We have a thread in the toy section already, but I know many people rarely go there, if ever.

Turtles had a nice lead over My Little Pony for a while, but completely lost it over the weekend. Chip in and vote!

My Little Pony is leading currently at 28% to TMNT's 23%.

Goddamn 35 year old bronies. I just can't understand how those adult virgins obsess over their ponies at their age. They don't even have any kids to use the excuse that they play with the dolls with their daughters. Makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it.

I'm not even going to respond to this. I'm just going to quote it and let it be.

I also can not understand for the life of me why that grown men like My Little Pony. I HATED My Little Pony when my sister played with them and I STILL do! Our beloved Turtles are VASTLY more bodacious than those stupid things will ever be.

Wow, you really are a hateful little man, y'know? How about in future you just keep your mouth shut, instead of commenting on things you obviously have no knowledge about?

Yeah I thought the same thing when I read Cubed's rant..."Same could be said of TMNT."

In fact:

"Guldern 35 year old Shell-Backs! I just can't understand how those adult virgins obsess over their Turtles at their age. They don't even have any kids to use the excuse that they play with the figures with their kids. Makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it."

The fact is you guys know good and well the majority of My Little Pony fans are 35 year old adults instead of 8 year old girls like it should be.

And they're fans for all the wrong reasons. They're basically furries and are attracted to animals and draw them in sexual themes. They're the worst kind if fandom.

Yes, because there aren't dark recesses of this very franchise that has the same predilections.

Then again, I often wonder if you say these things just to spur people on....

It's ok. Small penance for the countless times you've made us sick. Now being one of those times, intolerant hypocritical ass.

Not only are you showing off your usual condescending attitude, but you are also showing your ignorance.

I have a real life friend who is a Rainbow Dash-loving brony. I thought it was kind of odd ball to be into as well, but I have never seen the TMNT fandom do This:

The fandom is considered to be charitable, raising money for a number of a different efforts. The Brony Thank You Fund was originally established to create a fan-funded advertisement to air on the Hub as a thank you to the show's creators in November 2012. The charitable drive far exceeded its goal, with additional funds used to give money to provide toys for children of United States military personnel through Toys For Tots.

The fund has since incorporated in the state of New Hampshire, and successfully registered as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization under United States law. They claim to be the first such media-related fandom to achieve this status.

Similarly, a group called "Bronies for Good" ran blood drives and raised over $60,000 during 2012 for charities like the Children's Cancer Association, Room to Read, CureSearch, and Your Siblings.

Voice actress Tara Strong has gained help from the fandom for her "Kiki's Cancer Fund" to help the daughter of a close friend who has been diagnosis with a brain tumor, and has stated that the child "wouldn't be alive today without the My Little Pony fans".[63] Faust enlisted help from the bronies to raise money for the Wildlife Learning Center in California, with the Center offering to name some of its animals after characters in the show when certain donation levels were raised.

Every fandom has it's weird 'sexualize everything' people - that's a result of our culture. Just like how there's casual fans, hardcore fans, and fans of every age. Most people on this forum are in the 20s and 30s... We have fans here who are in their 40s, 50s, even higher... are we all warped and disturbed too for liking a kids show?

So there's the options: A fandom that works together and makes the effort to be welcoming and help others....

...and then the self-absorbed elitist who considers himself the epitome of a 'real fan', who only serves to break up and alienate the fanbase.

I don't give a damn about My Little Pony, but cybercubed needs to get banned for this. He does nothing but ramble off negativity and ignorance. This forum would be a better place without him.

See how easy I changed that? The same could apply to any fandom. I'm not a brony, but I respect them for being so open about it.

Anyways,I voted, but MLP is in the lead.

Nice job, Machias.

Also, lest we forget, not only has the MLP "brand" been around longer than TMNT as a mainstream property, it was also HUGE in the '80s, arguably more popular than the TMNT toys for a time, if you can believe it. It had a toy first, it had a cartoon first, and it's remained a huge pop culture touchstone for many people, even before the modern reboot. Like it or not, you can still find people who aren't at all aware TMNT has had even one (let alone two) cartoon reboots, but *everyone* know what "My Little Pony" is. So while I love TMNT *more* than the next guy, let's just be fair, here. It's not like it's TMNT vs. Skeleton Warriors, or something. MLP is and has been a legitimate phenomenon, regardless of who's watching or why.

