We've had two versions of the story arc, which do you prefer so far? Granted the second season things sound like they are going to heat up again soon between them, rivalry wise I meanXD Plus other stuff, we all know what's coming soon I'm sure. Any ways, so far which arc do you like better? You can chose both I guess, it's kind of hard for me decide myself, I've been enjoying this series so far but 2003 one had it's good points too, matter of fact that was one of my favorite aspects of that series. Your opinion please :D

Way too early to ask this question. We still have to see the fallout of Nick Karai knowing who her real father is, and how exactly she's going to react to all of that toward Saki, Splinter, and Leo.
Forget about the subplot of her on-off crush thing between her and Leo.

Do we really need the millionth 4kids Vs. Nick cartoon thread?

I said nothing about the crush, I also said I know it's way too early for this and just wanted every ones opinion on it so far. People can keep voting after season two or during it whatever...We are going to get some interesting reactions over this from Leo over this that's for sure..
Cybs, don't act like you don't do this, if any thing your the one who does this th most, just chill :ohwell:

Um... isn't the crush important since it is involving Leo & Karai? And this question is about a Leo/Karai arc? :-?
The reason I would say, it's too early to even compare (and to forget about the crush) is because the most we know about Nick Karai is just from her relationships to Yoshi, Saki, and Leo. We hardly even know about Nick Karai herself outside of these 3 men in her life, except for the very brief altercation she had with Nick April. At least if I can see the fallout from this revelation of Karai realizing Yoshi is her father, at least it would give her more of an identity rather than her being noted as "Leo's crush", "Yoshi's daughter", and "Saki's daughter".
It would be like comparing one complete novel (4Kids) to a novel where we only read 1/7 of the book (Nick), and the character (Karai) isn't even fully established yet!
:ohwell:I dunna know, I gotta know more about Nick Karai herself before I can even make a guess on which arc is better.
I liked the beginning of the Leo/Karai story arc in the 2k3 series, but I pretty much hated it how they made Karai a villain (a role which didn't suit her at all) And made it even worse by never showing how a truce/peace was finally established between Karai and the turtles. We only know that she was invited to the wedding at the end of the series.
I found that almost an insult to the fans who wanted to see this issue resolved on-screen. Even if it was just one scene between Leo and Karai, it would have given a sense of closure.

I liked the season 1 story arc between Leo and Karai in the 2k12 series, but I can't vote on this poll until we know what happens in season 2. Although, according to the interview posted in the season 2 info thread, they have a lot of things planned for Karai and the role she'll play in season 2.
But if in this series they'll resolve the Leo/Karai story arc (which I'm almost certain they will) then I'm almost 100% sure I'll vote for the 2k12 series.

Ok Not commenting on anymore 4kids vs Nick threads anymore. This is the 7th one within 3 days. And they end the same everytime. First we get the unsure people than we get compliments. And than we get bashers and lately from the same 3 members in almost every thread. For people who seem to hate 4kids so much they make an extreme effort to post in every thread.

2k12 of course.

I don't see any bashing of the 2k3 series in this thread. (So far) Unless of course you see people having an opinion as bashing.
I really enjoyed the 2k3 series (at least the first 4 seasons) and I really liked some of the episodes from FF and BttS, but there were also things I didn't like as much.
As for the 2k3/2k12 threads, you may have a point but the moderator has to decide on that.

No having an opinion is fine. What I mean is voicing your opinion but then adding 2k3 suck because it did this afterwards. Out respect I'm not mentioning the Users who have done this the most.

Thank you for the reply. My apologies for my last post, it may have come across as rude/mean. That really wasn't my intention.

I did enjoy the 2003 version of herself and the way she felt conflicted between her duty to the Foot and her honor. And I thought she had closure when she and chapman walked off into the sunset together at the end of the Ninja Tribunal Arc.
However in preference I like Karai in this version because of how she seems to play both fields. Her relationship with Leo in her first appearance we know she's more then likely just playing with his interest in her. But parts of it were real, and those are harder to point out.
And how she had resentment towards all the Turtles now because they tried to kill her father when she said she'd help them get something to take down the Kraang ship. So having her learn she's actually Splinters daughter and that the man she had believed to to be her father was the man who really murdered her mother. It would be hard for her to truly deal with and accept.

I like the way Karai was portrayed in 2k3 as a sot of in-between villain. I feel like this series should have a character who flips back and forth, and Karai fits the bill perfectly like. I wouldn't like her nearly as much if she was an outright ally with the turtles, and watching her struggle to decide who she is is interesting and can be very complex. I can't say I'm all too crazy with how she began acting later in the series, but the first few seasons were awesome. Likewise, her relationship with Leo seemed to feel deep, that they shared this mutual belief in honor and morals, but couldn't quite understand how the other chose to follow them out.
That's my biggest beef with 2k12 Karai and Leo, in that once again a turtle decided a girl was the bees knees purely because she was pretty (oh hey, Karai can fight, I guess that gives her extra brownie points). It really tainted the whole thing for me. I'm still withholding actual judgement on Karai herself however until we see a bit more of her, because it was quite interesting to see how sad she got when she told Leo she thought he was her friend. The way she treated him was strange as a 'friendship', but if that's how she saw it then I like it. But the way Leo interacts with her? Please no.

2k3 Karai was too wishy washy for me to be likeable. It's hard to be sympathetic to her struggles of loyalty when her dad is an irredeemable jerk in the first place.
2k12's version is too soon to judge. I really like how Leo's own screwups destroyed their budding friendship though. They did that a lot better than Exodus' "I accidentally stabbed him". That was really... lame.

2012 Karai has more freedom since she is mostly 'Karai in name only' and can do whatever she wants.
2K3 Karai is sloppy because she started like 'Mirage Karai' and then her character got messed up since a Mirage Karai does not work with the Shredder still being alive, and being an underling to him. There was no reason for to keep switching loyalties other than 'we want to make her Mirage Karai... but working under Shredder'.
