Video Games

This is a topic for anyone to talk about those great video games we all love. I'm personally not a pc gamer since I have a crap comp but I am an avid console gamer. Right now I'm waiting on WMX8 and some other Nintendo mascot games. What's everyone elses situation in the VG scene?

I'm more into PS1 RPG's myself. Right now, I'm working on DM3, but I still have a lot of work to do, since I've only had it for 4 days. Cool so far.

Once I get home, I'm definitely going to do some catching up with my PS2, starting with Final Fantasy 10 and Metal Gear Solid 2.

Oh! I've heard of Ogre Battle 64. I've only played Ogre Tactics, though, and that was for the SNES. It was a really fun strategy game. :smile:

I just love beat 'em ups. My favourite of all time being Turtles Tournament Fighters.

I loved Wario Land on the game boy as well.

Sadly I don't find time to play video games anymore. I only have to sit down and look remotely comfortable for Ana to bother me.

I'm a huge fan of video games. You can tell by the number of systems that I own: Genesis, 32X, Sega CD, SNES, Gameboy, Game Gear, Playstation, DC, Playstation 2, and PC.
And that's not counting emulators. :wink:

Wow Krang, you're definitely a hardcore gamer! Hmm...I've got a few emulators too, but they're all old systems I already have. I just got them because I can't play any games at the dorms.

Cool. I don't like FF anymore. The SNES ones were good but then it just got shallow and boring. I'm a huge gamer too Krang I have: NES, SNES, Genesis, 32X, GameBoy, GB Color, GB Advanced, PSX, N64, Dreamcast, PS2,
Gamecube and of course a PC, although it's weak and I can only play games like Star Craft and The Sims. I'll probably be gettin X-Box soon. I'll have to trade in my psx but I don't need it since I have PS2.

I still have my Atari & numerous games, but it's been picky about when it wants to work (at all), NES, SNES, original GameBoy & GameBoy Advance... so help me, there'd better a turtles games for GameBoy Advance when they make 'em for all the other new systems cuz I don't have any of those! *grr* I know, I'm stuck in the stone age *grin*

Love the Mario Games! All three for NES, then I got All Stars for the SNES along with Super Mario World, & the first two for GameBoy. Mario Golf is pretty neat, too :smile: And Super Mario Kart for SNES & Kart Advance for GmeBoy Advance! I get so obsessed with those two... & Road To Wrestlemania. Heh heh... I love playing as Jericho *evil grin*

And I'm obsessed with Tournament Fighters. One Level 3 I've beaten Karai with Don, Mike, & Raph (in that order). Poor Leo, I just can't win with him. Oh, yeah, I hate Karai in that game.

*meekly trodes into this tread* Yes, I am one of the rare and few who doesn't own one single VG console! Not even a Gameboy. :razz:

I do have emulators on my PC now, at least. The funniest thing, Hubby and I noticed that the Gamcube, the PS2 and the Xbox finally dropped in price! Now the PS2 is only $200, and hubby actualy considered getting it. Then the shiney DVDs he wanted were on sale, demanding that they be bought instead. :ohwell:

But the thing that has most recently screamed "BUY ME!!" in my ear, is a GameCube.... of course I only want it for Luigi's Mansion.... but why not... :grin:

Gamecube! I wouldn't mind having a Gamecube...especially with Pikmin, and Resident Evil, and all kinds of other cool games for it...

GC rules. This is THE year for Nintendo. Mario Sunshine, Zelda, Metroid Prime. Those are just a few.

A new Metroid game! I loved the Metroid series...perhaps I shall purchase a Game Cube someday...

Gah! I could never figure out Metroid. I always end up playing it in a loop. I'll get to a certain point &amp; just keep backtracking &amp; getting stuck in the same spot again. *ugh* It's no wonder I haven't attempted it in a while.

Oy, backtracking is a must in Metroid. That's the only way you'll get all of the goodies. But don't sweat it, Riph Raph! If at first you don't succeed, try again. :wink:

Hey Loolaa! I've finally bought Final Fantasy 10! I like it...too bad Tidus's voice actor gets really annoying. Hey, didja know Robbie Rist is listed in the credits? I don't know who's voice he does though...it's not one of the major characters. Btw, Robbie does the voice of Mikey in the movies, in case anyone didn't know that... :wink:

Yeah, Tidus has that whiny Luke Skywalker quality to him, doesn't he! He grows on you though as you get to know him.

I never noticed Robbie Rist in there. Oh well. I had to take it back to Blockbusters and the Evrae kept killing me anyhoo. :razz:

Yep, the game's addicting! I really dig Lulu's character, and I also like Auron and Kimhari.