And on that note, honestly, who F'n cares? I've said this before, and maybe my POV is slanted, but I lean towards "None of my business" as far as people and their fetishes. From what I've learned about people, every single "normal" person has some kind of kink or fetish that would make absolutely everyone they know look at them like a whackjob if they knew. So it's best not to involve oneself in what other people get off on, because if you judge one person by what tickles their fancy, you literally have to judge every single other person alive. So if a bunch of grown-ups get a jolly watching a cartoon about talking ponies, who gives a sh*t, really, as long as they're not engaging in any kind of "questionable behavior" where you, I, or others can see it? Some people kidnap, rape, torture and then kill people because it's a "fetish". Thank GOD "Bronies" are otherwise occupied and their interests are relatively tame. Seriously.

*I* obviously think TMNT deserves the nod, but that's democracy for you. It won't be a criminal injustice if MLP gets the popular vote, it's just people expressing what they like. As others have said, there's a deviant side to TMNT and every other fandom, as well, and some of those people are people you'd never guess. That's called "real life". As far as the MLP show, I've only seen about 4 episodes and it's kinda funny, I can see why people would like it, including folks older than the target demo who are simply big fans of whimsy. Can't entirely see where the "other" demo comes from but hey, whatever people wanna do. Not my business.

But it's kind of stupid to rage against an entire fandom or group of people because you yourself don't "get it". Nobody's asking you to approve, after all. Do you have any idea how many people think our love of TMNT is stupid because we're not little kids? Hint: MOST people think our love for TMNT is stupid because we're not little kids.

So let's try and cool it on the judgmental stuff, if we can. I'm MORE judgmental by far than most people, but even I have a limit.

I respect them too, they like what they like, what can we do about it. Just never bring up the topic of fan fictions…..

Some kid at my school was telling me about my little pony, then he went onto saying he was writing a fan fiction which was going to be explicit, I asked him why he was making them explicit and he told me about some of the fan fiction he read and watch that almost made me puke! (I’m not even going to bother explaining how inappropriate he said it was! I am certainly scarred for life!) There is a reason I don’t read fan fictions…… any type of fan fiction.......

Needless to say Ninja Turtles better win, I never even heard of a my little pony action figure, do they even have any articulation!?!?!

From what I've seen, no. They sometimes do have real hair feel and brushes.

MLPs are probably one of the most bootlegged toys ever. Go to any Dollar Store and you're sure to find knock-off Ponies.

My half-sister lived with our grandmother and is 8 years older than me. When she turned 11, she decided she was too old for all of her toys and dumped them at my house, ostensibly so my Mom could give them to someone else's kids, which I guess she eventually did. But for a while I'd kinda have the My Little Ponies hang out on the side whenever He-Man and crew needed to rescue or protect someone from Skeletor and Co. F*ck it, I was 3 or 4 and I needed a Supporting Cast for when my toys would go to war behind the couch.

And you could totally brush their manes and tails, although they didn't have any articulation. Toys were a lot simpler back then, especially girls' toys.

I thought that title belonged to Power Rangers. It changed its name and slight uniform changes and then made real cheap from various incarnations platic prototype. I saw a Zeo one the other day.

Let's push the TMNT through. Come on don't let the colorful ponies get the best of the mean green machine.

I was torn between the two, seeing as both TMNT and MLP have been a part of my life for a very long time, and I still love them both a lot now (if I'm not poking around here, I'm likely on a pony forum). But after reading Cubed's comment I'm feeling highly inclined to vote ponies. I am neither in my 30's or a male, but such gross generalizations of an entire community that's just as dedicated over their toys and shows as this one really rubs me the wrong way.

Edit: Also, there are some ponies with articulation, just not a lot. Currently they have the "Crystal Motion" ponies with legs that move, and there are a few older gen ponies with the same type of feature. Overall though, their biggest play factor is their brushable hair. The more you know.
