The entire season so far is giving me a vibe that reminds me of the Outbreak Arc from the 2003 series. And the end of the last episode really confirmed it for me. Is anyone else getting this same vibe?

Yeah, sort of in a way with the mutagen canisters spread all over the city, though the Outbreak arc was different because Bishop was involved. Still, it makes for an interesting story.

Yeah, it does feel like the outbreak arc. But the writers during the NYC panel said the arc wouldn't last very long. I only watched it once but I remember them saying it'd evolve into something else entirely. I have no idea where they're taking us but I like what I've seen so far. I doubt we'll see much of that arc covered in Follow The Leader on Nov 2. Sounds like Karai is going to get wind of what they're up to and lead Leo into a trap. That'll be a nice little diversion since I like the Leo/Karai stuff. We'll probably see other story threads sprinkled throughout this season. We know a 3rd season is in the works so I imagine they'll set up plot points for later episodes.

Well lets say for the sake of argument that the Squirrelanoids, or any other mutants from this arc are mutation carriers. Perhaps a Good Genes arc would be good for season 3. Considering how slowly the 2nd mutation happened.
It could some point this season with one of the Turtles getting bitten, scratched, or whatever by one of the mutants in the outbreak. But it's not given much thought as nothing happens immediately. Then the beginning of the next season that Turtle would be suffering with a cold or flu like symptoms. Possible other side affects such as hostilely lashing out at his brothers for minor offences. Getting uncharacteristically brutal during fights or training. Which of course is the catalyst for the second mutation.
Then around mid-season said turtle should faint during or after a battle, or remain home from patrol due to the illness becoming to much of a problem. This results in a second Mutation, so when the Turtles get home they see Master Splinter maybe April and Casey trying to fend off a gigantic mutant turtle.
One of the turtles checks the bedrooms and informs everyone that their sick brother is missing. April points out that she felt something oddly familiar when they were fighting that creature. And Splinter surmises that the monster could in fact be their brother.
So now the Turtles not only have to deal with the Shredder, Kraang, various mutations, and other threats. But now they have to deal with the fact one of their own is a savage monster as well. Worse yet is if the Shredder gets his clutches on said Turtle.

There's still a possibility that Bishop could be involved in this arc, remember they've only scratched the surface as to why the Kraang are on Earth, or why they've been here for over 15 years.
There's still a chance that this arc could bring him involved in Season 3.

I'd like to see Bishop in this series at some point. He was my favorite 2k3 character. Who knows? He could show up.

i honestly don't see Bishop showing up before 3rd season. But I wouldn't be surprised if Alien activity and other things have caught his attention at this point.

Sounds good to me. only, if it would happen, then it would have to be mikey.
It was Leo in the 1987 series
It was Raph in the comics
It was Donnie in the 2003 series.
Only one left is Mikey.
