donnie did become the most important turtle by the end of Season 1, probably the last 4 episodes because of Timothy, April, and saving her dad.

But during the meat of the season from New Girl in Town to Enemy of my Enemy, Leo became the most important turtle because of his relationship with Karai.

Each turtle will become more important during the season depending on who the supporting character is being focused on.

also Am I still the only one that doesn't like how Donnie seems to be the only one assuring April and trying to take on helping her dad by himself?

Because if there is a cure for the mutagen to be found, he is the only one who could potentially find it.

When he said his brothers and himself would find her father, it's because he knew he would need his brothers help for the search and rescue missions.

But when it comes to the sciencey stuff he's pretty much alone in that department. Still at this point promising to restore her dad's humanity is like promising the impossible. If he says "I can't promise I will be able to restore your father's humanity, but I will do everything within my power to try." later on that would be more realistic then "I swear by Darwins beard I will not rest until I have returned your father to normal."

My first reaction was more like "Wait...What did he say?" The second time I had to chuckle a bit though, but it still takes away a bit from the seriousness of the scene.

I understand what you mean. It's something that happened in season 1 as well. It was often Donnie who stepped in. Although I like Donnie/April interactions, they overshadow April's interactions with the other turtles.

I feel the same as you do. And the more I think about it, the more I'm disappointed with the others not telling April the truth, and especially because it would mean letting April blame herself for what happpened. At least Mikey was being honest toward April, but he could have done it in a better way.

I do like the fact that they can play off Kirby becoming a bat.

Since bats use radar, the turtles can use the radar dishes that are set up around the city to detect Kirby's radar, thus knowing when and where he is around the city. So they can always make an attempt to get him back.

Kinda cool to see them think of things like this.

So a little point my bro brought up that made me both died laughing and face plam. When the ooze is falling from the sky it hits various things. Such as cars, buildings, swing sets, pavement and various roofs. Besides the one in the allley the only canistor that smash was the one that hit Kirby... So the dozens of other hard objects/surfaces didn't break the canistors but hitting a human (who would soon be rendered unconcious by such a thing) breaks it? That just makes the mutation more contrived.

I was honestly thinking that cannister woulda konked April on the head, rather than mutate her. The bigger risk was it falling real near to her and have some splash on her if it shattered.

Since Mikey called him Wingnut, I'm almost wondering if Screwloose will come in and his bite will complete/stabilize Kirby's mutation (creating a symbiosis, similar to how Screwloose's bite was the only way Wingnut could sleep in the Archie series.) Maybe being a giant bat mutant instead of a frail scientist will inspire Kirby to fight the Kraang, and they'll build a task force that loosely references the Mutanimals?

Finally saw it.

It's alright. I expect all the criticism you guys came up with the show prepared me for the bad points of the episode. It never bugged me.

I'm more amazed it took weeks in-universe between season 1 and 2. Thought it was a few days.

I like how the animation went way up. April is a LOT more expressive now, her eyes react more and the way her bangs and ponytail swaying whenever she moves her head is really appreciated.

The action scenes are amazingly well paced.

As for the story, it's alright. I am stunned Mikey never took the mutation of Kirby seriously, but I like how the breakdown between Don and April's friendship was portrayed. I am worried this is the convenient way for the writers to get rid of April offscreen for 10 plus episodes, but fortunately the previews says otherwise. I also wish Karai talked, but I'm glad she's there.

That's something I'm a bit worried about as well. That season 2 seems to have even more "mutant-of the-week" episodes with a few "plot-advancing" episodes sprinkled inbetween.

At this point I'm more looking forward to certain character interactions/developments (Like Casey/turtles/April and Leo/Karai) than the current main story itself.

On the other hand, this season could very well surprise us.

Actually there's a bunch shown in the episode that cracked open and were leaking. As for why it didn't knock him unconscious. Maybe the materials for the canisters defy Earth-based physics or are made from alien materials and have different physical properties as a result. I don't know man, it's a cartoon on Nickeldeon about talking mutated turtles that practice ninjitsu in the sewer. This ain't NOVA.

I didn't say it was boring. I just feel that they are starting to overdo a lot of stuff that I do not like. For instance, mikey's IQ seems to be dropping ep after ep, and I really don't dig the overuse of fart jokes and such. I get it's a kids show and all, but yeah. I already knew the mutant of the week thing was gonna be the norm this season, so that really doesn't bother me as much. There was something about the way the ep was written that also made me dislike it. Maybe it's because they tried to cram too much stuff in one ep, IDK.
Fight scene against the gorilla was pretty brutal though, I really dug it. I mean, raph ****ing stabbed the thing in the back, twice. Also, mikey pulled the head of it up in a way that definitely make it look like he was holding it there so Leo could decapitate the thing. Awesome. I really liked the few seconds of the opening sequence that were new. More villains shown and Casey! I liked the Game Boy reference and the Wingnut reference in there as well. As some one else mentioned, with all of these mutagen canisters every where, will we see a Screwloose character come into play too? I also feel that the ending with April and Donnie is what may push April to Casey Jones too.

