View Full Version : Dogpound/Fishface = not much role in Season 2?

Dogpound/Fishface haven't been in any of the Season 2 episodes so far, and judging from episodes summaries and what we know from the future, it doesn't seem like they're going to get any major focus anytime soon. We also have the knowledge of Shredder bringing Tiger Claw into the Foot Clan, most likely as their replacements.

They're still in the opening so we should see them eventually, but does anyone think Dogpound/Fishface are being phased out? Maybe even being booted out of the Foot Clan?

A lot of people wrongly assumed they would be Shredder's henchmen for the whole show, like Bebop/Rocksteady in the original series, but I think this might not be the case. This Shredder isn't forgiving to failure, so he may not have a reason to keep them around.

I wouldn't really miss them all that much.

Maybe Xever since he was slightly more interesting, but since they never gave me a reason to like or care about Bradford, I could do without him the most.

I don't think they will be kicked out of the foot. They put in a lot of work and they are much stronger than regular foot soilders. They are probably just not getting a lot time on the show because the lost mutagen story doesn't really doesn't feature them. I have a feeling they will be more involved by the season s end. I would like to see them challenge tiger claw when they first meet, that'd be cool.

I don't think they've been kicked out of the Foot yet, but they may feel threatened once Tiger Claw comes around, especially Dogpound seeing as he was a student of Shredder. I do hope we see them at some point though.

The voice actor for FishFace posted that he was recording in the studio about a month ago (according to the Turtle voice actors they started recording S3 back in July) so he's at least around in S3.

Gotta agree with 909 Turtle Fan here. The amount of stuff going on in the season right now, there's no need to focus on them heavily this time around, however, since Tiger Claw is also going to be making his debut, they might come into the spotlight again, but only time will tell. :P

With Shredder in Japan, there's really not much for them to do. I doubt they'd go against his orders (no attacks on the turtles until he comes back). Karai on the other hand...

I reeeeally hope they're not gone, I absolutely love them. I was kinda hoping that they'd be who Slash teams up when he inevitably rages out.

Yeah, I've been critical of their absence during this series. I know that they can't be in every episode or anything, but you'd think they would be more involved (or at least mentioned) with the effects from the pivotal changes in the Foot Clan (i.e. using Kraang robots than actual humans for Foot Soldiers).

Well, we'll see how things develop...:ohwell:

I wouldn't worry about it. The show does suffer from a severe case of plot amnesia after all. Unless the episode is directly about someone we don't see or hear from them. I mean why isn't April looking for her dad got example? They'll probably be in the Tiger Claw episode since they'll be angry to be replaced. Although I would have liked to have seen a mutant trio. Why does shredder always have 2 mutants against 4 turtles? That's just bad math.

Well today's kind of proved this wrong a bit so far.

Too bad what happened doesn't make Bradford anymore interesting for me....

I guess I was right about them not staying the same forever like Bebop/Rocksteady though.

CC, the new episode has barely passed us by- could you spare the many users who didn't catch it the first time around your spoilers (Maybe you could edit your quote of it too, Coola?)? It's common courtesy, bro.

I suppose that was directed at me too, so I'll edit my post as well.

Yep, we were wrong about them not being around for this season. Loved what happened though.

I think this may be the end of the Fishface/Dogpound duo as we know it, and it won't be from Bradford's second mutation. I believe at this point, they're on different paths. Xever yearns to be human again. From his comment to his use of the butterfly knives in the last episode, there are subtle hints of him regaining his humanity. Bradford, however, wants respect. Through fear. Something he learned from being Shredder's protege. He only wishes to be human to regain his abilities. He hates being an cumbersome mutt. But as soon as he turned again, he embraces his new form, forsaking his humanity. I believe he'll break away from the Foot, maybe even challenge Shredder himself. It's going to be an interesting season 2.

I would love to see Bradford challenge Shredder, but I don't know if that'll happen at all or not. It would be cool though if he did.

It's going to be an interesting season 2.That's the impression I got myself. :D I can see this being a big character and story building season for both of them.

With Xever, I can see him becoming a sort of dark anti-villain for a time, only really willing to help the Turtles or Baxter covertly if it allows him to be human again. His desire to be human will become a bigger driving force then it was before, because we know he's missing being a human terribly.

With Bradford I can definitely see him challenging the Shredder after his second mutation, or even doing it with Karai while the Shredder's still in Japan. He was already a nasty arrogant bastard even before his mutations, but now that he has the 'physique' and ability to back it up, I can see the desire for power overriding any loyalty to the Shredder he once had.
