Hi all, I've always been bothered by the fact that in the episode Shredder Triumphant! 'ol Shred Head sent the Turtles to Dimension X, rather than the trans dimensional limbo. The latter would have proven the logical choice, as it seemed in the series much harder to escape from than Dimension X was. For example Baxter Stockman spent years there during each of his visits before getting out. So, what are your thoughts on this topic was it merely an oversight by the writers or was the 1987 Shredder just than much of a moron (as the 2003 Shredder would later claim in Turtles Forever)?
While we're on the subject. Shouldn't Donnie have sent the Technodrome to Limbo at the end of the episode rather than Dimension X?

They were put into slave trade in Dimension X, weren't they? They were working in one of Krang's slave labor mines.
He probably didn't expect them to escape...although that was silly of him.

Shredder/Krang just wanted to improve the economy of that region; of course this was still pre-Red Sky and if the Turtles ended stuck in limbo and the series ended, it would have been . While this wasn't the first time in the series in which slaves were used (Super Bebop and Mighty Rocksteady), the Turtles hadn't been yet as a team. Still, it was still fairly difficult to find a way back to Earth and dimensional limbo doesn't have any enemies threatening; but it would have been too harsh of a move for the tone of the series in which it would have left alot of viewers crying had the season ended with the Turtles stuck in limbo; it could have generated some buzz and would have made the Red Sky changes more believable with the Turtles no longer protecting Earth; and wouldn't have been a bad idea with dark series like X-Men and B:TAS around.