Did anyone else think that when they were building up as to how to catch Kirby after he mutated into a bat, that they would try and find Spider Bytez? I thought that until I saw "Butterfly Mikey"!

i havent had a chance to read this thread yet, but i watched the episode at NYCC, and it was terrible. Everything I hated about season 1 was amplified and nothing i liked from season 1 was present. The crowd reaction was the complete opposite from my own, and most of the crowd was around my age, which honestly shocks me. Good on Nick for creating a show for a new generation. Reading through the comments, that seems to be the consensus around here. I really like this version of Mikey overall, but I do think some of his jokes fell a little flat in this one. He's a tricky character to do though. And comedy is notoriously hard to write well. I don't know if I'd say he's getting dumber as the series goes on (remember, he pulled off some pretty clever stuff in Parasitica), I just think it varies from writer to writer. The whole "look at Mikey do/say random dumb thing" seems like a bit of a crutch used in lieu of wittier jokes and banter.

Fight scene against the gorilla was pretty brutal though, I really dug it. I mean, raph ****ing stabbed the thing in the back, twice. Well I'm late to the party, but I thought this one was pretty good. Maybe not the strongest episode on its own, but it set up some interesting things to look forward to. Some points:

- I'm not crazy about Kirby/Wingnut's design, it's not really doing it for me... but I am looking forward to new mutants. The "mutant-of-the-week" thing is growing on me some, I'm happy with most of what the Nick crew has come up with so far.
- Love the new additions to the intro. Badass Casey Jones creeping around at the end... bring him on!!
- Butt cannons has to be a reference to Astro Boy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV-aEPk9_4o)
- Splinter's brief freak out over mention of felines (A CAT??!!) made me lose it. Can't imagine he's going to warm up to ICK very well.
- I like to see the turtles screw up here and there, it gives their characters some dimension. I like how it really came back to bite them in this one too, which again played into Splinter's warning that they were getting too cocky. I'm betting April won't be gone for long, but yeah... I got a feeling this is setup for her and Casey meeting up. Which would be fine in my book, but I'm probably gonna avoid tumblr that week... :ohwell:

I feel like they should have aired another ep alongside Mutation Situation. Felt more like a prologue to the second season. The best is undoubtedly yet to come. I'm looking forward to next weekend.

And yet Karai lacks a toy despite being very prominent. Maybe they'll chuck Mondo and the like in but hesitate with the toys?

episode was definitely leaning more towards the silly vibe...

still though, the show's strong points hold up

Oh, btw, am I the only one who is annoyed by the fact that they keep reusing the same models/locations? Like the rooftop that has the triangle shaped sky window, the warehouse, etc? I think I even saw Bradford's dog being reused at some point...

I don't know why this would be annoying? The turtles have favorite spots they like to go to, or they hang around the buildings and streets near their home. It makes perfect sense to me and seems quite intentional, not laziness.

I hope next weeks episode will be better. Squirrels make everything better.

Eh, it's not really intentional. I get what you're saying, but it really has more to do with budget restraints. The environments are one thing, but character models are painfully reused as well. It's not really the Nick team's fault, it's just the limitations of CGI. (And yeah that was the Hachiko dog model on that fire escape, wasn't it? I caught that too.)

I think those of us who cap/gif the show are a little more sensitive to this sort of thing though. :twink:

Other shows reuse environments too from time to time. I don't see the fuss much.

Finally saw it. Bust out laughing when Mikey was dressed in the bug costume and he said, "I feel like bait". Also loved how concerned Raph was when Donnie fell when they were in the midst of trapping Kirby.

The entire rest of the episode I could have done without.

Oh. But seeing Casey in the theme song was AWESOME!!! I reeeeeally hope we get to see him in action soon.

I had half expected Raph or maybe Leo to have a bro moment with Donnie seeing as he just had his heart broken in front of them. I know that they had more important things to deal with such as the mutagen.
And the others do give him a concerned glance in his direction when he does say "Poor April." But were otherwise sort of just giving Donnie space. Perhaps in the next episode or maybe a later episode we may see Leo or Raph maybe check on him to see if he's okay.

Of all of them, Leo is more likely to understand what Donnie is going through since he hasn't quite suffered through heart break or at least not to the same extent that his brother is. But being betrayed by Karai and losing Karai's trust has put him through a sort of similar kinda hurt.

Raph on the other hand has been known to be comforting to his brothers when he thinks they need it.

As for Mikey I was hoping for a bit of tension between him and Donnie since he is the reason April is upset with them. Again this is probably something that will be apart of the next episode or upcoming episode.

Aside from Mikey being more idiotic then he ever has, this was another fun episode.

With the exception of a few of Mikey's jokes falling flat, I really liked the the episode. It can be hard to write humor though. I loved the fight scene in the stealth ship, the action was well choreographed especially Leo's death blow. I really like the design of Kirby Bat, its very horror sci fi mutation rather than just large man bat. It seems like the CG has gotten better as well.

Okay, guys. When I was worried about what I heard from this episode, I'll admit, I didn't watch the episode yet. I still don't have cable or Direct TV. Stupid moving.:tgrumble:

Anyway, I have finally watched the episode. Here's my reaction:

:tgrin:This episode was awesome! I worried for no reason.:toops:

First off, when April was angry, I felt bad for the turtles. I can't believe it.:tsad: But you know what- it really wasn't their fault. It was Mikey's. He's still the one that opened that hatch. I mean, I'd call it a hatch, but I'm not sure what you guys would call it. I guess that Splinter felt that if Mikey goes down, they all go down. Yes, they were very cocky. However, I'd like to see them confident more so they don't mope around. Still, they must settle down.

The only things I didn't like wasn't Mikey's dumb moments, but the fact that the turtles played with the Kraang orb for dodgeball. That wasn't a smart idea. Man, that Kraang battle really got to their heads, didn't it?:tgrumble: However, everyone was in character. That's all that mattered.:tcool:

Anyway - the scene where they're battling the Biotroid was interesting. When I mean "interesting," I mean "not as funny when you hear the fart noises, but still something to laugh at.":tlol: It was driving me crazy to hear those sounds. But, I'm sorry. The best part of the episodes came from the action. Seeing Raph stabbing the Biotroid was interesting. I haven't seen stabbing done yet. Maybe that's what Nieli meant by "maturing." Anyways, the minute Leo came in and stabbed the head, that was epic. I didn't want to see blood, but I was surprised the animators used a skull. Symbolism? Besides "death," "Casey Jones," right? It was still cool.:tcool:

The scene where Mike is the "turflytle" and kept saying "buzz buzz" in every sentence made me chuckle. Very funny. Did come off annoying, but it was still good comedy. It applied to the situation and Mike's sense of humor. But, wow. When Leo got off his hang glider to jump on top of Kirby, I was like, "Wow. Is it me, or does this remind me of Batman grabbing onto Man-Bat in "On Leather Wings"? That was the coolest thing I have seen for the second year, thus far.:tgrin: It was a great episode. Bring on the squirrel!

And you guys are funny. I have seen that video before, so when I saw the squirrel, I was like "Hilarious!":tlol:

The animation looked the same as season 1 to me, what parts improved?

The lighting, to me, looked a bit more polished.

The facial expressions of the turtles seem more "alive"/"expressive" as well.

It's not easy to put your finger on it, but everything just feels a bit more smooth, polished and better colored in comparison with season 1.

I agree, the anamation looks way better. Compare it to Rise Of The Turtles. It's way better.

Yeah my sweetie was talking about that this past weekend. She noticed that as well. No telling how well everything will look about 2 or so seasons down the road. Neat to see how a show evolves visually over time.

I'd say the most visually evolving show was Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It looked so amazing in season five.

Yeah I was just thinking about that! Gotta purchase my copy of s5 while I'm thinking about it. Hit the shelves today. Hopefully Turtles will look that good if Nick gives us up to 5 seasons.

correct me if i wrong but unless kranng prime little brain drain cured her isnt april immune to mutagen obivously she left out the little detial to her father so he like any good parent took the hit for nothing so if anyone to blame it april for not telling her father everything the biodrid was a new element the turtle didnt foresee even if they were a little cocky so it wasnt all thier fault.

We know she's unaffected by Kraang water and that was only one time which wierded her out. It's not so certain about the mutagen.

As for her getting mad for the at the turtles. Yeah it was an accident. But she had got her father back just a couple months ago. And she was reluctant about involving her father in the mission because he's already suffering from PTSD after what the Kraang have been doing to him for nearly a year. And the fact that she felt guilty because had to lie to him in order to get him to help.
So when her dad mutates she is in shock because she had never actually seen a mutation happen. And worse yet the person who was mutated was her father.

At this point the mutation process is permanent so as far she knows her dad is going to be this hideous freak permanently. So being told that the Turtles are responsible for the mutation, on top of all this emotional back log of horror, guilt, grief and other such emotion it was enough to send the poor girl over the edge.

Got to see this in its entirety at NYCC with a chunk of the cast. Too rad!
